  1. Now you have my interest, because usually whenever the terms "hardware acceleration" are mentioned, it's usually yet another software jumping into the CUDA bandwagon because of supposed widespread support or because nVidia decided it wants to care about that particular piece of software because of rea$ons.
  2. Notice you cannot scale the interface down, only up. If you're not using a 1080p panel or larger, this interface will occupy roughly 70% of your screen.
  3. I've used both Spleeter and Demucs and Demucs delivers slightly better quality separation mostly because it has more training data rather than the specific algorithm used. You're still gonna lose all content above 11-17k because it still uses the MusDB dataset. As per responding to my post there, I doubt they will offer any explanation as to what they'll do. I know iZotope has no plans of supporting hardware acceleration for RX because I asked.
  4. Keep in mind that the standard cab setup for all IK cabs is not the same as the default one GR uses. Once you replicate them, they sound more or less the same. The funny thing also is that GR6 is actually smaller in size than GR5, as opposed to Amplitube, which went from 500 MB to almost 3 GB.
  5. "Where possible" in this case means they'll either not add any hardware acceleration or only support CUDA.
  6. Eh...Imagine when they actually sell for 199...And you can get u-he Satin for less than that.
  7. That means you'll receive only 4 emails instead of 5.
  8. Most of their time is spent developing anti-piracy measurements actually, as is the case with every other company which protects their IP using some copy protection scheme.
  9. To summarize: This update will remove the ability of people using Reason 6-11 (5 and below use a different activation scheme) to retain their offline authorization past hardware and OS changes. This doesn't affect people which had their registrations with the dongle. Now, people will be forced to use online authorization for 6-11 and will only receive a "new and improved" (i.e. a new anti-piracy measure) offline authorization if they upgrade to 12 or Reason+.
  10. Apart from the vinyl crackle, I'm confident you can recreate everything this plugin does using Snap Heap and the free modules which come with the Kilohearts free bundle. I'm not gonna do it because that would require me giving my email to Unison Audio to get the plugin.
  11. In other words: "People were able to crack our almost impenetrable Reason 12 and Reason+ anti-piracy measures by making use of exploits from version 11, so we'll waste your money and time developing a new one whilst removing your ability to use older versions of our software." I'll eagerly wait for Chapter 11.
  12. I wonder if Mike has any tips on how I tidy up my bedroom...
  13. Yeah. VMR is that magic product where the free version costs money, because it can only be activated using a physical iLok dongle.
  14. While the video is indeed embarrassing for those involved, I wonder if those people weren't intoxicated because some of them don't seem okay in a sense and this was filmed at an event. You can even see some of them holding bottles during their questions.
  15. Considering Cakewalk nowadays doesn't have the same amount of mind share and market usage it used to have when it was a paid product in the past, maybe a Linux version would be a nice differential which could potentially gather a different type of cust.... Eh...That will never happen.
  16. The small team reason works...Until you learn that REAPER is developed by 2/3 people most of the time.
  17. They don't work anywhere in the sense that the samples for each preset are made for that preset only and you can't tweak much of it in terms of oscillators and such because it's just playing a sample.
  18. Not really. Syntronik is just a sample player anyways, so there's no way you're gonna have presets which work everywhere.
  19. Why can't companies be like FabFilter and just deliver a quality product sans BS? They don't even have to put their plugins on sale because they just sell on their own.
  20. I've always seen Studio One as Cubase with a bit more polish. Not to say Cubase is a bad DAW (like ProTools), but they're victmins of the whole "backwards compatibility syndrome," which means your audio settings are spread across 5 different windows for example. A few other features of Studio One include: - Your audio I/O are exposed as mixer tracks, which allows you to use plugins as hardware effects and print them in your recording. - Chord Track: This one is a step up from Cubase's Chord Track (which only works with MIDI) in a considerable way. - MIDI setup and mapping is a breeze and doesn't require you to be one of the people which created MIDI or have a PhD in MIDI implementation. - Studio One Remote: This used to be available only to the Professional version, but has been made available to both paid versions since v6. No faffing about with random Android/iOS apps which will have some compromised implementation of DAW control. Setup for it is also a breeze. All you need to have is your control device and the PC running Studio One in the same network. - Musical Functions: This can be thought of as CAL on steroids. It even does things which I'm yet to see other DAWs do like custom selections which allow you to, say, select every other note from a specific MIDI event, for example. Even FL Studio can't do that, requiring you to do some weird selection hack.
  21. Next one will be "Guess the Beatles songs Bernard Purdie claims he replaced Ringo on."
  22. The Atari guys had 192 bytes and you're complaining about 1 KB... Kids these days...
  23. It will be hilarious id they flunked their subscription system and you actually got those plugins for free because they weren't expecting someone to attempt buying plugins whilst under subscription.
  24. It should comes with those presets according to IK as part of the 1.3 update. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/hammondb3x/?p=presets
