  1. Thanks Daryl, sweet pictures of the bay today, appreciate your ears and time. Foot tapping could result in dislocation.
  2. Thank you sir, it was fun to create.
  3. Thanks for the ears, it did take some thinking about, some of the fills are edited fills from one of the MIDI packs which had odd time signatures, though I may cheat I always have to fiddle as they kit used had far more toms than the fills were written for.
  4. Thank you sir, perhaps that is the secret more exposure 😉. Nice to know the tempo changes and drums were enjoyed.
  5. Good to know no animals were affected Tom, thanks my friend appreciated

    Speak Your Mind

That Tube Saturator from Wave Arts is a really nice plugin, CPU heavy but it does add a wonderful sound. Mix works here.
  7. Nice mix, vocal clear and present, other voices sound balanced and well placed, worthy of an Sweet guitar.
  8. Thanks for the ears Larry, it's done now, time is limited, so I am moving on to the next which is festering in the furry brain. Time to leave the pain alone explore different ideas.
  9. Thank you, Bjorn nice to know you both enjoyed and survived 😊
  10. Has all the hallmarks of soundtrack material, the mix comes across reasonably well balanced on my Event 20/20's. I suspect that the producers didn't know what they wanted in reality, from what I have read on the subject of soundtracks this is often the case.
  11. Thank you Lynn, I think that is the way I am going. I have a stupid number of VSTi Synth emulations, three, or is it four, of which are Modular giving an endless source for making noises. Your support and the support of the others here is greatly appreciated, there is another idea bubbling in the ingredients pot waiting for me to find a chance to spend more than the 30 seconds Missi, the dog, lets me have in the studio.
  12. Thank you Mark, your continued support is appreciated. The idea for the track came in a dream some two months ago, then the lyrics popped into my head as I was reviewing the track a couple of days ago. In all honesty the drums are not entirely my own work, I had a little help from SD3 fills that I tweaked, the main beat is mine though. Did you suss the time signature? You could say it is in 12/8, but just for fun it is alternating bars of 5/8 & 7/8, which allowed for some twists and some slightly erratic jumps. The middle 8/vocal which is in 12/8 though the erratic rhythmic feel is maintained on the ride.
  13. Thank you, good to know you survived too. 😉
  14. Sounds fine to me, like you when I hear a cover with a totally different arrangement it rarely works. Mix is up to your usual standard, clear, crisp, each instrument voice identifiable.
  15. This has been in the bakery for a few months I hope you enjoy, it does contain a vocal that can be fatal to none Wookiee life forms Toys used Cherry Audio: Mercury 4 and Lowdown Arturia: Piano V version 3 and Stage 73 V version 3 Toontrack Superior Drummer 3 All plugins Cakewalk. except the Reverb which is from Overloud Breverb.

    Tom's Diner

Just had a listen on YouTube, sounds like a good cover. I watched the version that starts with them walking into a room.

    Baby Blue

@FreeEarCandy had 10 minutes to do some legal 💩 for Ms W. Consequently whilst doing that I took the opportunity to listen to some music. Interesting trip, I can hear the shifting emotions, if I was to constructively crit anything for me the toms sound a little boxy, I think. I think I am listening to the first mix. I am listening in the studio but on my Event 20/20's, Bass seems present enough the vocals are clear and present and full of emotion. All in all nice job

    Tom's Diner

@mark skinner Different, this is one of my favourites from her. I like both of the versions she has produced. This is different again. Enjoyable version, very listenable. The female BV nice.

    Baby Blue

I am about my dog has been needy lately, there is a track in the works, just having trouble finding time. A close friend died recently he kindly left me his Epiphone SG, which has had some of my attention. I have been listening as well but just on my tablet which is useless for being honest. Thanks for asking. 😎
  20. @kitekrazy some how not sure this is the place to complain about another companies software registration issue.
  21. Seems this thread has become a little personal for some. Keep it polite people. As the rabbit hole has been achieved the inevitable is going to occur.
  22. Nice synth intro @steve@baselines.com. Very open airy sounding mix here.
  23. @mark skinner I may over use this with your music Mark but this is cool cool cool grooving . Sounds well balanced on my Event 20/20's
  24. A little different from much of your stuff Nigel, nice little EP break small but important. Good groove overall, well balanced mix. Listening on the main Hi Fi with sub, nice sold kick and bass with no booming.
