  1. While I do not use or have ever used Firewire, Here is my take on this. Blue screens on start up (I am assuming you mean Windows start up) usually indicate buggy drivers or faulty hardware. Strictly as a troubleshooting action, you might want to completely remove your Firewire PCIe card and drivers so that you only have the USB 2.0 Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 installed. If you still get Blue screens, then you know that it’s very unlikely to be the firewire It might also help to get some information from the blue screen - sometimes it can tell you the file or driver causing it.
  2. Uninstall Bandlab Assistant and then download the latest version. https://www.bandlab.com/download/assistant/windows If you are using Bandlab Assistant solely for the purpose of installing Cakewalk by Bandlab, then you might want to consider not using Bandlab Assistant and use the Web Installer instead.

    Grayed out stuff

Maybe put in a feature request here. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/8-feedback-loop/
  4. What happens when you try it in this case?
  5. Did you enable ripple edit before the delete (or Cut Special)?
  6. With CbB 2021.11 015, I was able to drag MIDI clips to the desktop. There were named clip(1).mid, clip(2).mid, clip(3).mid, etc. I run CbB using an account that is a member of the local administrators group - but I cannot imagine you changed anything on your PC in this respect. As a test, create a folder off the C drive and try dragging the clips to that folder and see what happens.
  7. I am finding myself agreeing with you on this one. The Workspace on a fresh install of CbB should be set to "None"
  8. Or you can press "H" and the track pane appears in the right hand part of the PRV.
  9. Here are some things that get me out of a situation like this. 1) Set each MIDI track’s channel to a specific channel number (1 to 16) rather than “None” . (can be done in inspector - press i ) 2) Set each MIDI track’s input to a specific MIDI controller rather than All and Omni. 3) Make sure you disable “Enable MIDI output” on all VSTi plugins. (This is done in the VST plugin window menu - the down arrow next to “VST2” or “VST3”)
  10. Full Retail version of Kontakt 5.8.0 or higher required
  11. UVI World Suite 2 updated to 1.07 Changes in this version [Fix] Keyswitches in "Celtic Percussions" [Fix] Loops behavior in "Mongol Voices" folder To update, run UVI Portal or download directly from your UVI account on the UVI website. (I downloaded directly. For me, that’s quicker) Yes, it's a 32gig download - I think UFS files are like a complete virtual disk, complete with files and folders within the file. Note: If you have created Cakewalk Articulation maps for "Celtic Percussions", they will have to be edited to cater for the update. Most mappings have changed.
  12. Maybe drop a note to iZotope for clarification.
  13. That is correct. I have used this method and it works very well.
  14. All good here. Loaded 83 instances of BBCSO Core in PC configured as per signature.
  15. I'm still waiting for that “Talent” VSTi
  16. By Default, ALT-F brings up the File menu > then S does the save.... On mine, I have assigned ALT-F to something else all together....(Edit | Select by filter)
  17. I just use Versioning (last 5). Autosave for me, very intermittently, attempted to do the save when I was doing an intentional save - resulting in a corrupted CWP file (had to restore from previous version) I have mapped F2 to Save so I just have to tap F2 every so often. Versioning has actually saved my kaboose more often than Autosave ever would have.
  18. These libraries require the FULL Retail version of Kontakt 6.4.1
  19. Run Izotope Product Portal to update
  20. Folk Fiddle 2 requires the FULL version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or above
  21. Try this. At the end of your projects. Put an MCI Command: Pause See: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.081.html
  22. One thing you might want to try is this. On a none firefox browser (EG Edge or Chrome) , head over to beta.focusrite.com and download the BETA drivers for the Scarlet 1820 interface. The release notes therein specifically mention Cakewalk by Bandlab.
  23. What happens if you set the export folder in preferences | File | Folder locations (bottom of list)
  24. Actually, I just opened a CWP file , and this indeed created an "Audio Export" folder in the folder where the CWP resides. This was from within cakewalk - double clicking in the CWP file does the same thing. This folder was created as soon as I opened the file. I did not even open up the export dialogue box. This folder was not removed after I Closed cakewalk (I did not do a save) FWIW, I have set a specific folder location for exports in Preferences | File | Folder Locations > Export Audio Files. So it looks like there might be a little bug in there somewhere
