  1. Thanks for checking. The limitation you found works for 32bit sfz+ in CbB, but not for 64bit sfz here on Windows 10. I ran thru all the modes on 64bit sfz but none worked, so it's definitely fouled up somehow. sfz and sfz+ are different synths that both play sf2 soundfonts. 32bit sfz+ actually works in 64bit CbB bridged >>in all but SF modes<<, so I have that option. I also have 32bit sfz+ standalone that works properly in all modes. Edit: Corrections
  2. Thanks Patrick, I've done that to many sf2's but there's one that won't convert correctly. It's not a big issue 'cause I can still use 32 bit Sonar when needed. Curious if any other rgc-sfz users have the same issue with 64bit on Windows 10?
  3. It's on the Legacy website Knowledge Base page. Sign in to your legacy account and go here: https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013361/SONAR-X3e-Update Scroll to bottom of page for links. Download should be instant now that the URL is fixed.
  4. There will always be at least one Take Lane when audio or MIDI data exists. Experiment with Preference settings. If you have both the red arrows below selected when recording you may have issues locating separate clips as some end up hiding behind others when they aren't in their own take lane. I like Reuse Existing Lane, Unless Takes Overlap so they are more visible. Selecting notes and dragging them while holding Ctrl will copy & paste notes without creating new clips or Take Lanes, unless they are dragged to a new track. When Paste as New Clips is selected in Edit > Paste Special I still have the issue of pasted notes in PRV creating full length clips in Track View even when only one note is pasted.
  5. Kinda like me I guess... BTW, a 64 bit version of SFZ (the one I'm having issue with) was offered thru Sonar Platinum. It worked fine until recently so it may be a Windows 10 update that broke it.
  6. No worries, just wondering what may have caused this. I've got several sf2 players, but this one renders sophisticated sounds more faithfully. Some of them can really slaughter a sound beyond recognition.
  7. The famous sf2 soundfont player from RGC used to work in 64 bit Sonar and CbB, but no more on my Win10 system?! You can insert it, but it won't load any sf2 files. The 32bit version in 32bit Sonar still works.
  8. Thanks. I hadn't gotten to making a screen shot yet. @badt1mes the banks function is in BREVERB. Just right click on the bank in question as shown in outrage's screen shot.
  9. Try this: Go to Preferences > Customization > Editing > Cut, Paste and Duplicate and check Use Paste Special Options on Paste Then open Edit > Paste Special... and check desired options
  10. It depends on the unit and how they're set up tho. I have 2 gaming laptops that are whisper quiet most of the time. Never hear 'em. Drawback for this is they can run hotter than you'd expect and may need to be shut off now and then, tho this hasn't been an issue for me either. OTOH they're pretty easy to isolate if necessary.
  11. Seems so. It just crashed CbB while testing it. Best to work with pre-bounced clips and save and reopen CbB/Sonar after each edit. Another issue is when vvocal is in multidock, I can hit "D" to toggle from Track View to vvocal but not the other way around. Once vvocal is in view, it sticks. Using the File Menu to get back also fails on occasion. I doubt more RAM would change anything. It is what it is... discontinued, defunct, obsolete, etc.
  12. Not sure how to do that with vvocal. I've only used it as a region fx on actual wave clips.
  13. Try this: 1. Under BANKS, right-click the bank in question 2. Choose Restore from factory bank... 3. Click the corresponding bank 4. Double-click the preset to refresh Overloud restores the presets from a hidden file called factory-presets.db Seems there's no real documentation on this. BREVERB manual shows there's a button in Preferences but the current version omits this.
  14. The latest version of V-Vocal I have. I tried it on a 3:14 min frozen Dimension Pro track loaded with a GPO flute w/o incident. I also tried it on a 3:14 min frozen Kontakt 5.8 track with the C.Bechstein grand piano, which is probably under 7 GB. However, once the tracks are frozen, the resulting waves are only around 55 MB each.
  15. Can't speak to Win11 but v1.5.2.5 (2011) works crash free here on Win10 with 16 or 32GB ram. Just noticed a long standing issue I've had with the GUI being cut off on the right side thru out the X series and early CbB is now gone. 😎
  16. Anything is possible at this point but my results are what they are and your screenshot agrees.
  17. (Db, Eb, F#, G#, Bb) seem to hold no matter what the key. You can right-click a note in Staff View and change it so either symbol is displayed there, but not in PRV AFAICT.
  18. Along with Glenn's post, you don't have to install S8.5 to get the plugins. Just uncheck everything except the plugins you want installed. Then rescan them for use in other DAWs. If you do install S8.5, in rare cases you may need to install and run with administrator privileges for some plugins to work.
  19. Simply right-click and drag over it, then hit Delete. Left-click is for moving it. Same behavior for PRV cc's.
  20. The Folder/Track name window can be stretched by dragging the right end out.
  21. @msmcleod Make it so adding an Automated Mute Envelope automatically switches the Track's Mute button to the Automated Mute button. As-is, you have to switch it manually. And if you didn't know you can do that, you'd never see it switch on and off. 😎 Also, when Archiving a Track with Automated Mute, the Mute button reverts to the default button when the Automated button should remain. This is a bug, No?
  22. AFAIK X1d was the last update for Sonar X1 but it's not on our product page for some reason. It's available on the Knowledge Base page of the legacy site here: https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013277/SONAR-X1d-Update Update: You must log into you legacy account 1st, then click one of the links. Download should be instant now that the URL is fixed.
  23. Sonar 8.3 runs fine on Win 10 here. Haven't tried it on Win 11 yet.
