  1. Yes, I saw a new email for this on Saturday only to find out it was the same thing I downloaded 6 months ago. I don't know that I've used this for anything but I really haven't been swimming in time lately.
  2. The way it categorizes content is nice. It allows you to view all of your applications, kontakt libraries, reaktor ensembles separately. Unless you are part of their Kontakt Now subscription, I don't think it is necessary.
  3. Run Native Access to update. Changelog is on their forum. https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/4823/official-update-status-native-access-current-version-2-4-0#latest
  4. Bitwig is the same way. Their midi preview only plays a simple sine wave, which is useless for auditioning drums.
  5. I would like them to update the browser. It would be nice if you could tag presets so you could easily navigate to the ones you want to use for a given application (drums, guitar, vox, etc).
  6. That's why I said "we'll give it to you when we release it" as opposed to "when it's ready". Which is absolutely mind blowing to me. These guys invented tagged browsing and three years after the release still have a patch browsing system that can't compete with the first wave of CM plugins?
  7. They are definitely due in a month or two. As for Kontakt 7, it could turn out to be one of those "we'll give it to you when we release it" things like Massive X. As for Soundwide integration, I think it's too soon for that, although there are some synergies that might be nice to explore.
  8. For everyone complaining about the lack of content releases, is there something you are looking for in particular, or do you just want shiny new things? Most of the rock stuff I do sounds fine with Fairfax. Sometimes I'll do stuff that might be called Neo-Soul, and for that it's Kontakt's Abbey Road 60s. For electronic stuff I use Battery or RMV. It's crazy, but there's a 20 year old library from Wizoo I still use for chillout things. I can't say I've felt the need for more drum packages.

    NI FM8 for $12

I would be a little surprised, considering that it's a fairly complete synth which goes well beyond the original concept of being a DX7 synth. Most of what it needs are more in line with compatibility updates as opposed to features. But the effects are a bit dated (and while cool, I always thought that PsycheDelay was an odd inclusion) Who knows, maybe they can include some of their updated effects, add the compatibility stuff, update the interface, and that might be enough to call it FM9 and stick it in Komplete?

  11. We still have a few months if we assume they keep to historical schedules, and they usually drop things less than a month before, if not concurrent with the release.
  12. Wow, they don't even have that up on the AAS page yet.
  13. The 1176, 160, 2A, and both reverbs are included in Guitar Rig 6 as well.
  14. Am I right in remembering that their last component released was in 2012?
  15. They have EZBass marked as a DEAL, but they are selling it for the regular list price of $179. Am I missing something?
  16. Obviously that saying came before the release of MTurboDelay.
  17. Nevertheless the library is an oldy but goodie.
  18. I like the interface of version 2 much better, but it does seem to be much slower in checking updates.
  19. I'm impressed that the Kansas City amp has both a Missouri side and a Kansas side.
  20. I missed that too. They don't hit you over the head and say "hey, look what we added to the bundle!"
  21. Be careful. The installer was defaulted to uninstall RC-20 for me.
  22. Ron Kuper used to brag that the DX format supported all that stuff years before as well. I'm worried that CLAP is going to turn into just another format that more people have to support. AAX and AU aren't going away, and I doubt VST will. CLAP is going to have to be so much better to even make a dent.
  23. Hopefully getting the compatibility stuff out of the way means they can get to working on new components.
  24. PSA: Hideaway Sounds is on Loop Audio for those wanting this for a freebie.
