  1. It all depends on what im playing, when I need to dig in.. I don't want that twangy single coil sound or that 60 cycle hum. This guitar was built for one reason, it's an 03 Fender Strat with 1 pick up / 1 volume knob. The pick up in this guitar is a 1982 Seymour Duncan 59B wound by none other than maricela Juarez. I'll be totally honest, I hate the twangy sound of Strat's so much that I stayed clear of them all my life. But in 2006 I went in to guitar center to buy an amp (Marshall JCM800) I grabbed the first guitar I saw to test out the amp.. That guitar was this Strat. I was so blown away, I left with the guitar instead of the amp. Took it home and ripped it apart rebuilt it with new parts. Its not often but every once in a while you find a guitar that is simply just amazing to play and it doesn't feel like a guitar, it feels like an extension of your hand, it feels like a body part.
  2. TBH, I don't use a vibrato bar that much either, but I do a massive amount of bending in my lead playing. This video is not a good example (because I made some mistakes in it) but you can get a good idea the type of style I play...
  3. Ya the 10-52's are a little too heavy for me but I totally understand why some people use them, to be honest there's not much of a difference on the high E -B and G strings. But on the D- A and E strings is a big jump(.6,10,10).

    Rewind to start?

Try pressing "W" to bring you back to start of project.
  5. Yea that was pretty rough to swallow. But I agree with your troubleshooting technique of plugging everything into one multistrip via one outlet. You need to do this in order to trouble shoot the main issue. It takes unplugging almost everything and than rebuilding the power sources 1 by 1. I would start by powering everything off and using 1 outlet strip and plug everything into that 1 strip. Add essentials in one by one. if both power strips are plugged in to the same outlet, that shouldn't be a problem but the second you introduce a second power source (a different outlet) you'll be toast. I thought of mention interference before (kind of like the WIFI) but I've had stupid things, like certain wireless phones mess with my clean connections. check everything.
  6. That will be one of my next pick ups for sure, those and the Paradigm. Also looking forward to trying out those ProSteels @HiddenSymmetry mentioned. I knew you were endorsed by EB, but I also know you to be a man of good integrity. Looking forward to checking out the M steel's.
  7. OMG, I forgot all about the stickers . I have a guitar case (For my Fender Jazz) right next to me with one of those stickers on it. As far as the Pro steels go, never tried them but I think I will give them a shot next.
  8. I don't know, I personally didn't think so. but its not like a hover car where I was blown away. I guess I wasn't expecting much, so what ever bonus came out of it I was surprised. Man I haven't seen them around for almost 10 years. It stinks when you find something you like and they close shop. I use to use these back in the 80's They still make them but not like they used to back them. not sure what they did but around 1992, 93 the strings changed. I moved to Ernie Ball back then and have been happy.
  9. Your going to have to copy paste the old Pro Channel Presets (compressor algorithms) to the new Pro channel presets folder. I had to do it as well. PS- you might want to do the same with your Track Templates as well.
  10. I'd like to do a review on these strings as this is the first time I've used them. I used the 9-42. I am a bender by nature and love the feel of lighter gauged strings. The package said Maximum output and clarity. These strings cost almost double what I normally use Ernie Ball super slinky Pinks. So I was cautious to buy into gimmick strings. I've had the strings on my guitar now for almost 2 weeks. I must say the longevity of the strings has indeed held out very nicely. As for the maximized output and clarity, There is a slight difference, I wouldn't say maximized output, but I would say improved sustain. The clarity is a toss up, they have sounded like brand new strings for almost 2 weeks now so I guess there is some truth to that as well. Over all I would say im impressed. Not sure I would put them on every guitar I own but for guitars in the recording studio, these make life a little bit easier because of their lasting sound. Dare I also say I found them to stay in tune slightly more than the normal EBSS Pinks
  11. First thing I would suggest is looking at your WIFI. If you have onboard WIFI for your PC/Laptop, disable it in device manager. Second thing, Painstakingly trace your path for all wires, cables and plugs. You need to find the problem before you can apply the solution.
  12. I use an M Audio Oxygen 49. It has faders, knobs and buttons which can be linked using ACT. Its about 170.00 USA dollars. Im not a huge fan of M Audio but there basic keyboard controllers have been decent in my experiences.
  13. Im not even sure I've broke the 100 plug ins limit before and it was pushing my system pretty hard. Your talking double that. I would try to be realistic and frugal at the same time. If you have any experience building PC's than start getting that list going, if you don't, then talk to Jim from Studiocat. Everything I've ever heard about (people who own one) has always been great. That also includes his support to customers.
  14. Good song, Good ideas and Good hooks. Drums need to be louder though. Especially when it kicks into the double time parts (during the bridges). I can barely hear the kick during those parts. Like the breakdown too, good writing. The whistling parts are cheesy but you know, seem to work pretty good. Its catchy.
  15. @TedPiano Meter key changes are done the same way . Glad its sorted.
  16. Im talking about renaming AUD.ini and letting Cakewalk rebuild a new one.
  17. Same here. I have like 12 cabs alone (not including combo amps) 6 heads and 5 guitars (had to bring it down to five because I was hoarding guitars for a while (over 25).
  18. For what its worth, Sonar X3 was never supported Windows 10. Windows 10 was released in 2015, Sonar X3 2013. I mean it should work. but you have to take that into consideration when adding up the abnormality's.

Great work. love the writing, love the vocal melody. I could hear this recorded and mixed by Andy Wallace with Jeff Buckley feel to it.
  20. I would first open up the Tempo view (Views/Tempo) and make sure there are no varying tempos there. Set it all to 120. Now after you have found that tempo for your new idea, Open this window... Get to that by "Project > Insert Tempo Change". Tap your tempo out. Change your tempo either here or in the main screen and go with it. If you want to make multiple tempo changes, use this window as well. Place the Nowtime to the spot of the tempo change and open this window (don't forget to change "Insert new tempo".
  21. Yup, this had "Snap" written all over it, its happened to me as well.
  22. It would be nice if you shared your solution with others. This way it could possibly help someone else.
  23. Great writing. There is something about the mix that doesn't sound quite right but that could be my speakers. Its early AM here and im not listening on my studio speakers. The flow of the material and the writing though is very good. I liked it.
  24. Is that a JetCity ISO cab I see there (looks like possibly a variac on top of it)? If so how do you like it ? I built my own ISO cab but im still fighting weather or not like it or not. Hey I totally understand where your coming form. I personally love this song you have created. I am a tone chaser like most obsessive guitarist are. I have 10 cabs (1x12's, 2x12's, 4x12's) loaded with Greenbacks, V30s, Classic lead's, Redcoats, exc. But as I mentioned before..1/3 of the song is a fade / feedback. What you do with it is up to you of course. I was simply giving you my opinion on what I thought sounded a bit dragged out. Hope I didn't come across as being negative.
