  1. I've been demoing the Cory Wong sim and quite impressed with it....versatile it is. Got some very nice clean tones as well as crunchy rhythm/leads. The Fx's are very nice as well and seriously thinking of getting it. Liked this video (of course, Tom Quayle can make anything sound good).
  2. Captain plugins are pretty good for chord progressions/basslines/melodies etc.. It's currently going for $79 right here: https://mixedinkey.com/captain-plugins/ Another one might be Scaler 2: https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/3-Studio-Tools/93-Music-Theory-Tools/6439-Scaler-2
  3. Actually, with the full version there isn't an issue. It's the Demo (time limit thing) that causes the crash and support apologized for this problem, but said there's no plans to fix it. Anyway, you're good to go.
  4. I still have my old Gear Box guitar input (in case I want use POD farm), but honestly haven't used POD farm in years. I'm still considering Helix Native, but their demo worked for awhile and then just crashed my system (apparently a known issue per support). Will keep an eye open for a deal as I do like the workflow/options with Helix.
  5. Simon, did you get the Helix Native?
  6. I was looking at Goliath as well and going to get the Demo. Most of the reviews on their site also favors Goliath.
  7. Yeah, I watched that and short video was on the fence. I'm trying to avoid installing libraries/plugins that I won't use and was hoping for an opinion on the library. Yes I know there are much larger libraries, but if this isn't all that useful, I see no point in install it. Anyway, no worries.
  8. How do you like it Abstract? worth the huge download?
  9. Thanks Zinc! I don't have Damage 1, so Damage 2 will have to be heavily discounted......or my wallet gets seriously damaged. You know how it is though, GAS just emanates from within.
  10. Very good stuff Kenny!! Enjoyed this groovy track mixed with some funky/jazzy/bluesy flavors, made it very tasty indeed!
  11. Is there's an upgrade path at NI for Damage?
  12. That's a Heavy, heavy, heavy price! I'm hoping Damage2 will be at good discount for this BF.
  13. Been using Webroot for about 6 years (or more) and very happy with their service. Very small footprint on the install and it just quietly works in the background.
  14. I have Kazrog's True Iron (which is excellent). How does Softube's Harmonics compare to True Iron?
  15. That's what I'm looking at as well....the FX crossgrade. Love the Chorus Dimension-D in the modulation bundle...one of the best sounding chorus fx's IMO.
  16. Thanks ZT for all the details, much appreciated. The only other library I remember getting from PluginGuru is MegaMagic Dreams, but I got it so long that it's not even showing in my account. Still, doesn't look like there's a Unify preset for that. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more libraries.
  17. Exactly my experience as well....I get lost in these presets. Besides that Horror/Halloween freebie are there any others to download? (thanks TTF for that BBC link)
  18. Not successful yet, but definitely inspired. I'm working on a few ideas and looking into all the tips you guys gave (Dave's suggestion is high on that list as it's easier to play the guitar than keys). Also checking out some of Captain's plugins.
  19. Good stuff there ZT!! I'm definitely going to be using this in the song creation process and will check out some more video's on the inner details/how to use it. The quality of sounds are simply excellent and very inspirational.
  20. Beautiful it is, well done mate!! I'm ready to make a trip and also visit my friend Ken.
  21. Unify is fantastic and have been playing with this quite a lot lately. It's set up great for us non-keyboardists and so easy to play.
