Does the GSatPlus offer a mix parameter? If it does you could automate the wet/dry of the plugin rather then the on/off. Another thought is to create an axiliary track and then add a send for each track to the auxiliary track. Then you could automate the volume of the aux track. Admittedly, those are just work arounds for what you are trying to do. I don't know why the on/off automation would not work.

Or just drag the divider over to only see the first one.

You need to follow your signal levels through the whole system. On the track that the instrument is playing what levels are the meters showing? What is the source of the sound your are playing? Audio clip, Virtual Instrument inside Cakewalk or an external device?

Your going to have to give more information. How is the mic connected to the computer? Is it a USB mic or is it connected through an audio interface? What driver mode are you using (WASAPI, ASIO etc)?

I had the same problem. You have to go into your account and add an address with your location. Otherwise, it defaults to some Europe location and charges you VAT

Do you have auto-save enabled? If so you might have an earlier version from which you can recover the lost midi.

Once you use the generic surface you may have to map the controls to what you want to control. Personally, for generic control I have found that @azslow3 controller software the most customizable. Sorry, I can't walk you through it because I have never got consistent results controlling VSTi's and the like with my Nektar controller. I don't think you want to create an instrument track for Helix native. It is an effect not a source of audio. You would create an audio track, record some audio, like a guitar, then add helix as an effect in the effect bin, You could then control Helix native with midi to switch snapshots, pedals etc.

What is your plugin layout set to? Maybe you don't have the one selected that you are showing in the plugin manager

I have submitted several test projects that exhibit the issue. It was a long time ago, old Sonar Platinum, that they said they could reproduce it but I never saw a fix. There is some magic recipe that I could not consistently preproduce except during normal comping. It most likely shows up if you have sections that do not fully overlap. Meaning, record a few takes between, say, bars 4-8. Then set a loop between bars 7 and 10 a do a few takes. I think it is this clips only partially overlapping that is part of the recipe.

I don't use komplete control, rather I use Kontakt, however the principles are the same. You either need a separate instance of an instrument for each track or you have to load separate instruments into one instance and set them to listen to separate midi channels.

This is a problem I have seen Cakewalk have for years. To get around it i comp, bounce then edit the bounced clip.
