  1. I think I will wait for the English version this time.
  2. I think tutorials always use 3rd party plugins because they are universal to all DAWs. So I'm not sure that is a good recommendation to get or not to get plugins. This is not to say that a lot of 3rd party plugins aren't better, just that the current DAW's (mostly) have pretty good plugins that can get you started without spending a lot of extra money. For the Air plugins, if you use even one on a regular basis, the $20 is a good deal. I wouldn't pay full price for the Air stuff though. It is on the lines of the old Waves plugins. Solid, does what they say they will do. Nothing fancy for the most part.
  3. I use the instruments more than the effects. But for $20, they are good effects. They have been around for a while and your current DAW probably has some that are just as good. ProTools has a mix of Air and Avid effects. I tend to use mostly Avid, but the Air Delay gets used as well as the reverb.
  4. Huh? IK has constant sales. This is just a newer product for them. And? I've gotten the group discount many times on IK products at JRRShop
  5. Kind of what I thought. Thanks 😉
  6. Is there a reason to get HALion if you have Kontakt, Omnisphere, and Falcon? I don't really use it when I use Cubase, so I have no idea if there is anything special about it.
  7. I just bought the Max deal - well a few months ago. I'm not sure I've actually loaded all of it yet. Not sure there is anything I need in instruments.
  8. I've actually had good luck with Iron. The secret is to change the strum every or every other bar. But use the keys that are next to each other so the change is minimal and it sounds closer to how a real guitarist would play. Throw a few mutes in and it's good. Then I use Amplitude or Guitar Rig to add effects, hide it in a mix and it is good to go. On it's own? Maybe not perfect. But most of the time the rhythm guitar is not overly exposed. So it works fast and easy for me.
  9. I guess it's a good thing I'm going to have to wait a couple weeks for it. 😉
  10. You can't use the link provided as that is for subscriptions. But in your account, there is a spot to add renewal from distributors. That is where I added it.
  11. Yes. It added to my perpetual license. I'm now good until 9/2024. Gives me time to decide what to do.
  12. So did I. If it is perpetual because they have some old ones, I will grab one if I can. I am currently good until 2022. Not sure what I will do after that.
  13. I'm in the same boat. I was about to email them. I will wait a week to see what happens. I'm not in a hurry. Is there any need to keep SL6 if you get SL7? My C drive is starting to get full......
  14. Mine as well. Not a big deal. They didn't actually take any money out.
  15. I'd question this one. ProTools 12 has been gone for a couple years. They are going by year now - the current is PT 2020. And last I checked, the update price for the perpetual is $199.
  16. I'm not too worried, in that I always use Paypal and I use an email address that I don't regularly use anymore. But I think I will change my password once this is cleared up. Eric has always been really great with the customer service and has been very active over at KVR. I tend to believe they probably had an issue with their system. Most of these guys set up an easy storefront with one of those companies that advertise everywhere and are fine while they stay small. But it won't support a larger business. And in the last few years, I think they have grown more than their storefront can handle. As an accountant, you see it happen a lot. Small businesses start doing better, get popular, and start to grow. But there's this point in between being small and being large where a lot of businesses fail. The cost to go large is more than they can afford (hiring more people, spending more on a solid website, etc...), but if they don't, they can't support the growth. Add a pandemic in that is making you question how much you should invest, especially if your brick and mortar store is shut down, and problems ensue. And maybe it is time to get a password manager program. And more email addresses.... Though I worry my password manager will go out of business or get hacked. And I will be stuck. I do use 2FA on a lot of things now, especially bank and credit cards.
  17. So can you mix pianos in the Pro? It's just kind of pricey for how much I forget I own it.
  18. Anyone try this? I usually just buy cheap pianos without thinking about it, but this has no ProTools. With all these new tools like Scaler working in ProTools, I find myself using it much more.
  19. I love their Pripyat pianos. Really interesting sounds.
  20. I've got a question. Has WA Production ever sold anything at "full price"? They always seem to be on sale for less than $20. 🤔
  21. OMG! Call the Geneva Convention! This is definitely torture!!! No internet just is not allowed. Glad everything is okay with you and you are back safely.
