Dang. JUST registered AmpLion Pro a couple of weeks ago but no upgrade path. Ah well. No rush. Strange that they just released the Linda sim not long ago and now this. Maybe they'll release AmpLion 2 Rock Nice-to-Haves for $29.

Thanks, Grem. I'm so glad you both got it out of the way, if you both had to get it at all. Can't imagine another two weeks of laying low if anyone else in the house were to catch it. I never had a fever, just a persistent cough, fatigue, and the worst body aches imaginable. Sickest I've ever been. Just tested positive again but hear that can happen as far out as 90 days. Feeling MUCH better and hopefully able to enjoy a sunny 65 degree day here in Detroit on Monday. I would be recovering faster if I had more deals to look at.... Thank you Forum peeps - not a lot of joy on the internet these days but I can always find it here.

I’m on the rebound, mates—thank you. Week #2 is showing some signs of recovery...last week was the pits. Being holed up in a 9x10 bedroom is the worst part about it now. from what I can hear, my daughter has taken over my gear and is writing stuff that clearly has more musical value than my own. Soundwise posted this vid on the IK Mesa Boogie thread and it does AmpLion Pro a service when it comes to the Dual Rec model. Sure, it's not perfect, but the sim is way long in the tooth already and still has some goodness to it. Of course, he's running it through an OwnHammer IR but that's also testament to the value of a good 3rd party IR for most amp sims I've run across/can afford. I expect the new AmpLion to impress after all this time.

Every one of your songs I've listened to has been a great experience. You've got a great voice. Doubling the guitar with synths was a super nice touch; I'm not listening with headphones so a bit harder to detect any harshness in higher ranges but even if they're there, it's a fine piece. I was really hoping the synth would help ride the song out and I wasn't disappointed!

With 3rd party IRs, it's not bad. I JUST installed it from a CD I had bought years ago but forgot about it when I moved. Like many amp sims, I suspect the new version will sound better with 3rd party IRs.

The CPU hit for AmpRoom is far and away higher than Neural when you start to add their time-based plugins which kills it for me. I have it for sale on KVR but they've undercut my price now so I guess I'll be stuck with it for a while. It does sound damn good, I'll give it that, and being able to integrate other Softube plugins is a plus but I just don't see the promise of "continuous development" that they and some other developers promise. I got it for less than this sale price so I wouldn't call it a regret purchase...yet...but I can be talked out of this software pretty easily compared to everything else i have. I really WANT to like it, but... One thing that continuously surprises me is the number of amp sims that don't sound nearly as good with stock IRs vs. 3rd party. What alien technology are OwnHammer using that IK's 4,980,469 robotically-calculated IRs aren't???? Every amp sim I own - including Amp Room but excluding Neural DSP - carry this flaw.

Where is the search at right now? We know his town, but IIRC that's about all know. I'd love to help the search but I think for privacy purposes any further info hasn't been divulged. I'm with Mibby (and a lot of us, I know) that supporting Terry's family is priority one. If we've exhausted all avenues to find his next of kin, that's cool, but we should at least decide the direction we want to go with the donation.
