  1. That's pretty nice; well done. Looking forward to trying this one out.
  2. @Gerry 1943, top right of the menu bar. Here I'm using my own custom workspace but "Basic" is one of the options.
  3. You could try setting your interface to insane buffer sizes, etc, to force Cakewalk to show you what it would do for real dropouts. Or similar.
  4. I guess this question is for @Craig Anderton - do we have any Techniques articles about Cakewalk to look forward to, or is it a done deal now that it's a free product? If so it's a shame because it seems to be that CbB is actually gaining new users, based on questions I see appearing on Reddit and Youtube comments....
  5. Do you have a USB audio interface? Are the mouse and audio I/O sharing a USB Hub? I may be way off-base but I used USB Tree View to map the ports on my DAW so I could be sure that my Focusrite USB interface was optimally connected and there were no possible conflicts. That said, I have no idea if this is your issue but it's probably worth an investigation.
  6. One person's "dated" is another person's "tested, trusted, familiar, efficient, muscle-memoried".
  7. Can't you create an arrangement with multiple copies of the section? And then commit it to the project? (not something I've tried, just thinking on the fly)
  8. I am pretty sure it is these: If you're using a custom theme, then changing the colors under Preferences > Colors will override the theme. The theme settings are here:
  9. @fonolit, just in case it helps: Timeline editing in Cakewalk, reloaded
  10. In Sonar/Cakewalk? Per clip? I don't think so. You can set the clip header colors for the whole environment using the Theme Editor, of course (Track View -> Clips Pane -> Clips) but the clip-specific options only cover clip body foreground and background.
  11. Hmm. On closer examination of your video, I think I see what you mean. This isn't happening for me - snap to measure seems to work for section resizing as I'd expect it to.
  12. When I create a new section, is there any way to immediately type the name? I'm forever creating a section and then right-clicking and selecting "rename"
  13. @winkpain, >>Re-sizing a Section by grabbing boundary edge has odd behavior and doesn't re-size to my chosen point but is offset awkwardly by a measure, You have snap to grid (1 measure) activated. Turn snap off and you should be able to resize the sections smoothly
  14. This was attempted a couple of years back, but the results weren't productizable. And now that Cakewalk is free, you'd have to be insane to think that the costs associated with such a development are recoverable.
  15. Clear sky thunder strikes are an actual thing
  16. Updated to 0.9.6 to cover version 2020.04 because I was updating my themes anyway and I figured I'd just Get It Done. See top post for URL.
  17. For what it's worth, the Arranger View has replaced 90% of my use case of Markers.
  18. Re: Marker Lock I lock a marker. I see the Marker Lock Indicator in the Markers view. What are the expected consequences of this? I can still move the marker in the Track View timeline, even though the marker is "locked". Is this a bug?
  19. Just grab the separator (it's invisible but watch the mouse cursor) and drag up to hide it. It's just like the video track or the navigator track. One could argue that it should have it's own item in the View menu for visibility, but hey, early days. There's no reason it HAS to be visible. See @scook's reply *blush*
  20. I've updated for 2020.04 EA release; see top post.
  21. I've verified that this theme works fine in the 2020.04 EA release. Feel free to use it as-is.
  22. I've updated this theme for 2020.04; see top post
