  1. Same here. Drew said I had it installed in the wrong place (!??), has my details to see what might be done to fix it. Might have something to do with the BFD2 content (related issues), but pure conjecture on my part. I've relocated it to a top level directory, and ran a "Search Folder", still not picking it up. NB, I'm referring to the ZP-1 Zildjian pack purchased outside of the FXpansion ecosystem which starts with a ZLZP1 prefix on the serial #. ... Despite the Chevy Chase launch, I expect them to get it sorted out to most everyone's satisfaction.
  2. More up-to-date info here and here. https://forum.bfddrums.com/
  3. My guess is most likely not as the update installs were fairly small and ran pretty quick on my system.
  4. I'd advise a bit of caution wrt to the reappearance of BFD3 as it's not finding -any- audio data (kit pieces) from earlier versions (BFD2 or 1.5) on my system. Running "Tools | Set up content locations..." is flagging these paths with "License!" Selecting the option to "Add BFD2 paths" launches the license manager and appears to run but has not resolved the issue. I'm a long time user with a strong preference for it over the alternatives and expect some issues as they scramble to remain relevant, but this would be a showstopper for me. They were quick to respond with a previous note on 3rd party content, will post an update here when available, UPDATE: Drew has been most responsive. 1. "BFD2 content not loading is a known issue. We are working on getting everyone who owns BFD2 a copy of the London Sessions pack, and everyone who owns BFD1 a copy of the Eldorado pack as those are the modern equivalents." > fwiw, I was able to get back most (all?) of the BFD1.5 content by doing the registry hack (which I think can also be done by running BFD3 as admin and rescanning the content paths). The BFD2 content (all) fails to show up anywhere in BFD3 (not listed in the libraries/kits/drums, etc.). Both BFD and BFD2 content are still flagged as "License!" though. 2. It did not find the Zildjian ZP-1 content which was installed under the BFD2/Audio dir. Checking to see if I have to reinstall or can get by with just dragging the folder to a different location. 3. It did find the JNF expansion which is installed under the BFD2/Audio dir Also working on best practices for cleaning up existing installations (if and as needed).
  5. the kik on the 3-and instead of the 3 seemed at odds with the overall groove. nice mix though.
  6. Recently looked into a few reverb options for a project with strings in it (smaller ensemble, not full blown orchestral) and this one stood out. https://www.liquidsonics.com/software/seventh-heaven/ Good bang for the buck, to the point where I plan to buy the Professional version. FWIW, had been using plates and convolution verbs, but this one got there pretty quickly and just sounded 'right'.
  7. Spent cycles exploring this aspect as well. The High Definition Audio Bus was a persistent factor which required deleting the related services. Merely disabling them in the Device Manager was not sufficient. Currently using an ATI AMD Radeon HD 5450, but experiencing "digital ripping noise" when opening the browser (i.e. a VST manual) during playback which never used to happen. Increasing the latency for the A/I ASIO drivers (and reinstalled them after the latest WIN10 update) helps, but can't shake the sense there is still some other factor. @Jeff Bowman What were the specs/model numbers for the video cards in your case?
  8. A ProChannel Delay from Valhalla would be nice. Their interface design approach might scale well enough to make it worth considering... FWIW, I make this suggestion every time I buy something from them.
  9. Would be totally fine with (and prefer) that. Made a completely unfounded assumption of a greater coding effort as the Inspector appears to be a custom implementation vs standard menu bar functionality. (It would be easier to reorder what's already there.)
  10. A request for improved productivity. Use Case: Mixing; excessive scrolling to display+select || delete a Send 1. Relocate the audio I/F I/O listings to the end of the display. They are currently the first entry in the display which in my case is 31 entries and takes up more than half the vertical real estate. Excessive scrolling is required to display a Bus/Aux or S/C of interest. IME, audio I/F I/O is more of a one time setup activity and easily managed with the "[+] Track" feature and project templates. Send, Bus and S/C assignments log considerably higher activity. It would be nice to do so without having to wade through a long list of Audio I/F I/O. 2. Relocate "Delete Send" to the top the Send list (i.e same as FX Bin). An alternative to excessive scrolling has been suggested but it's more work/defocus than desirable imho; a. Left click "Send" b. Move mouse to highlight "--- none ---" c. Press the Up Arrow key (sends focus to the *last* entry which is "Delete Send") d. Press "Enter" key 3. I'm also seeing a focus issue between the Send and FX Bin which causes the Inspector display to "jump" when trying to select an FX or Send. The scenario is a Send bin with 1X send selected and a second empty Send slot displayed in the Inspector. > Left Click on [+] Send (actually anywhere in the Send bin) - The display "jumps", hiding the empty Send slot and leaves the mouse pointer positioned over the FX bin. - To complete the intended activity, you have to reposition the mouse pointer and reselect Send [+]. > Clicking anywhere in the FX Bin will cause the Send to expand and show the empty slot again. > Once this state is active, it is consistently repeatable (and annoying).

  14. Rhoda playing the piano in the original "The Bad Seed"?
  15. My things have changed. IME, they're almost a requisite if you were to apply for a digital/social media anything job these days. Got ink?
  16. Is there a metric version of this?
  17. Not sure what type of work you were applying for, but might have been a missed opportunity. https://www.baunovus.com/insight-music The link is to an article regarding the early days of programming and an example of looking beyond stereotypes. And for a few degrees of separation, ran into Uriah Heep's (original) bassist when he was working for IBM in Scotland. Wonder what his hiring manager was thinking. Or what he put on his resume. ?
  18. Looks like a channel strip for bass. Might be worth a try, but I'm a bit skeptical about compressor types that morph between each other. The saturation sounds like it must be in parallel (based on the claim that low end is preserved to some degree.). And a Boss OC-3 emulation would have made more sense to me than a doubler. I gave this one a shot https://shop.audified.com/products/tonespot-bass-pro some time ago but end up with the usual suspects every time. Gotta love a review that starts off with; "Let me show you how to use this. Pick a preset..."
  19. Gone down a similar path wrt boxes, etc, but find the bass+setup itself makes a difference. The challenge is can you get close enough with something like the Lindell channel strips?
  20. I've liked the plugins I have from BRA, but would have to compare this to Vahalla's Plate to see if there's much of a practical difference. Should probably check it against the UAD EMT140 as well. ... The three plate modes might be the feature of interest.
  21. Especially at volume. If you only dabble in digital emulations you might be forgiven for thinking that modelling is equivalent to the real thing. There are a few sims that can be quite useful, at least for my purposes, but they are just not the same.
  22. If you haven't seen it already; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzt-PaR0XUw&fbclid=IwAR0vE6BG_q5n5wqPo8SrJDciPuN9gbIQjo-PMUisvr2LEE9xNUFNxa4oCtw I'm waiting for someone to come out with the bog oak kit.
  23. I think I've done this before. Press 'H' (track manager) to make sure everything is selected for visibility.
