None of mine are transferrable. All 3 have serial numbers / different licenses. My guess (purely a guess): If you have one (Comprexxor with a SN / License), maybe you bought it as a single? That might explain why yours can be transferred (if someone offers you more than the $20 transfer fee).

Another mystery. Maybe there's an unstated algorithm that determines who gets a new license and who doesn't. Purely a guess, but maybe the algorithm says "NO" promos but "YES" to purchases (either a single or a bundle). Another possibility (again, purely a guess), but maybe since my original T-Racks 5 Bundle didn't include Comprexxor, that trigger a "YES" for a new license. Comprexxor came out after I got my first T-Racks 5 Bundle and therefor wasn't included, nor was it comped after the fact. So, it was an "I don't have this one" selection for a GB. Anyone else's guess is as good as mine, but at least here's some data for purposes of comparison. I also took the survey. I did not get a new "copy," but I now have yet another license. Like others reported, it was in User Area > My Products. However, so far as I can see, having duplicate licenses for T-RackS 5 "gear" does not increase the number of T-RackS 5 authorizations I have. I had 8 left and with the new license, I still have 8 left. I am still trying to learn the complexities of IK's marketing and their ecosystem, but from what I can see if I have 1 license for each of 20 T-RackS 5 pieces of "gear" and I get a second license for each of those 20 pieces of "gear," I am still limited to the same number of computers I can use them on. I don't see how I can use them on twice as many computers (if I had them). If I am right, then we do not get extra "copies" in the sense that we can use a new copy independently of what we had before we got a new license. I admit, this is one of several things I still don't understand about IK. So, if someone can explain how having duplicates and triplicates of "gear" licenses (such as the T-RackS 5 "gear") gives me something additional, I'm "all ears." Even multiple T-RackS 5 MAX product license purchases do not seem to add additional authorizations if I understand what the Product Manager is showing me. All of them are listed as a solitary T-RackS 5 set of authorizations. Again, I don't pretend to understand all the ins and outs here. So, if someone can explain it, I'm happy to listen.

@Grem Glad to hear that you found the 2022 cymbals. I listened to a bunch of them and I prefer some of the new ones to what they have as the default cymbals. Its nice that we have all the customization options. BTW, I agree with your conclusions.

It means they should comp you on an upgrade to TOTAL STUDIO MAX 3.5 so you get them all for another 180 days. 😜 Seriously though, I have one MODO DRUM that expired and one that didn't (73 days left, I think) in addition to the MODO DRUM SE 1.5 from May. Thanks for the snapshots, I will try to compare with what I have. Also, based on the posts from people who heard from support saying they are aware of the issue, I think it would be good to give IK support a summary of your symptoms so when they have a solution your will be on the list to get it from them. I don't think this is intentional. Based on a preliminary look at your screenshots, I'm guessing its an issue on their end. I am wondering if there's a way to tell if you have the updated kits. Perhaps the presence of (or absence of ) the 2022 cymbals that Jerry mentioned can be used to tell if the kits really need to be updated. Just a guess, but I will look at what 2022 cymbals I have just in case it helps sort this out.

Some questions that MIGHT help: Does the Product Manager say you need to update your MODO DRUM 1 kits? Does it say you need to update your MODO DRUM 1 software release [what some call software engine]? Does it say you need to update both? What release doe your MODO DRUM 1 have? If you have software version 1.5 for MODO DRUM 1 and Product Manager says to update the kits but you can't, contact IK Support.

Thanks for mentioning these. I hadn't looked at the customization options since I first got MODO DRUM. Its nice to have these.

Also, for the sake of clarity, SE has 5 kits. Two of them are ones that owners of MODO DRUM 1 have, three of them are new. With all the confusion already here, I could see someone misunderstanding and thinking that SE had 3 kits. The IK Website makes it unmistakable: At present SE has 5 kits. As far as kits listed under "Sounds," here's what I have in my User Area under Sounds for MODO DRUM SE 1.5: (1) Brit Custom, (2) Common Elements, (3) Jazzy, (4) Metal, (5) Silver. Under "Sounds" in the Product Manager I have 12 Kits. Why 12 and not 13? you might ask. Just an educated guess: the Studio kit is in all versions of MODO DRUM 1.5 (including CS), so it might be built in or automatically included in the base software and therefore not downloadable/installable as a separate kit via the Product Manager.

Amen! Clarification: I am glad that things like politics are kept out of the forum. I am aware that I share political and social views with some forum members and I disagree with the political and social views of others. Yet, I appreciate and can respect their comments on music and related matters regardless of political preferences.

What do you have at the bottom of the Preferences Dialog Box? Do you have the OK, Cancel, Apply, and Help buttons (as shown in another thread)? If you have the right Preferences Box but the bottom part is cut off, you might have a screen size / scaling issue. I seem to recall that was an issue with someone who also had a dialog box cut off at the bottom.

I also tested this and was pleased to see the order of the named tracks are retained when moved into a folder. Glad it could be fixed.

Now I'm confused. I thought it was clear from reports of consumer experiences that (1) people who have MODO DRUM 1.0 and who who buy MODO DRUM 1.5 SE get the 3 new drum kits unlocked (so long as they upgraded their MODO DRUM software to version 1.5) and that (2) MODO DRUM 1.0 (with software version 1.5) + MODO DRUM 1.5 SE = MODO DRUM 1.5 with 13 kits. Personally, I think all of the consumer experiences that collectively address this conclusion ^^^^ have been confirmed. Does it really matter which one?

That's what I thought. Thanks for reconfirming that. I understand the APD issue and how that adds to the confusion. I would be very surprised if APD's codes unlock 13 kit versions of MODO DRUM for consumers that don't have the 10-kit version , but you never know. And I agree, if that's what consumers are getting, its a good deal!!!

Do you have MODO DRUM 1.5 or do you have MODO DRUM 1.0 with the software upgraded to 1.5?

When I saw the original post, I also wondered what the source of "any sound" was (the "it)--the electronic drum kit or a soft synth. But when I saw the comment about "everything seems mapped properly in Cakewalk and Addictive Drums," I decided that he was just using the drum kit as a controller, not as a sound source. But you might be right and he is trying to record the sound from the Alesis.

2022-07-28 UPDATE: Based on the following I revisited my contribution to this issue by duplicating my first test ("STEPS I USED" - cut-and-pasted below). When I did this using 2022.06 Build 034, when a group of assorted tracks were moved into a new folder, instead of reverting to the "creation order," the successfully retained the same order they were in when moved as a group. Since I was just exploring @John Bradley's concern, I will defer to his confirmation as to whether or not his issue has been solved. There seems to be some retention of the order of creation in my test. STEPS I USED: Create 5 tracks one at a time. They each get a default name that shows the order the tracks were created in. Reorder the tracks. I did not resave the new project (not sure that would make a difference). Rename the tracks to show the new order (using ordinal numbers!). Select all 5 tracks in a random order. Right click on first one. Select Move to Folder > New Track Folder.

I didn't know about the movement, but after my post I went to Epic, saw the FX Pinball there, signed up for an account, got the free starter version, and installed it. I get a popup saying my PC doesn't support DX12. But, dxdiag says I have DX12. Not a big enough issue for me to join a movement! I know I had the MS-DOS versions running on an older PC within the past 5-10 years.

There was a similar discussion for the Memorial Day Sale I will try to find the thread, but the bottom line at the time was that this updates 1.0 to 1.5. I did this and was able to use $12 in jam points. But, if you are inclined to upgrade to TS MAX 4 when it eventually comes out, you might want to use the $40 for that.
