  1. In my experience, background colors always affect the clarity, visibility, eye strain, etc. for foreground colors. There are even website design sites that discuss these things. I haven't looked at them in a while, so unfortunately I don't have any links handy. So it might not be your eyes. PS: I used to have a tool that would let you pick up a color (like with an eye dropper) and show you the breakdown of the component colors. You could try to find one of those utilities to check it for yourself. PPS: < from the button. < painted in rectangles using MS Paint. The green overlay of the track actually changes the color of the button. Hope this helps.
  2. The way I read it, you can get 3-days of using all that's included with the Backstage Pass, after which there is a monthly charge (unless you pay for a year's worth of the Backstage Pass).
  3. I guess I can erase my text-based instructions on how to find the "purchase it here" button now that there's a video.
  4. It is not very difficult to follow the links. It sounds like you already went most of the way if you found the same membership information I found: (1) Start at cakewalk.com. (2) Click on the big Cakewalk Sonar Button (Hotspot Image). That takes you to cakewalk.com/sonar, (3) Scroll to the bottom and click on "What is Backstage Pass" (it's in the FAQ section) where you will see: Don't have BandLab Membership but want to check it out? If you have a BandLab account, you can purchase it here, or learn more in the BandLab Membership FAQ. based on my experience, if you are logged in, the purchase it here link takes you to your own Bandlab Page with a large "Power your creator journey with Membership" that has some details, prices, and a way to sign up. In this overlay, I clicked on the Backstage Pass button (which you might have found) and it took me to: bandlab blog page that has details, phone images, etc. in a Bandlab web-page. (4) I think maybe you are looking for the purchase it here link with the power your creator journey dialog. Sorry, I can't post a direct link since it is linked to my account. Not sure if there is a direct link to the purchase it here link for people without accounts (other than the Get Membership button on the bandlab blog page. (See UPDATE.) UPDATE: I logged out and discovered that the purchase it here link goes directly the standard login dialog. So I assume that that the Backstage Pass offer requires an account before you can get to the purchase it / get membership access point. Maybe once the new products are released there will be marketing directed to people that don't already use Cakewalk products and therefore have an account.
  5. My experience: Sometimes they get it right the first time; sometimes they need to get info from others; sometimes there are no answers. I am sure that in 2023 they changed graphics libraries or services or something for Pigments so that the mini-displays no longer work on my PC with the hardware, chips, drivers, graphics card/software I have, but I gave up trying to get them to tell me what they changed and what the new minimum required specs are. So for a while, I used and older version of Pigments to tweak and design presets, but allowed Analog Lab to update (or vice versa). But that was with Pigments 4 and to get the new features in Pigments 5 (and the new Sound Packs), I had to update both Pigments and Analog Lab. I suspect issues related to logging in, sync, activation, reinstallation, the routine use of ASC, has been asked so many times, they know the drill and can send out the right set of instruction, answer questions about those issue, etc. As far as the kinds of things I needed to know, they tried to help and even elevated the issue to provide details about graphics cards settings / services. But I was unable to find out what was changed from the version that worked to the version that first stopped working or any ideas on what I needed to look to get a new graphics card. As I said, in my experience, sometimes they get it right the first time . . . . I hope your current issue is in that category!!!
  6. Are you asking about the successful sign in, but machine registration failure? Maybe a year ago, I had an issue where starting a synth didn't automatically launch the ASC/Verification process. Not sure what happened, but I e-mailed Arturia support, they gave me a set of steps to follow, I followed them, and after that launching the synth (I think it was Pigments at the time) the instrument successfully completed the Arturia Sync process. I don't recall if I had the same wording that you have (the bottom line). I'd look for the steps then sent me, but I think it would be better to ask Arturia. Thinks might have changed plus my set of steps might not be the right solution for what you have.
  7. For a 32 preset freebie, I found more presets to mark with a preliminary heart (favorites) than I would have earmarked on the first pass with some of the larger sound packs I considered for the 1/2 price sale. Yes, by and large they are not as "fancy" as some presets designed to showcase some of the "fancier" virtual synths, but I found more useable ones that don't need the kind of tweaking needed to customize / tone down the busy-ness that can clash in the context of a composition.
  8. Just in case the connection is not perfectly Overt: Head --> Head
  9. Magnification = 25x; image from CbB build 098; right side of top button copied/pasted on the bottom two buttons. Comparison (scaled so it fits). Clearly at that size there is a mismatch of button size (look closely at the button borders). above image reduced (x .25 of the above) v. image from CbB build 098) Just to clarify: While there seems to be a size variation of the three buttons/button frames, I would much rather that time spent of CbB be directed at restoring the functionality.
  10. Is that the image from Sonar (Backstage Pass version) or from CbB?
  11. Footnote: I don't think we know at the moment which version will truly be the last version of CbB that we will all need once Cakewalk Sonar is released. Why do I bring this up? Because (in part) of the discussion here: An issue was identified in CbB build 098 that several people verified was new to build 098 (i.e., not in 096 or previous builds). We were told there was a fix, but it was unclear when it would be available. I have absolutely no reason to doubt that. At this point, I think it's premature of CbB users to say what build will be the last CbB version that will enable anyone who wants to continue to use CbB.
  12. Is this ^^^^ the same issue as this:
  13. Is there any other software that might be using the keyboard, such an Arturia configuration utility/tool? In my experience, 99%-100% of the time the "Not enough memory available . . . ." is a message from Windows because something else is using the midi device.
  14. Is Movavi any good? Fanatical has a Movavi Bundle. This is all I know about it (only because I Googled "vegas pro v. movavi."
  15. A classic in so many ways!!! Early tribute to the Beatles decades before tribute bands, yet stands on its own merit as an original song written by Eric Carmen. Super big hit on my college radio station (and I'm sure on many others). Very orgasmic!!! Thanks for some really memorable songs. RIP.
  16. The function/default behavior of W changed a few years ago and an option was added so people could change it back to what it used to be before the change:
  17. Sorry it wasn't helpful in answering the question of whether or not you have to cancel or the the trial just expires.
  18. FWIW, I Googled "What happens if I don't cancel Melodyne Trial?" and the first link was to this forum thread. I don't use melodyne, but maybe this thread has some useful information while you wait for a reply.
  19. I am wondering if anyone with the full version of MSoundFactory has created a GM Instrument that works with the Free MSF Player. I have no idea if its possible and I imagine it would take a whole lot of time to create, so I am not suggesting any one take the time to do it; just wondering if anyone created one already.
