Since only one response out of 80+ viewers I can only assume this is a rare event. Pan law is 0 and never touched. Audio files seem ok as they play correctly in a new track. So... old tracks must be corrupted?! Any rate, they are now replaced with new tracks properly panned.
-
what did I do??? One mono audio track plays hard left and one mono track plays hard right when both Pan knobs are -0-. All track settings look right for playing dead center. Converting to stereo and panning opposite results in silence even though you can see wave form on both channels. Interleave button changes nothing. No FX. No bus. No automation. If I create a new audio track and copy the audio clip there it plays dead center as it should.

3rd topic from the top of the list.

Problem is with the 1st initial try. If I reselect the tracks and apply the change a 2nd time, it works.
-
Interesting. I just updated to that when I tested. Will reboot and test again.

This seems to be an issue with Pianissimo v1.0.0.15 and only in Cakewalk/Sonar. v1.0.0.12 works fine but is 32 bit and has to be bridged.

When selecting all tracks and setting Inputs with the inspector holding the Ctrl key, only one or 2 tracks change. When setting inputs with the Track Pane, they all change.

"Quit working" meant it would freeze with white screen and had to be forced off using Task Manager. I had issue with Plugin Manager not working right when I installed some of the Sonar X versions. I fixed it by installing them as admin and then forcing them to run as admin. Only then would Plugin Manager scan & load the plugins. Weird.

Thanks. That's actually what Craig's blog is about that Mark linked to above for dxshell & dxishell. Put them in your plugin folders and VSTHost or any other host will see dx as vst. Works great outside of DAW use but I've also had issues with dxshell interfering with DAWs when using them. FWIW, VSTHost is great but is proving a little flaky and quits working at times. And I haven't discovered if it can access more than the default channel on multichannel synths like TTS-1 and SYXG50.
-
One reason for asking is wanting to use TTS-1 DXi as a standalone outside of a DAW. SaviHost works great for VSTi's but not DXi's. "dxshell.dll & dxishell.dll"... Not sure if SaviHost can work with them at all but they do work with VSTHost (from same vender) which is a "basic" host program for running DX and VST plugins that aren't exclusive to another host. Not quite the same as a wrapped standalone plugin but it works. However, setting up VSTHost is too complex for me without a how-to video.

Thanks Mark, will check it out.

Is there one like SaviHost is for VSTs?

Obviously you're not a KISS fan. 😁 But I would like to know how you implement the 8 interfaces when most systems allow only one instance using ASIO... unless you're not using ASIO.

Sonar 8.5 thru SPlat. New Sonar includes an SD3 installer that should be useable in older Sonars.

Dimension Pro not showing up on WIN 11 computer
sjoens replied to gmp's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I think we've been confusing installer version with plugin version. Installer 1.5.5.13 and 1.5.5.16 will both install Dimension 1.5.0.11. I was able to install both. The only real difference between them is 1.5.5.16 won't require you to run Dimension as admin to register it. With 1.5.5.13 you have to run it as admin or it will say the number is invalid. FWIW, Sonar X1, X2, & X3 all came with Dimension 1.5 but they all had different serial numbers. What's weird is the latest CCC version has the same serial as the X2 version, not the X3 version. -
Is this unique to Sonar or does it also occur with the same wave file in CbB or older SONAR?

I think I requested this: https://discuss.cakewalk.com/topic/80763-automated-mute-button/#comment-560904 As-is you have to manually switch to Automated Mute button by right-clicking the Mute button.

Dimension Pro not showing up on WIN 11 computer
sjoens replied to gmp's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
My Legacy Cakewalk Products page says it's D-Pro Windows 1.5.0.13.001 which I assume is the vst version, but it downloads as D-ProInstall_1.5.5.13.exe. which is the installer version. -

Thanks, I'll double check it again. Edit: I was wrong. 1.5.5.16 appears to be the installer version, not the vst version. It installs Dimension Pro 1.5.0.11 https://legacy.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013416/D-Pro-1-5-5-16-Installer-Update According to cakewalk's KB page, 1.5.5.16 installer updated 1.5.5.13 to utilize the new CCC and aside from fixing the 'run as admin to register' issue, they both install version 1.5.0.11. My list of VST/DX versions: Dimension LE 1.2.0.69 - 2/7/2007 Dimension LE 1.2.0.70 DXi - 10/10/2007 Dimension LE 1.2.0.70 - 10/10/2007 Dimension LE 1.3.0.8 - 8/11/2008 Dimension LE 1.5.0.5 - 4/27/2010 Dimension Pro 1.5.0.5 - 4/27/2010 Dimension Pro 1.5.0.11 - 8/30/2010 (CCC version) -

I think "1.5.5.16" is a typo because installing it results in "1.5.5.13". My installed version is 1.5.0.5 from one of the Sonar/CbB installs. As mentioned, the CCC version requires the standalone to run as administrator for registration to stick. -
Sorry, I didn't notice the clip above it. I'm glad you solved it anyway. Comping can be a handful sometimes. I use Sound On Sound so I have more control over what's happening.

Doesn't the OP's screengrab show Take Lane T13, with the clip in question, as muted?
-
PC will always have the main modules by default. Unfortunately the old way of saving an empty PC preset was a bug and fixed years ago. I still have the preset I made but it doesn't work anymore.

I figured they were audio artifacts or remnants from an edited wave that's too low to hear or for the meters to pick up, but something is or was there as even one of your screen shots shows. I also thought they were sometimes caused by my audio interface. What I've done is splice the offending spot out and bounce the surrounding clips back together. When it persists, I chalk it up to OCD and move on. You could try exporting the clip into another DAW to see if it reports the same activity.
