Sure it's relevant, just like an acoustic & bass guitar aren't the same. If someone can't tell the difference or doesn't want to know the difference then I tend not to trust that persons ears as well. But thanks for listening anyway...

Marimba, vibes, xylo , glocks are all different (similar to acoustic & bass guitars.) The zylo sample used on this track was probably done using hard rubber mallets, not felt.. but yeah it's a melodic percussion instrument playing with the melody.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure your mean the zylo cause there's no marimba on this track. I'll check them out next time I re-visit the track. Usually it's eq or comp issues with zylo's more than a level one. With lots of tracks on this project I usually need to take Coco's advice before releasing... Thanks Wookiee, appreciate the listen. True but I've always found it did the best job handling phase issues on the low-end.

I do like monofilter & use it at times. His price-points have remained consistent & geared more for pro studio / post applications. Good stuff but not easily affordable for the hobbyist making music for fun & not for profit.
