Honorable Mention (because with the oopsies, I lost track and don't want to risk being off topic--whichever one is current): "Call Any Vegetable" [multiple versions available online including ones featuring Flo and Eddie] - Rutabay-ee-ay-guh, Rutabay-ee-ay-guh, Rutabay-guh 😉 Link to article on Vegetables . Carry on with the current association whatever it is.

creating new accounts disabled/not receiving email re: forgotten pw. Can't register BandLab as it responds that: 1. (the site) has disabled creating new accounts. 2. It does not recognize my password. And 3., Upon trying to update my password, I don't receive the email. No problems w/BandLab Acc.

I can only guess: (1) Maybe because they only have the rights to archive it, not to reorganize/recode it. (2) Maybe they have limited staffing resources and those are going into making the new products, top notch. I don't have any special insights; those are just some possibilities off the top of my head. I took the question to be, "Why are the old / legacy web pages still there?" Personally I have gone there over the past couple of years and looked stuff up. As I said, it has a wealth of information. I would hate to see it taken down. I have no idea what would be involved in rewriting the old pages, if it is even permitted under the terms of the agreement. Caveat: I used to worry about things I have no control over, too, but in my advanced age I am trying not to worry as much as I used to. Over the past several months I thought I saw a help page that had what you are asking for. I am not as good at finding things I saw previously as I was even a few months ago, but I will look. UPDATE: Try this page. last item on the right side (articles). Nope. That doesn't help. AHA!! FOUND IT!!! It's under the Worriers article: "What happened to the old SONAR? What happens to everything I paid for?" -

Bonus factoid: "A snippet from "Jupiter: Bringer of Jollity" from Holst's "The Planets" can be heard at the start of Zappa's track Invocation & Ritual Dance Of The Young Pumpkin on Absolutely Free (1967)."

It sounds like you used to know your password for your Cakewalk account. If that's the issue, try contacting support@cakewalk.com . -
Just to let you know, it wasn't until I saw @57Gregy's "See your other thread." reply that I knew for sure you were talking about the product known as Cakewalk by Bandlab. I had a suspicion it wasn't Cakewalk Sonar, so I asked what version of Cakewalk you were using. "The version is the exact same being the latest version" didn't help. FYI: If you are interested in Cakewalk Sonar, you can find it here. If you want to try it out (no saving or exporting), scroll to the bottom to the Download link.

Thank you for your reply. Maybe someone else has other ideas for you.

Note: Since I allow Melda beta updates I updated to 17.03 within the past two weeks. However, the current 17.03 has been updated from what I had.

Interesting. I never tried changing a synth en masse like that on a MIDI Track since the "Replace Synth . . . " options were added a couple of years ago. Since then I have replaced synths many times but by changing an Instrument Track. BTW, I only use the Synth Rack View on special occasions myself and rarely have it showing in my custom Workspaces. So I can understand that not being a preferred solution. Do you have more than one MIDI Track pointed to the same synth in your example? If not, do you get the "Replace Synth for All Tracks Using This Synth" option when you add another MIDI track pointed to the same synth? Out of curiosity, what version of Cakewalk do you have on your old and new computer?

Thanks for the explanation. It seemed odd to me to find three identical posts added within several minutes of each other to threads that were started in 2019, 2020, and 2022. "Wait a sec. Didn't I just read this new post?" Glad to see you found a set of steps that work!

Thanks for the clarification. There have indeed been comments here about KVR's reputation for allowing all sorts of negative posts there. Once I started reading a few sub forums there, I did see what seemed to me relentless / aggressive attacks on some makers of music software or some of their products. I generally don't intentionally visit subforums like that. On the other hand I have seen at least one case where someone important (I presume a moderator?) closed down a thread that contained legitimate gripes. Not sure if that was because KVR makes money from sales, if the moderator really likes the company's products, or other reasons why some threads get closed even if the criticisms are legit. Anyhow thanks for the clarification re: KRV.

For the record, I have posted about legitimate issues I have had with IK. I have also posted praise for things I thought were good. I don't have the time to research and summarize all the issues I have addressed in the past, but to say there aren't issues (or there haven't been issues) and to accuse people of making up or to imply people of making up reasons is not fair to those of us who have posted honest, truthful observations and opinions. "People like to bash IK . . . ." is a gross generalization that gives people without their own experiences with IK a false sense that criticism of IK is unjustified. Before I had my own experiences with IK, I saw many positive comments in the forum about IK which led me to overlook what I later learned were negatives. I learned the hard way and wish there had been more comments pointing to the negatives so that I had more of a balanced perspective. If there are statements in this thread that you are responding to (where you think forum members are "bashing" IK (or making what you feel are unjustified criticisms), please be specific and discuss the issues themselves instead of making generalizations like "People like to bash . . . ."

I noticed that you posted the same reply three times in different sub-forums/threads each instance being from 2 to 4 years old. You got my curiosity: What's up with this repeat pattern of posts in ancient threads? 🤷♂️

FWIW: I saw it, but had nothing to say about it. I do remember thinking "radio button" but didn't think that added anything useful to the request. I assume others saw it, too.

As noted previously, I got to see Flash a few decades ago with 3 other bands--all stellar performances from excellent musicians with amazing material [Savoy Brown, Flash, Tower of Power, and Rory Gallagher]. I can still remember being there and recognizing the quality performances at the time. RIP

Nice find. I can't remember the last time I watched a Sina video. She's been at home at the drums for a while. Definitely the group's own version of Tommy, but at the same time their tribute to The Who comes across very well and is a pleasure to listen to. Easy to remember the past and to listen to this fresh rendition.

So I got an e-mail from Plugin Boutique and decided to check out KV331 Audio's site. I assume they have extended the sale to other third-party vendors. So if anyone is interested in upgrading to SynthMaster 3 (or even just picking up the SynthMaster Player or whatever related promotions they have), I'd encourage forum participants to shop around. Disclosure: I've had the Everything Bundle for a few years and have no vested interest here. When I saw the $29 upgrade price (SynthMaster 2 to SynthMaster 3), I remembered when 3 first came out, there was forum discussion about pricing in part IIRC because the pre-release price was less than the post release price. OOOPS: I thought I had switched to the Deals subforum. If there's a moderator who can move this post there, great!
