    GoTo?

    This thread may help??
  2. We sometimes forget the very complex "Skylight Interface" was originally never intended to be changeable.
  3. Yes. Those could be color swatches under Inspectors if available. There are many roadblocks to theming CbB because several aspects of the "Skylight Interface" remain unchangeable, and probably will for a long time. ? Some of those aspects can be extracted from the TTSImage file, but changing them would affect all themes. Not desirable unless you only use one theme.
  4. ... I totally forgot I had replied to this post. Even after reading my replies I still don't remember. @msmcleod & grem, I didn't mean to sound snarky, just thinking out loud, I guess.
  5. Hey Limu, How great is it that we get to tell everybody how Cakewalk lets you customize your Daw and never pay for what you need?
  6. I see by SK's screenshot that there's still an issue displaying the Folder data screen. Sonar did this on occasion with my older systems. With CbB on my newest laptop, I haven't seen it until now.... The data screen fades from right to left.
  7. I think having the Grid Lines extend into the Tempo Track and adding Vertical Snap would be nice. Currently with Grid Lines and Snap turned on, you can zoom in a little and locate/relocate horizontal Tempo points fairly easily as-is. Setting Vertical points is another story requiring the right-click/Properties window or using the Inspector to set accurately.
  8. I think you can just hit "W" once to get to a loop's beginning point.
  9. Turned on my Behringer UFX1204 mixer/interface and found one channel creating a high pitched sine wave. No inputs were active. I powered the mixer OFF and back ON but the sound was still there. The EQ section has an On/OFF switch which was ON, so I turned it off and the sound quit. Turned it back on and all was good. Seems one of the EQ pots was generating the noise. I've never seen this happen before on any mixer/interface.
  10. I've forgotten everything I learned. Good thing I still remember there's a forum... ?
  11. Nice. That "expanse" you speak of used to be reserved for Sonar version labeling ("SONAR X1", etc.). I use it for theme name labeling.
  12. One issue I have with changing colors at the clip level is every time you bounce one, it reverts to the default colors forcing you to repeat the changes.
  13. What would happen if the actual bmp was missing from it's folder or misnamed?
  14. There is ongoing discussions about these issues. Killing the process in TM never works for me. You're right about Cake not wanting to share audio devices. I only use an outboard interface with CbB, but it won't open at all even if another application is already using the onboard sound.
  15. Sir... Please go to Preferences > Customization > Colors and select Color Category: Piano Roll View. Next find and change colors to: PRV Black Keys Background (Db/Eb) (double set of black keys) PRV Black Keys Background (Gb/Ab/Bb) (triple set of black keys) PRV Grid Background (white keys & CC Pane) Click OK All set. Save the color set for easy recall. Contrary to the description, these do NOT change the actual key colors but the PRV background they represent. You can also change the entire color set to Normal3 for a light PRV. Can I get a barrel of Root Beer sent to my virtual address instead???
  16. Problem is, it doesn't open so it's not in memory or listed in Task Manager. Windows Report.wer file may have clues? If so, I have 68 of 'em from 11/1/20 to 5/9/21. Report.wer
  17. A clue for sure. Still hard for me to get used to.
  18. Sorry, by Fail to Open I meant initially opening CbB when another program is using any type of audio source.
  19. On build 155 I get similar issues. The menu is above the FX bin and there's a ghosted border outside of it (red arrow in pic). The mouse highlight acts goofy when the cursor is inside this border. IOW, the highlight starts out above the cursor then aligns right when the cursor reaches the menu window.
  20. The collapse button (<</>>) works for this, but it would be less confusing if the Synth buttons were still there. Especially when the Synth Rack is the only window open in the Browser.
  21. For me, in these 2 cases, the Task Manager trick never works. Usually requires shutting it all down with a system reboot. Sometimes the (initial) Fail to Open scenario can be fixed by closing the offending program which releases the audio. (Edited)
  22. Currently obsolete. Tabs are leftovers from when the synth rack was part of the Browser. A while back they separated it from the Browser even tho it's still tied to it. Confusing for sure when collapsed. I would have preferred they left it as-was and made each tab draggable out to it's own floating window instead of just the synth rack.
  23. It will also (initially) fail to open after the splash screen if ANY other program is using ANY other sound device. This and the OP's issue have been a constant feature set shared by NO other DAW or program. ? "Exclusive control" is deactivated. This and the OP are my most requested fixes before any other feature or bug fix. (Edited)
  24. This happens when the 2 screens are scaled differently in Display Settings with CbB on screen 2. Did not happen before 2021.04.
