  1. Unless I'm missing something none of those prices are anything like 45% off. My guess is that it's not so much that they aren't starving for business as they just don't care anymore.
  2. Goldplate is $39!! CPU heavy but sounds absolutely gorgeous.
  3. I'm loving some of the demos of the Canterbury suitcase, and it will someday be mine. For now, I will have to do make do with some of the marginally less glorious-sounding Rhodes VIs I already have.
  4. 50% off Vienna Imperial is tempting, but I'm going to hold firm. I've got my Moonkits, and that will have to be my BF buy (unless BF stretches into December!)
  5. Good to know - it's the brush swirls I really want!
  6. Me too! I want moonkits! Kinda regretting not going for the deal Christian mentioned. I ummed and ahhed too long on it.
  7. I find Kontakt incredibly user-unfriendly, and a pain on my eyes. All the same, I'd be loathe to give up the access it grants, especially to the straightaheadsamples libraries! And doesn't this mean losing the Bechstein you like so much, Fleer?
  8. Thanks Craig! I really like the Skybox Acoustic bundle - would be keen to add some of the others at some point!
  9. FWIW, Skybox have pretty regular 40% off sales. And now that APD have done 60% off the acoustic package (which would have suited you great for a character upright BTW), maybe they'll go to town on the other packages too!
  10. I'd save your dough and buy one good upright piano. Specifically, VI Labs modern U. A good piano library *does* require good scripting, and it doesn't get better than VI labs. Per the comment above re buying cheap and buying twice, you'll literally never need another upright library (or potentially any piano library) with VI Labs.
  11. I'm hoping for a nice discount on Fluffy Audio's jazz drums and/or Soniccouture's Moonkits. I'd really like to update EZD2 to EZD3, but would get more use at the moment out of more targeted libraries that are great for swirls and brushes. I'm not optimistic, but a 3 for 2 deal on Indiginus libraries would be sweet!
  12. Damnit! Wanted this to be a deal 🙂
  13. Kuassa amp sims are my faves. The effects are great if you use their 360 ecosystem.
  14. Thanks Craig! This sorted it for me! Craig
  15. Gotta say, the demo didn't sell me. I mean, yeah, it's shreddy per the title, but kinda sounds like a bunch of other amp sims from that.
  16. Welp. Went to see if it's a free upgrade and they seem to have no record of me having an account with them (despite me owning everything they've made!). A mite worrying.
  17. *All* the free VSL libraries are well worth having. So are all the paid ones I've got, but that's another story. Their support has always been excellent, btw - When it comes to getting a refund on a library you decide isn't for you, they're very responsive and easy to deal with.
  18. Bought this and spent some time yesterday playing with it. Fantastic presets, and (once I'd read the manual) very sculptable main sounds. I have literally dozens of piano VIs, but will get lots of use out of this. For anyone without much in the way of pianos, this could give you everything you need with a nice grand, nice upright, and nice old upright! Definitely a worthy rival to Noire and Ascend in the sound design/cinematic stakes as well!
  19. Pulse has always worked really smoothly for me. It's one of the better downloaders/installers...and pretty much everything StraightAheadSamples make is gold, so well worth it!
  20. If I understand correctly, this isn't intended as a strumming library - It's called 'fingerstyle' after all! (though I was hoping it would have some sort of strum engine anyway). FWIW It was the Edelweiss demo that caught my ear as being really expressive.
  21. The demos sound amazing but I can't spring for this atm. Especially now I've just discovered the delights of the Indiginus libraries.
  22. Every tokyodawn plugin I've got has been worth many times what I paid for it!
