  1. I'd rather have a really good type of each reverb, rather than one reverb that does everything sort of half decent. Sure I haven't tested things like Arturia's Delay Infinity and similar types, but still. Dragonfly Reverb is also nice.
  2. I like the one about emulation and marketing hype. How many CLA Epic emails I keep receiving again? Ironically, my problem is not latency. I can record and do quite a bit on 256 samples but somewhere along the way, CbB starts to struggle rendering some graphical stuff when there's a lot of them on screen. Reaper does the same thing but only the UI becomes slow. No dropouts happen.
  3. I could probably go outside and build a small shed in the time it takes for one instance of AT5 to load.
  4. I'll take a look at it once I'm done reinstalling my PC. I went back to Amplitube 4 because 5 is not mature enough. The last one of those new plugins I tested was the STL ones and I believe the Howard Benson one caused dropouts by just being loaded without any sound going through it. I also had similar experiences with Emissary and the new NadIR.
  5. Then that desk is over 2.1 meters wide. Not a small desk. But then you're moving to a different room with different "problems". If you monitor outside... There are no early reflect... You are a genius. All OP has to do is move his gear outside the home and record there.
  6. I recently moved back to Windows 7 and installed just CbB without any earlier versions have of Sonar, along with the early access update. Haven't finished installing everything. I'll rebuild the same project and report if there are any differences.
  7. Your PC is not even close to being a lowly PC. Not with 16 GB of RAM and a 4670, especially considering CbB is optimized for Intel CPUs because that's what the devs use.
  8. Even after the update, CbB is unusable. Type 1 audio dropouts every few seconds of playback, tweaking plugin parameters causes dropouts, sometimes pausing playback causes dropouts...In the current project I'm working, it takes me a few minutes to EQ a single track because you tweak a setting during playback, it causes a dropout, you go back play, then a random dropout occurs...I'm already running at the maximum latency I can.
  9. Unfortunately, that's the Ardour team refusing to implement a feature and using technicalities to excuse it. They do that a lot. If you go to their forums, requesting a feature even for mundane things usually results in something along the lines of "this is not how I (the creator) do things, so there's no reason for this feature to exist." Ask unfa or any YouTuber that uses Ardour and actively tries to help with its development. EDIT - It's also important to note that Ardour's creator was a ProTools user and essentially replicated what the software does...Down to the lack of stability and bugs. It's also even further behind in features than any other DAW out there, having added some rudimentary polishes to their MIDI stuff in the latest version. The creator is very adamant on keeping the software as close to the way he thinks things should be done and if it differs to that, he won't do it or will convince the rest of the team to not do it. If you push the issue, they'll gladly ignore you or tell you to grab the source code and implement it yourself.
  10. While Gojira is a great band, this plugin is just yet another one trick pony in the pile of metal plugins out there that all sound more or less the same, despite the numerous improvement claims made by developers. The only thing getting heavy is the amount of metal needed to make these run without dropouts. But they sure look pretty...
  11. Does this video series explain how Amplitube 5 is a downgrade from version 4? Slower, full of bugs, tons of issues regarding people not having the models they paid for in the early version transfering despite IK People guaranteeing all purchases would carry over across versions...
  12. Odin 2 is open source and the version on PA's site is out of date. Current version is 2.2.4 and can be grabbed on the plugin's website. https://www.thewavewarden.com/odin2
  13. All presets should be there. Are they vanished from there too?
  14. You often have three: Mono, Mono to Stereo and Stereo for every plugin.
  15. Title says it pretty much. On REAPER, you have a text box you can enter the exact sample value. On CbB, you have this slider that either goes too fast and it's imprecise or extremely slow if you use the arrow keys. Is there another way? I usually keep the latency low for recording, then bump it up for mixing/mastering.
  16. You're using WASAPI Shared as per your screenshots. Change it to ASIO.
  17. Did you try clicking the "Presets" button in the Sonitus plugin?
  18. I went to their website and I'm loving that dark red on black action that I have to squint my eyes to read. It's gonna be a charmer for visually impaired people.
  19. It seems to be a problem with the engine, as the addition of such plugins will also make the transport slower.
  20. I'd say that Kuassa has the most inspiring amp pack so far. Not IK, not Overloud, NI, STL, Positive Grid, JST others, which seem to be solely focused on making their plugins look good.
  21. It's also important to note that this thing only activates using iLok Cloud so if you're one of those people that have a audio pc that's disconnected or disconnect to do audio work, you need to have an iLok dongle and register they plugin to it.
  22. I love the fact that their plugins check for updates and that almost crashed my project as one of them opened ASC while I was working.
  23. If you have Cakewalk's Adaptive Limiter, loading an instance of it crashes CbB. When you re-open CbB, the plugin loads fine. Go figure.
