  1. Latest for Karnataka's main man Ian Jones. Features the "Gathering Light" era vocalist Lisa Fury among others. https://chasingthemonsoon.com/?v=79cba1185463 I bought the WAV and MP3 versions. Looks like he is doing everything "in house" and there were a couple of download glitches which Ian sorted out quickly.
  2. I saw this band recently and very good they were too.
  3. Tried changing things in Bandlab, but it's still not cooperating. Ah well!
  4. Yeah, its me Glyn, I keep changing my display name and it keeps changing back. I need to go into my Bandlab account to see if i can change it there or something.
  5. I was at the Robin 2, Bilston near Wolverhampton for The Reasoning Last Hurrah. This explains it https://www.thereasoning.co.uk/ The reasoning were one of a lose grouping of South Wales based prog bands that include Karnataka, Magenta and Panic Room. It was a great day with This Winter Machine kicking off, they were excellent. Next band Circu5 had been on my bucket list for a while and they did not disappoint. I got to have a pint with leader, guitarist, singer Steve Tilling at the after-show. Jump is a band I had not encountered before, they have been around a long time and have made 13 albums to date so now I have a back catalogue to to catch up on, Fronted by angry Welshman John Dexter they spat their venom in all the right directions. Leader and bass Matt Cohen did a great job of assembling a band of former and new members. Young Californian Emilee Moyce did a great job on the female vocals, previous sung by Matt's ex-wife Rachel. Apparently this was her first time on stage but she preformed with great confidence. The male singer, known only to me as Andrew was also top notch. Original drummer Jake Bradford-Sharp is one of the best drummers on the British prog scene at the moment. Lead Guitarist Keith Hawkins another original member who replaced Owain Roberts who sadly went missing in 2012 was most impressive. ex Panic Room guitarist Paul Davies was on 2nd guitar, and later another ex Panic Room guitarist Dave Foster joined them on stage. For the finale Anne Marie Helder joined them. as a massive Panic Room fan it was something special to see her on stage with Dave and Paul. It was an emotionally charged performance and a fitting "Last Hurrah" from a really great band. I look forward to hearing Matt's latest project Omega Point.
  6. I have tried, several times to change my display name but it always seems to revert to my "legal" name rather than the name I had been known by on this and the previous fourm. What's up?
  7. I have Ozone elements7, so its a free upgrade!
  8. I cant find it on the AAS website, I was looking to see if there was a upgrade deal.
  9. I have a couple of mountain dulicimers (and a couple of electric ones) and I think Emberton have nailed it with this library.
  10. I have a song nearing completion that needs a female lead vocal. I have been looking out for a suitable voice at local open mic nights etc. without too much success an I am thinking paying a session singer may be the best option. Googeling pulls up a number of sites offering the services of singers online that will record the vocal for you. Prices vary a lot depending on the profile, experience etc. of the singer. I was wondering is anyone here had experience using one of these services. Locating a singer is a bit of a trawl through various "showreels" looking for one that sounds right. Some sites have "sounds like" tags which helps a bit but but unfortunatly for me you don't get sounds like Anne-Marie Helder, Hayley Griffiths, Christina Booth or Annie Haslem.
  11. Kontakt instruments for the full version of Kontakt.
  12. These are decent freebies and worth the bandwidth and disk space (IMHO)
  13. I have SSD4 platinum but never use it, I dislike the interface and workflow. I am going to try the demo and see if this is any better, I can upgrade for $49 if there is a significant improvement I may do that as there are some decent sounds.
  14. But use 20190814 instead and the names can then be sorted so the most recent is on top
  15. I have been staying away from this thread but the deal is getting really tempting now.So sorry if this has been asked before but I have a quick question regarding jam points. If you use jam points is the value of the qualifying purchase the list price or the list price minus the jam points for qualifying for the group buy bonus products. For example if I bought the Amplitube Leslie for 129 Euros less max jam points could I sill add other products up to 129 Euros?
  16. I will take that as a compliment!
  17. I have them through Compose Cloud and they are all pretty good, probably the best of this type of library, and Voices of the Opera actually made it to one of my finished tracks,
  18. I got this a while ago. Its quite a good freebee and well worth the bandwidth. And as its Kontakt Player you get a NI serial number. No guarantees but tis may put you in the frame for a crossgrade to full Kontakt at some point.
  19. The one I have is EW composer Cloud and I think I get good value as they keep adding quality new content and I find a lot of useful stuff in libraries I would not have bought outright. I bought an air bundle for very little and don't see what they currently offer and their record of new releases would make the sub worth while.
  20. Great value for the bundle! I like these two. L'otary probably does not do the dirty side as well a Melda's Vintage rotary (my favourite) but it's very versatile. The scanner is useful as a different type of chorus device. Most Hammond VSTi / Libraries have these built in but its nice to have one with a different character and of course you can use them on all sorts of sounds, the scanner sounds very good on clean guitar parts.
  21. I tend to end up using the basic vowel as pads most of the time, so they are a bit of a sledge hammer to crack a nut for me. I am always tempted when this type of library is on sale for some reason even though I don't really get the value out of the ones I have. I will be passing this time.
  22. That's what I would like to know!
