  2. Yes, the link I provided has several free drum synths. They are all sample based and include some samples with the plug-ins and can load other samples as well.
  3. Spend some time playing with the free drum samplers in the thread linked above They may even include some usable sounds. Of course, there are commercial options but the freebies are a great way to learn.
  4. The included plug-ins are listed in the current documentation (which is on the old site)
  5. Session Drummer is not included in CbB The Studio Instruments suite is included with CbB and SI-Drums is part of it. There are several free drum samplers available on the web are mentioned in this thread
  6. The appear to be audio loops. Once unzipped, the media browser may be used to preview the samples, drag into the matrix view or directly into a project. Or play them in a sampler.
  7. Make sure to install the 64bit version of EZDrummer 2 CbB is a significant upgrade to MC
  8. If you participated in the Cakewalk account migration in late 2014 through Oct. 2017 support@cakewalk.com can restore access to the account. If you did not create an account at that time and did not write down the registration code provided when MC5 was first registered, activating MC5 is going to be a problem. Cakewalk by BandLab (CbB) can read MC files but it may not load all the plug-ins. Note: CbB is not the same as the DAW called BandLab. MC5 was a 32bit DAW and if there are any 32bit DX plug-ins referenced in the projects that do not have 64bit versions included with CbB, the 32bit DX plug-ins will not load.
  9. It is a Cakewalk-branded Edirol FA-66 interface. The Roland drivers are here

  12. Channel Tools was added starting with CbB 2020.08 http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.19.html
  13. The full personalization happens when the program is first run. It creates the files in user directory "%appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core" Once allowed to run, the message should not appear again unless re-run by hold down the CTRL key while starting the program.
  14. BA may be too old. The current version is 6.3.0 Try using the current version from https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk
  15. This behavior is controlled by the Time Base setting in the clip inspector
  16. dumps compress a lot with zip Upload the zipped dump to a file hosting service and PM the link
  17. Session Drummer is a Cakewalk product. BandLab has not released a version of this plug-in. In order to handle feature requests for this plug-in, it would have to be released by BandLab first.
  18. I start by creating the lowest level folders with the plug-in browser "Soft by Category" layout then open the layout in the plug-in manager and nest them as needed. It would be nice if the plug-in browser supported nesting in the default "sort by" layouts but this method works for me.
  19. the old forum is still searchable using Google here is a similar thread on this forum
  20. In order to change ASIO drivers the current input and output devices must be deselected before making a new selection. ASIO mode works with one i/O driver at a time. May want to uninstall ASIO4All and use the Presonus driver exclusively.
  21. In the bottom right of the toast message is a link to the help page providing information about drop out codes and what to do to resolve them.
  22. I messed up the links to the help pages. They are fixed now.
