  1. I picked up The Grandeur which I am really enjoying. Lots of really good stuff out there but trying to sort through everything I already have before buying anything else; it can just get a little overwhelming at times ๐Ÿ˜ณ I am finally getting my new computer parts coming so excited about that and finally working through BBC SO.
  2. Using Ozone 8 Advanced and Neutron 3. The Mastering and Mix assistants are great to get some useful starting points. I have been using Ozone since the first version and it is an invaluable tool for me.
  3. I have been using TrackSpacer and their Mercury Fazioli Piano Library (which is a fantastic piano) for a while and they have performed wonderfully. TrackSpacer is a great tool for me to help vocals sit in a track .
  4. Thought I would share this here as well. It is a fun walkthrough and jam session at the end. Enjoy!
  5. I wanted to share this with those using Focusrite interfaces. I have been using one of the Scarlett 4i4 3rd gen for a little while with mixed results and last week was notified of a public beta driver available. When I installed the beta driver it was like I had a new interface all together. I was able to get the latency down to amazingly low levels and the performance seemed to improve greatly. I would encourage you to try the driver to see if it improves performance for you as well. Remember as this is a BETA driver use cautiously and make sure you are not in the middle of a critical project, etc. (you know the drill). Here is the link below: http://beta.focusrite.com/releases/focusrite_usb2_drivers/
  6. Absolutely, especially the built in audio capabilities where you could have the iRIG Keys I|O and your laptop, PC, MAC, iPAD or iPhone and be able to pretty much make some music right away. One of the things that really impressed me was how powerful it was using a smaller iPad Pro running SampleTank, the iPad version of Ravenscroft 250 and the AudioBus app that allows you to sort of mess with audio routing and such; pretty incredible. Also using it on my Windows system with Cakewalk worked as well. The only thing is you have to use something like ASIO4ALL (which I have mixed emotions about) but it was doable which once again impressed me.
  7. That was what I was missing ๐Ÿคฃ I could not figure out why things did not play and never thought that the synth was disconnected; I will have to go back and check that again. Last night I did the update and optimization and actually things seem to be a little better. Now that I see what my initial misunderstanding was I can better explore the template. @Matthew Sorrels, thanks again for your tremendous contribution here and elsewhere in the forum. It is thoughtfulness such as yours that make this community so special. The BBCSO adventure continues!
  8. Aww man! I tried scrolling down before posting but did not see it. Sorry for the double post, I will do a better job searching next time. Just excited to see these go on sale ๐Ÿค“
  9. Some really great deals on Heavyocityโ€™s libraries. Bonus; purchase 3 and get an additional 10% off your order (excludes VENTO). Ends December 9th. More info here: https://heavyocity.com/our-thanksgiving-sale-starts-today-get-up-to-50-off-storewide-2/
  10. I have been using the iRig Keys 49 for a few months and just now published a quick review. It is a great keyboard and the 49 keys just puts it right in a sweet spot for me. Also the built in audio interface is a great plus for portability. Right now (until November 30th) IK Multimedia is including SampleTank 4 MAX with the purchase of the iRig Keys I|O 25 or 49 which is a fantastic deal if you do not already own SampleTank 4. I hope you enjoy watching?
  11. Thanks Matthew, they also sent me the version you used but honestly I have not done anything with it yet as I have the Spitfire SSD and was very wary of doing anything to mess with the drive contents and then having the possibility of downloading everything again (unless they wanted to send me another SSD ๐Ÿ˜Ž). one of the loading issues in a theory might have to do with their custom audio or file compression (or encryption) methods but only they know what is actually going on behind the scenes. In reality, my situation other than BBC SO is requiring me to look very, wry seriously at building a new system. I have been having waaay too many random crashes and frustration to tolerate things much longer so I am hoping things will get better eventually with a new build. The other side of things is the idea of loading everything; I just canโ€™t see from my current way of working if that would ever happen in any project I might be working on (now watch someone come along wanting me to do exactly that). I do think it sounds amazing and honestly it would not have been something I would have invested in myself were it not for my dear friend who gifted it to me (which was amazing). I am hopeful going forward that all of the disjointed parts of this puzzle can eventually come together and music will once more flow unimpeded once again. I so appreciate you keeping me in the loop and please continue as will I if new miracle sightings appear! All the very best!
  12. Well the B-3X set the bar pretty high for me compared to the others I have looked at in the past. I downloaded a trial of the Arturia V-3 V2 and it was alright. I might try to do some sort of A/B comparisons down the road to provide some more context but the B-3X in my opinion will be hard to beat.
  13. I just downloaded the latest Collection v7 and as my first experience with Arturia I can say it is overwhelmingly exciting. I just started off with the Pianos and - wow! Seeing all of the other virtual synths in there (Fairlight, DX7, Synclavier) I am going to be exploring for quite some time! Really looking forward to working with these!
  14. Vegas is a great video editor and I also got in on the Humble Bumble deal as Inhad been using Vegas for many years. It has been so frustrating for me as it seems to crash constantly. I was so frustrated trying to edit and render my last video (the B-3x review) as it would constantly crash when trying to render and at other times just random things. I have actually been trying to learn Davinci Resolve to see how that goes.
  15. Well this one took a while but here it is. I have really enjoyed working with the Hammond B-3X so much so I had a hard time actually making the video ๐Ÿ˜€ I hope you enjoy watching?
  16. I just installed this last night and it is crazy what they have done to these woodwinds. Heavyocity gives you so many ways to mess with these in creative and sound design options it can get a little overwhelming at times, but hey it's fun to discover something new and sparks new ideas.
  17. I sent a couple of videos and a project to Spitfire yesterday. Sandy my contact there mentioned he merged it with another support incident which in all possibility could be yours. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Hereโ€™s hoping that they can see the source of the issue and correct it. @Matthew Sorrels, what is the gist of your Cubase Template you sent to test this? I would love to see what a similar Cakewalk template would look like and if there was a similar memory issue there? i will be sure to post any updates or findings here.
  18. OK! just looked at the specs and it seems to work the same as the Focusrite 3rd gen 4i4 I have been testing for the past few weeks (and has really been performing very well here). I am even more intrigued to try this, especially the 4 channel version.
  19. Now all I need is to get going with my new system build so I can actually have a USB C port. ๐Ÿค“ These interfaces look very good and with their MOTU pedigree they should be amazing.
  20. CONFIRMED! Just watching the memory usage grow is amazing, even when it is not playing back it is consuming memory.
  21. @Matthew Sorrels, Just installed the BBC SO update bringing it to 1.04. It looks like some memory management issues have been improved. I would love to see what your results are when/if you install the update.
  22. Can't wait to see your template. I just loaded my very simple test project and was actually able to play some things while it was loading ๐Ÿ˜ฎ @Matthew Sorrels, thanks so much for your feedback; it is always good to have comrades right there with you in the trenches.
  23. Yes, definitely strange. I do hope they will take the Windows platform users seriously. BTW: I found the forum you mentioned VI Control. Looks like another rabbit hole to explore but also lots of useful information from some wonderful users, some which I recognize from home base ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. Very nice!!! I have Cubase 10 on my system as well and thought I would see what would happen under similar instrument load circumstances and seeing the same basic principle here; very crushing memory loading. I sent a ticket in to Spitfire offering to help with testing Windows performance so we shall see when some more of the dust settles from the initial week after release. I had another thought about removing some of the actual RAM out of my system just to see what would happen; I suspect nothing good. The journey continues!
