Oddness with Plugin Boutique account (serial numbers)
User 905133 replied to Starship Krupa's topic in Deals
Not sure if this stems from my comment (see above). In any case, let me clarify. My purchase of Xpand!2 as a single was not a case of accidentally buying something I already had. The VIP 3.1 Complete Bundle included it and I knew that. But Plugin Boutique only gave me 1/2 to 1/3 of the serial numbers that they should have. In case the bundle turned out to be a mistake and they were not going to honor my purchase, I intentionally purchased Xpand!2 as a single (I think it was $10), so at least I would have that in case they backed out of the sale. The bundle was my first purchase from PB and I had no idea if they would get me all the SNs I was supposed to get. Apologies if the context wasn't clear from the abbreviated version of the episode I posted. BTW, the bottom line is that they got me all the serial numbers/downloads/codes for all of the products listed in the bundle. IIRC it took close to a week to get it sorted out, but I didn't hold that against them because them came through for me. -
Arturia's is the closest. This one has little punch and the modulation has noticeable differences. Just an update: As a low-cost CZ soft synth, Virtual CZ worked well for most of what I wanted it for. However, I have since gotten into the Arturia V Collection and really appreciate their modernized CZ V version.

Oddness with Plugin Boutique account (serial numbers)

Thanks to your posts on this subject and the interest they seem to have created, I looked at the contents of the various tabs--not just My Products, but Orders, Updates, and Free. It brought back some memories--like my first purchase at Plugin Boutique the VIP 3.1 Complete Bundle which I found after all the comments about AIR Music Technology's products, especially Xpand!2. Unlike your problem, I only had a few serial numbers for some of the products allegedly in the bundle. Although I was bordering on thinking this was a case of Bait-and-switch, it did get resolved after a number of exchanges with customer support, but not before I made a separate purchase for Xpand!2 which I just "had to have" because of all the wonderful things I had seen about it. I also saw that I have a whole bunch of freebies (some downloaded as freebies, some acquired as monthly perks). Also, I had forgotten that I used to purchase Melda plugins there. I also saw I had updates including update notices for Melda plugins I got through Plugin Boutique. I find it very odd that I now have order numbers from today for 6 free items from over the years. Oh, wait. Those were generated from clicking "Download" today via the My Updates tab and includes one for MSoundFactoryLE. I will try clicking another update for one of the others I originally got from Plugin Boutique. YUP!!!!!! Of course, for Melda, the button just goes to the usual Melda Productions Downloads/Installer web page. Is there any chance you clicked on the Download buttons in Plug-in Boutique using the My Updates mechanism? -
If you are using a VST3 and they have a VST2 version, do Bank Switch Commands + Program Changes work with the VST2 version? I don't have the Sound Canvas VA, but I have found with some plug-ins VST2 version work even if the VST3 version doesn't. Note: I have used several Roland Sound modules (hardware) that use variations of the Sound Canvas tone sets. I think the only software version I have is the old Edirol Sound Canvas.

This issue comes up from time to time, which is the original [recording] and which is the cover? I don't know the answer, But here's a tune I like that might be a cover:

BTW, I updated Analog Lab V on my older Audio PC. No Acid V sample presets. Acid V does work in Demo Mode. Personally, since we get to try all of the presets and play around with the instruments, I think it showcases Acid V more than a handful or two of non-editable presets in Analog V.

Google knows Mt. / Mount Rockmore. Example 1 Example 2 Example 3:

WTF is Mt. Synthmore? Google doesn't seem to know. Did you make that up?
-
@ralfrobert ASC reports that I have the latest build of Analog Lab. Are you seeing Acid V there? If so, maybe I am looking in the wrong locations. Also, what version do you have?
-
As of yesterday, I didn't see any after I updated Analog Lab V. That's what prompted me to try the demo and why I suggested trying it in Demo Mode (above). I just checked. I don't see them in Analog V v.5.7.4.371.

Not sure if the video has been redone, moved, or removed.

I tried Acid V (that is, I downloaded and ran it in Demo Mode) and I like the sounds as sounds and over the past 6-8 months I have come to appreciate the way Arturia sets up its Advanced Features. I don't do music that would take advantage of those sounds, but I would encourage others who do to try it in Demo Mode after watching the videos.

75% off IK Multimedia SampleTank 4, now $49.99 instead of $199:
User 905133 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I was thinking that the low price for ST4 might be a lead in to a Group Buy type of promotion for the libraries--kind of like Buy 1 ST Library at $29.99 and get up to 88 depending on how many people participate. So, by selling ST4 for $50 they could really generate some serious revenue. -
"I started dating a zookeeper, but if you ask me, he should be IN the zoo himself." "Why do you say that?" "Well, he's more of an animal than a human!" "Oh? What kind of an animal is he? "A cheetah."

There should be a thread about giveaways and contests.

Cakewalk files inside Google Drive and "Read only" error message when saving.
User 905133 replied to Edward Allen's question in Q&A
I remember there was some discussion about this kind of thing. A forum search for "Google Drive" turned up this thread ("specified folder is read only error"). I am not sure a solution is mentioned, but others seem to have had this issue. -
$99 for me not logged in; $49 logged in. It doesn't grab me, though I have tried and do like some of their vintage emulations and Pigments.

The Turtles cover of this Dylan tune has always been a classic: But I just discovered this one--different, but excellent: There are so many other covers, too. Proof that Dylan was a great song writer! He also sings in his inimitable style (though many try to imitate him):

Yes. Staff View > Edit > Layout. Clarification: In the Staff View pane (not the main CbB menu bar) > Edit (tab) > Layout (option) > Staff Properties > Clef.
