  1. That's because UAD doesn't sell enough of these to be able to do sales. If they didn't start making audio interfaces a few years ago, they wouldn't last, as the need for DSP cards was replaced with better and more powerful computers, despite the marketing claims from the likes of Avid, UAD and McDSP. LUNA is their attempt to bring more people into their ecosystem.
  2. Are you sure is a good idea to exult the qualities of your own products by engaging into corporate tribalism? Those so called "one-hit clones made by boot camp workers in China" ran circles around the Uno Synth when it came out on top of costing less.
  3. Considering how expensive the gear to even have access to those plugins costs, UAD should be more generous, IMO. That reminds me of the 25$ gift card they gave with their DSP cards. You got no plugins with them and no plugin they offered could be bought with that coupon or even discounted heavily.
  4. I'm currently emailing support because Waves seems to think Chrome is the only browser that exists and I can't login into their website.
  5. ...In the event they work like advertised by Avid, which is seldom the case. They're the company that sell you audio interfaces with 16 bit converters and tell you the product is capable of 24 bit audio.
  6. Waves is still stuck in the era where you had to manually calculate latency, as there was no PDC... In Pro Tools.
  7. Those vouchers are kinda like Apple's recall plan for the 2010 Macbook done in November 2013 where your laptop would only be eligible if it was 3 years old from the date of purchase.
  8. Should I remind you that the full version of Steinberg's Iconica is 150 GB that you have to download in chunks of 50 GB using their manager?
  9. In other words, the best way to have plugin sandboxing in your DAW is to buy a tool that does it for you or use another DAW. Got it.
  10. Only two things I'd buy if I had money would be updating from LE 10.5 to Elements 11 and SpectraLayers Pro.
  11. That explains the constant dropouts I experience on CbB but not other DAWs. Guess I'll have to stop using the DAW since my old AMD cpu is not supported properly.
  12. There's also REAPER's ReaRoute and Voicemeeter.
  13. The reason MPE is implemented like it is is because of the limitations of MIDI 1.0. That will most likely change when they start rolling out MIDI 2.0
  14. Uninstall using revo uninstaller and set it to advanced scan, so it removes everything, including registry entries and such.
  15. Another thing that would help tremendously is plugin sandboxing. It seems to be semi present in the ProChannel, but not on the FX and Synth Racks. This prevents buggy plugins from taking the entire DAW with it when they crash.
  16. It's not a plugin. And you don't pay for it. The developer does. Have you noticed that Player compatible libraries are more expensive than ones that aren't Player compatible? That's because the developer pays a fixed percentage per license sold. I don't know what the deal is for NKS but starts with you and some sort of partnership deal with NI.
  17. I'm pretty sure NKS licensing would be fairly expensive, like having your Kontakt library Player compatible.
  18. Plugin sandboxing is becoming more commonplace. It makes no sense for a single plugin to have the ability to take your entire DAW with it when it crashes.
  19. Probably Not. Article-wise, Surge does support MPE and even comes with presets made by Roger Linn that are specifically made to make use of MPE via Linnstrument or other MPE controllers.
  20. I wonder how RX measures against SpectraLayers Pro, especially considering RX 8 Standard is 100 bucks more expensive.
  21. If you have V Vocal, it allows you to draw pitch envelopes on your clip.
  22. There's also Sonic Anomaly's TriLeverler2. It does exactly what Waves Vocal Rider does and it's free. I believe the term we're looking for here is "gain matching"
