  1. I like the song, your vocal is very cool but there is way too much saturtion on the the mix, but that being said this is a killer idea. the next song The Gentle Hours Of Evening is really good..
  2. A few years ago I was looking through some CakeWalk vids" on youtube and ran across this.. the language is kind of rough, but it's a belly laugh this guy goes off.
  3. at 1:32 sounds like it went off the rails a little, other then that it's an awesome stereo mix.

really nice, all of the above...
  5. This song should be playing 24 hours a day on a jukebox in a smoky bar somewhere on the bayou. this is a dark, emotional ballad. whats not to like? I hope you post more songs here...
  6. It has a merseybeat kind of quality to it, I have the laptop on the good speakers today. I really like the sound of the piano in the breaks. and the saturated snare snap sounds very cool. good lyrics, happy groove. good one.
  7. It reminds me of the Six Pistols it sounds good, has a movie soundtrack feel to it. the thing about page views is, some people are just blowing through this forum while they're waiting for a reply somewhere else.
  8. since you went there it's sounds like something right off of Highway 61, when he was jamming with Paul Butterfield.
  9. kick *****, is that you friend doing those back ground vocals as well? rock & roll.
  10. Me too, I was eight years old when this song came out. I always thought it was strange that Mac "baby don't get hooked on me" Davis wrote this song. but then again 1969 was a very strange year. thanks for the flashbacks

I think I like your vocal just a little better then the original ( Josh's voice is too deep, I know it's classic country and people love it ) kind of sounds like you moved up a fret or two as well. Good Job.
  12. Sounds good, I'm listening through my good speakers and it's a nice wide mix, the Elvis thing aside it's obvious you have a great voice.
  13. I like it, it's kind of folk rock. I also listend to Sweet Anne. good mix, your stuff is unusual in a good way.
  14. It's been pointed out to me that comparing your songs with other bands might come off as a bit insincere and maybe not helpful to the over all point of this forum. so i'll knock it off and keep my comments on the over all mix and minor random babbling... once again, all apologies.
  15. Amen Brother.. Now get the hell off my lawn

cool vid" great song. I know this is gonna sound stupid but I hear a little bit of early Supertramp back when they were more of a jam band.
  17. Nicely done, i like the fat kick and the wide ride sounds good. all and all a nice sentimental song...
  18. Cool song, it reminds of a modern folkish Pete Seeger or The Kingston Trio tune. I like the art work too.
  19. One throws a mean hook, the other writes a mean hook.
  20. Awesome. i'm a big fan, makes me think of Laurie Anderson's Home Of The Brave. How did you teach that cat to play like that?
  21. So eat, drink, and be merry, Do you mind if I call you Merry?
  22. Love Joe Jackson, wasn't he one of the guys in that band the Jackson Six? The music industry can't sue you as long as you put it out for free. And besides right now sister disco is running the show.
  23. Hi John, do you mind if I call you John? Here's the deal. no-one on this forum is gonna score a billion dollar recording deal. basically we are just having a big conversation about music. you can write and you can play, and if you're anything like me music is part of your internal dialogue, so it's not like you can stop thinking about music anyway. it's healthy to have a creative outlet and nobody seems too offended by what you're posting so relax it's all good. Your lyrics are good, your playing is good, and you have a copy of Cake-walk so you have every right to post here.
