    Izotope R4

I saw it pointed out on GS that all mention of Exponential Audio's products has been removed from Izotope's Compatibility with Apple Silicon article. Not a great sign for their commitment to this software moving forward. It used to say "not planned" against each, now they don't appear at all. https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407777831699-iZotope-Compatibility-with-Apple-silicon https://web.archive.org/web/20211216114121/https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407777831699-iZotope-Compatibility-with-Apple-silicon Izotope say "Neoverb is powered by Exponential Audio’s famous reverb engines" and Neoverb is listed as planned for native support in 2022, so that's something at least. I'm on a PC myself, but who knows what the future holds?
  2. Saw this video and noticed how the GForce OB-E demo presets sound just like it. But the Cherry Audio Eight Voice sounds nothing like it. It's like DCO-106 vs Softube Model 84 all over again. Pretty tempted to get this Gforce OB-E right now.
  3. Maybe now they can focus on adding a scalable UI. Or at least include a magnifying glass in the boxed edition.
  4. SSL bringing out the big guns for Valentine's Day Using the coupon code FEB2022 will give an extra discount (eg X-ValveComp is $18.98 with code), and you earn DeluxeBucks on purchase too. https://www.audiodeluxe.com/brand/solid-state-logic?f[0]=bm_field_on_sale_now%3Atrue&solrsort=iss_commerce_price asc Solid State Logic SSL Native X-Saturator $19.99 Solid State Logic SSL Native X-ValveComp $19.99 Solid State Logic SSL Native X-Phase $24.99 Solid State Logic SSL Native X-Comp $29.99 Solid State Logic SSL Native X-EQ 2 $39.99 Solid State Logic SSL Native X-Echo $49.99
  5. Just wanted to highlight that this deal is still active, and unlike some other valentines day deals this is as low as AudioRealism has ever gone so it's as good a time to buy as any. Started feeling an old school techno / hardcore / happy hardcore vibe over the weekend after demoing ABL3 against the new Zhun Audio Zerobox and ended up buying the AudioRealism complete bundle 2 to get access to the sweet sweet hoovers in Redominator as well. But if you were only after a couple of these, after purchasing the first you receive crossgrade offers of about 42% off via a link in the license email that stack with the ACID2022 code to get the individual plugins at about 1/3rd of the normal price! ADM came with a crossgrade offer for ABL3 ABL Pro came with a crossgrade offer for ABL3 ABL3 came with a crossgrade offer for ADM and ReDominator
  6. Sounds like an interesting tool, and at that price I figure you can't go wrong, so I just bought my first HoRNet plugin
  7. I'm waiting for it to go $10 again. Might be a long wait haha.
  8. Mines $451.80 which is the cheapest I've seen, but still more than I really want to pay. I already own all the waves plugins I really want (Horizon, Abbey Road, and some solos I wanted from Mercury), with only a couple of exceptions like oVox and the new SSL channel strip, neither of which are in Mercury. I'll probably get it one day though, because WUP won't cost any more with all the extra plugins included, it's like making the best of a bad thing. But that's a terrible reason to pay more right now haha.
  9. So glad I invested in Helix Native when it was half price during black Friday. How amazing to get so many new devices for free. The reverbs did seem to be a weak link so I'm keen to try out the new devices.
  10. Ahh now I get it. For some reason I thought it was in reference to a shop the deal was still available at 🙂
  11. I feel like I should know this...what's BF?
  12. I found everyplugin to be the cheapest when I upgraded to Horizon, as well as when i bought the Abbey Road bundle. I also requested a quote thru Audio deluxe and I think one time they might have been cheaper than every plugin, but I didn't bite on that occasion. I waited for a good sale on upgrades. When it comes to WUP if you can wait they discount it by 25% from time to time.
  13. Anyone know if IK has fixed the CPU usage issue with Amplitude 5 yet? I'm still running the older version before the CPU issue began, and that doesn't have these X Pedals.
  14. I was the same - it's because they want you to create an account and use their silly installer just to run a demo. I checked out XO during the Black Friday sale but didn't bite.
  15. Mine charges the fee but then refunds it immediately after. Not sure why. I just have to remember to deselect the convert currency option in PayPal. Every once in a while I forget and get stung. At least my credit card details are safe when I use PayPal though.
  16. I prefer VST2 for the simple reason that Ableton Live has an absolutely rubbish means of organising plugins, you can't reorganise VST3 at all. VST2 you can at least organise into a custom folder tree, which I do. I tend to forget about the VST3 only plugins I own, because I hardly ever look outside of my VST2 folders. It's unfortunate. I wish they'd allow a unified organisation of plugins somehow, like other DAWs seem to manage to.

  18. Future Bass Essentials could come in handy some day. Boom tish.
  19. Me too. Also I just saw it was $33 last October! https://rekkerd.org/softube-marshall-kerry-king-signature-amplifier-plugin-sale/
  20. Omg I can't believe I forgot the link! Thanks Larry 😊
  21. System requirements All Softube products require a computer with appropriate DAW host software (none of which are included). Versions from 2.5.18 and newer of the Softube plug-ins have the following minimum requirements: All native versions Mac OS X 10.13 up to 11.6.1 - MacOS 12 Monterey support pending Windows 10 64-bit - Windows 11 support pending Mac: Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon - M1 support pending Windows: Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon / AMD Quad-Core or newer Screen resolution larger than 1280x800 8 GB RAM or more is recommended, as well as at least 8 GB hard disk space for installation (individual plug-ins take less space, while sample libraries may require additional disk space). Softube account iLok account Internet access for downloading installers and managing licenses iLok generation 2 and up, if you intend to use an iLok key for authorizing your plug-ins (note that a physical iLok USB key is not a requirement) In theory, any 64-bit VST, VST3, AU, or AAX (Pro Tools 11.0.2 or higher) compatible host application should work. However, due to plug-in host differences between DAWs - and our own rigorous testing standards - we only officially test our plug-ins and instruments in the most recent versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper, and Cakewalk. Softube plugins are not tested in non-listed systems, but they most likely work as long as the system requirements are met. We cannot guarantee a solution for issues in unsupported systems. Note: We have checked the basic functionality of our plug-ins, and Softube Central, in macOS Monterey running under Apple Rosetta 2, and initial tests do look promising. Silicon M1 native support is pending. Note: We have run initial tests of Softube Central and our plug-ins within Windows 11 with positive early results. Further testing and announcements will follow. With regards to the different VST formats, we strongly recommend using VST3 as some of our plug-ins have features that are not present in the older VST format. Supported sample rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, and 192 kHz, in both mono and stereo. The most recent maintenance release of your DAW application is recommended. AAX DSP is not currently in active development. TDM/VENUE is no longer supported (old downloads are available on the Legacy Installers page) Find the Softube installer you need both Softube Central and individual plug-ins. AAX DSP version For AAX DSP you need to meet the above requirements for the Native versions. You also need to have an Avid HDX processing card. For plug-ins available for AAX DSP, see Which Softube plug-ins support AAX DSP?
  22. 48 hours only: release The Beast Harness Kerry King's signature sound. For super-high gain and punchy articulation in one rig, there's only The Beast. And right now, this animal of an amp is just $39. Check it out. Get 60% off Kerry King Signature Use this checkout code in the next 48 hours to get Kerry King Signature at an exclusive price of $39 (reg. $99): KERRYKING60 A faithful emulation of the Kerry King Signature amplifier, Marshall 2203KK a.k.a. “The Beast” Two studio setups and one live stage setup recorded respectively by producer Terry Date and FoH engineer Chris Paccou Over 25 finely tuned Kerry King-inspired presets that define the sound of Kerry King Amp Room Ready: works as a native plug-in and as a module in Amp Room, our pro audio guitar platform. Thrash metal is visceral, energetic, aggressive. Getting the right depth and texture of sound, the right bite in the attack, the right snarl on the tail, is essential. You need an amp like a wild animal, like a fighter, like a beast. Kerry King has spent four decades at the vanguard of the scene, blazing trails and busting guts with his edgy in-your-face sound, so naturally his signature amp – the custom Marshall 2203KK, a.k.a. “The Beast” – is the only place to start if you’re after super high gain and punchy articulation in a single rig. Beast Mode "Beast Mode" engages Kerry's own signature EQ-boost-and-gate combo for an extra million percent of awesome. Expert engineers We brought in Kerry's own engineers, Terry Date for studio setups, and Chris Paccou for live, to give the most authentic, mix-ready version of Kerry's sound possible. Component-modeled for perfection Close enough is not good enough for Kerry, for Marshall, or for Softube. So we go component-by-component to build the most detailed software models possible. More than an amp Signature amps are nothing new – this plug-in is a model of the custom hardware Kerry King signature amp from Marshall, closely recreating Kerry's very own unit with all its quirks and special sauce. What's extra-special about this plug-in is the detail beyond the amp itself – down to the cab, the microphones, the engineers, the spaces, we've built a complete mix-ready workflow. The amp’s four KT88 power stage tubes have been expertly modeled, along with every other individual component of this premium unit, to give the most accurate software emulation imaginable. But that’s only the beginning of the signature experience. Top experts in thrash tone We recorded impulse responses from Kerry’s own Marshall Mode Four 4x12” cabinets (featuring Celestion G12K-100 12” speakers) at the famous Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles with multiple professional mic selections and placements designed by iconic producer/engineer Terry Date, famous for his work with Deftones, Pantera, Dream Theater, and Overkill. So down to the cab, the room, the microphones, you’re getting all the top-quality studio sound of a mix-ready thrash setup. On top of that, we visited with Kerry at a stadium show in Stockholm in 2018 to capture his on-stage live setup too, overseen by FoH engineer Chris Paccou. There’s huge variety in this plug-in, and yet at every setting it sounds phenomenal; curated by the world’s leading engineers in these tones. The Kerry King Cabs panel In addition to the amp itself, the plug-in provides a complete setup and workflow for getting mix-ready sounds. Both studio and live setups are represented in the side panel with cabs and microphones recorded in real world situations for the greatest depth and authenticity of sound. You can take the recommendations of Terry Date, engineer for some of the greatest bands in the history of heavy music, or tweak and combine them in the 'custom' section, with a channel for each specific microphone placement offering pan, volume, and phase. Explore every fantastic facet of this amp's sound. The real thing Making great music requires a mix of hard work and inspiration. We've done a ton of hard work on this plug-in so you can get inspired by using the very same gear as a verifiable colossus of the thrash metal scene. So whether you’re engaging “Beast Mode” and smashing a stadium with Kerry’s own signature EQ-boost-and-gate combo, or laying down gutsy layers in the studio, you can rely on the Softube Marshall Kerry King Signature amp to get you sounding bigger, better, and beastlier than any mere human should. Perfect for Amp Room Kerry King Signature comes with modules that are fully integrated into the Amp Room ecosystem and sound exactly the same as the native version of the plug-in. If you already own Amp Room, you definitely need this amp. Amp Room is the pro audio guitar and bass platform, designed with sound quality as top priority. It’s just like having a real amplifier with a miked up speaker cabinet in a high-end studio – with the added convenience of more options to patch in any kind of studio tool you need anywhere in the chain. Here's Ola Englund trying it out:
  23. I set my fan to run at full speed all the time in bios because noises like fans speeding up and down constantly drive me bonkers.
