  1. I'd say ValhallaDSP's SuperMassive is close to that.
  2. My main concern with those new amp simulations is that they're becoming very resource intensive for an alleged improvement in sound quality that I'm yet to notice. And yes. That's a 5150/6505. The 6505+ has separate EQ, Resonance and Presence controls for the Clean/Crunch channel.
  3. I'll also add to what I said that the whole "one-hit clone" comment is very hypocritical considering IK is essentially copying the Arturia Microfreak with the smaller Uno Synth Pro. The Microfreak costs 50 bucks less and has polyphonic aftertouch, which neither version of the Uno Pro have, as I don't believe Fatar makes keybeds with polyphonic aftertouch.
  4. With the current setup, I literally have to wait a few seconds before playing back anything after adding an effect or such as that introduces a dropout. Even mundane things, like resetting TBPro's dpMeter cause dropouts. I don't know if it's something with my setup or some configuration in CbB. I don't have those issues in REAPER and Cubase.
  5. Eh...The Pro version is about the same size as Vienna Symphonic. The difference being that Vienna was over 700 GB in size back when 1 TB hard drivers were expensive.
  6. Keep in mind that some acoustic effects can only be accomplished with the existence of that difference in volume that naturally occurs across instruments in real life. Modern music is often tiresome to listen to because it lacks silent moments and those differences as every instrument has to be massive and occupy as much of the stereo space as possible.
  7. You're not welcome. I regret commenting about it and wish I could buy the time I wasted back.
  8. I am playing to a backing track of the song I found on the internet.
  9. I almost bought a Digi 001 at some stage. It does work on Windows 10, but you only get the DSP processing with the version of Pro Tools 6 it comes with.
  10. I would've looked for either a RME or a Firestudio 2626. USB C and 2.0 are still serial buses and you can't daisy chain interfaces like you can in Firewire. I remember Rick Naqvi demonstrating a setup where he had 4 Firestudios daisy chained and synced along with other FW interfaces and ADAT preamps for about 112 channels of recording.
  11. Dark as in pitched lower? Because if that's the case, it's most likely a sample rate mismatch.
  12. I'd also recommend the free version of the kilohearts Toolbox bundle. Before you go telling me that you get nothing on it, I'll remind you that the only restriction not having the modules has is that you can't edit them in Snap Heap and you don't have them as single plugins. All presets work and you can tweak the modules you have and the macro controls set by whoever made the preset. You can also open Snap Heap inside itself for even crazier setups.
  13. I only have dropouts, not crashes. They happen at random, usually after having effects running during normal playback. None of those dropouts seem to happen in other DAWs, though I haven't tested that enough. One thing is certain: Intel CPUs tend to favor single threaded performance over multithreaded. If your development setup is entirely Intel, there's a 99% chance that you'll end up optmizing for that architecture even without noticing. I understand that is hard to get out of 20 years of monopoly, but come on.
  14. It's not like it took me almost 10 years to have money to buy an audio interface or anything like that...
  15. Isn't that "dark and harsh" sound what you get when you press the "4k" button?
  16. There's also machining, but we don't talk about that. It's even more expensive.
  17. I can't check because their website seems to have a new bug that won't allow me to login into my account. As soon as I click on log in, both text boxes get cleared and nothing happens.
  18. You could try IK's Axe IO. There's also that Audient interface that does it if I'm not mistaken.
  19. It's ironic that the anti-piracy mechanisms used in 99.9% of software these days harm the legitimate customer both in terms of convenience and performance.
  20. You can spend millions on recording equipment, but tou can't bypass your room.
  21. Knowing the exact type of instrument used is irrelevant to the point I'm making, considering that's the only keyboard mallet in the song.
  22. I remember when time traveling jokes used to be funny. Flying United will certainly be a drag.
  23. If I stand that desk on its side, does it go through a normal door without any disassembly or maneuvers?
  24. If Waves sends me one more email about CLA Epic, I swear...
