  1. I think I have those. They were offered for free some time ago. Only issue is that they're for Fat Channel XT and I only have Studio One Artist 2. The EQ with square buttons is most likely the Neve 1073 EQ.
  2. How am I gonna do that when the setting to hide meters on the console is per track?
  3. The issue of dirtyness is something people often complain with the T-Racks plugins. They tend to "print" on the hot side of things. Whether that's by design or to exploit the psychoacoustic effect of "louder sounds better" is anyone's guess. There's very little, if anything, that Pro Q3 can't do. I believe till this day that orchestral libraries have a personal vendetta against the percussion section. Either you don't have all the instruments, they're poorly represented, don't have all the articulations and so on.
  4. And what do you do with the ProChannel? It doesn't reset.
  5. While I'm not losing my hearing, I'm losing the ability to hear frequencies, which I keep being told is naturla and happens to everyone. In many instances I can't mix any style of music with lots of high fizz for long, as that makes my ears hurt. I don't think any of my mixes are good or even close to being good, no matter how many times you tell me otherwise. I'm constantly there. Judging by how I see my hearing degradating, I'll be completely deaf before I reach 50. That might be pure exaggeration on my part coupled with what I said before, but still.
  6. I know, but that's not bouncing in place. That's rendering to another track. Bouncing in place renders whatever you have set up on the track to a new audio clip that replaces the current one, then resets the track to its default state. CbB doesn't do that in a way you'd expect it to do. The closest is to do what I described, which still requires you to manually remove plugins or reset them afterwards.
  7. A sort of ideal compromise would be a network drive or storage server tied to your main network.
  8. To uninstall that device, you also have to uninstall your RX 580 video drivers.
  9. Some of the effects from past versions of SONAR, like Pentagon, only work when you run CbB as admin as well. Trying to run them normally results in them crashing CbB.
  10. Yes. I have a suspicion that CbB keeps drawings them when they're not visible and that makes the program slow to respond when it's playing back audio.
  11. So, you want the plugins placed inside the ProChannel FX Chain module to be saved along with the preset set as default?
  12. Well, you are completely right, but not for the reasons you might think. The audio needs to come out of the box and be converted into audio so you can hear it and work on it. Unless deaf mixing engineers exist.
  13. 3 - Yet another LA2A, LN1176, Fairchild 660/670, VariMu compressor emulator that claims to be the dog's balls. There's probably more emulations or those than particles in the known universe and they're all the same thing with a new face on. Flour from the same batch on different packaging and names. 4 - Sample Packs. You never use them, you don't even know what's in them. When you need them, you end up using the one that's close enough and easier to find, since you have no patience to comb trough thousands of slight different samples of the same kick, snare and so son. 5 - Subtractive Synthesizers. How many more Minimoog emulations do you need? Can you even tell them apart
  14. Bouncing multiple tracks to a created mono track sometimes gives you all the tracks mixed to a single mono track, sometimes gives you a number of tracks mixed into the single mono track selected and a new mono track that contains the rest. There's no way to turn this behavior off. Changing interleave or setting the destination track to stereo or mono doesn't change anything. Even if you set that bounce to stereo, it will do the same thing, except the tracks will be stereo. The only way to make the feature do what it's supposed to do is sending all the audio to a bus and bouncing that bus to a track. Then it respects what you have set on the settings. Aux tracks exhibit the same bug.
  15. I want to hide all of them, not just a few. And you can't do that. Hiding all of them at once hides the volume slider.
  16. Apparently, you didn't read the documentation either https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR X2&language=3&help=Mixing.16.html
  17. One thing that's annoying is that hiding the meter in Console view also hides the volume fader.
  18. The bulk of those files seems to be, as usual, AAX plugins. Somehow they always get installed, even if you untick their box in the installers.
  19. Last time I checked, the paid version of Waveform was the free version (they share the same codebase since version 10) with some Airwindows plugins and some of their plugins built in along with a few features. The upgrade is a bit steep just for a small subset of features.
  20. MAGIX and MOTU suffer from the same problems. Stagnation and lack of good marketing people. Goes along well with the weird supriority complex some Samplitude users seem to have simply because the plugins that come with their DAW are considerably better than what you get bundled with the competition's. NI hasn't innovated much for a while now. If things keep going their course, soon every single product they have will be a Kontakt library. While there are competitor samplers out there, they suffer from what I call the "YouTube Problem". Nobody uses them because the stuff that's on Kontakt is not there or they'll switch once everyone else does. People have been doing stuff to compete with Kontakt since it came out but never caught on because people don't want to change unless everyone does.
  21. I have no idea what you're talking about either. Most settings are saved with your screensets and authorization happens during installation. It's pretty painless.
