  1. Are you running the latest Cakewalk Hotfix Build 25.09.0.70 ??? There was an issue with the way Aux tracks used Buffer overflow that was fixed in 25.09.0.68. Might not be the same as your problem but its worth a try.
  2. Its about 10 years old. These units life span shouldn't exceed 5 years in my opinion. If your running an older OS, older hardware its not really a problem, but when you have a device that was designed to run on Windows Vista or XP you tend to get thin in the socks.
  3. Any windows custom theme, Ease of access will alter a software's ability to graphically display content proportionately. This is more evident on software that's seen a few miles without updates. System requirements for Aria GI is Monitor with 1024×768 resolution or higher
  4. Yea okay. Let me rephrase the question... Are you using windows 8 ease of access for a closer zoom ?
  5. And you are navigating to the menu by route of... Click the Track view Tracks menu and choose Bounce to Track(s) to open the Bounce to Track(s) dialog box.
  6. Yes indeed. Whats the virtual cable ? Virtual audio cable software ? ?
  7. Are you using windows 10 ease of access for a closer zoom ?
  8. Did you select the track/tracks first ?? Note: If you select any data in your project, only that data is included when you choose to bounce tracks.
  9. MIDI Prepare Buffer Size and automation If your project contains several track/clip automation envelopes, setting your MIDI playback buffer size too low (in Edit > Preferences > MIDI - Playback and Recording) can cause audio to crackle if your audio latency is also set very low. This problem will be somewhat worse if you enable multiprocessing in the audio engine. To minimize or eliminate these crackles, please be sure to keep your MIDI playback buffers at or above the default setting of 250 msec. I would set it to 500 instead of 250. (even try 750 if needed) But im not sure this is your issue. Are you using the 32 bit version of the VST 2 plug in Virtual Bassist ? And.. Are your VST's/Those Samples for Virtual Bassist on the same Hard drive as Cakewalk ? (On the C: Drive ?)
  10. @Josh Wolfer Problem is, these are all new features just added within the past few months. I highly doubt they will change these. Been using Cakewalk since Pro Audio days (1998) So im almost as DOS as you are . I was simply trying to throw out some work arounds. Sometimes I can come off as ignorant though. My apology's if I did in my first comment. FWIW, you have my ear for every feature you listed above (all 3). I hope they will (at minimum), Make some sort of... "Let me turn this thing off" in Track view menu. Personally I think the timeline was small it enough as it was, but now its become very difficult to navigate with these new features. Im set in my ways and get cranky when my workflow is changed, but its also important to note.. I haven't given these features a fair chance yet. But that Aim Assist # tag is just like a curtain blocking the view. Cheers from Boston, MA, Charlie
  11. I had a Focusrite unit that would go into sleep mode after 30 minutes of non use. Personally I would start a music session by- Powering on your Focusrite, Powering on your Keyboard/Necktar, Power up Cakewalk. Is that normally how you start ? or do you leave your devices on all the time ?
  12. I loaded your project, took a look at it and inserted Dim Pro without issue. Matter of fact you can see in the photo below (your project) the core use is low and even. If I had Scheps Omni, im sure I could figure out what was going on but I don't have that plug in.
  13. Sounds like you have a new idea for Bandlab

I worked on this quite a bit last night trying to repro in many different scenarios. I just couldn't get it to do what you did. I am impressed with this photo Almost looks like one project is on top of another. With the bottom section being the default (look at the Browser tabs). Yet there is no search bar for the Browser in the bottom one. And the track option in the top section appear to be hovering over where the timeline is. At first it thought maybe my repro wasn't correct. Because I tested this on one of my own Templates (big no no when trying to test). So I tried instead loading a new - Open Cakewalk>Start screen>New project. But still got the same. Wish I could be more help Steve. Interesting results no doubt. Anyway, lets hope the OP comes back to tell us what's going on with his deal

I would leave your post as is. It’s valuable info for others who may see the same

    Piano Roll view

I couldn't seem to repro this following the steps above.

    Piano Roll view

Im going to have to roll with my original statement. In a project that has Audio tracks only, PRV will not open in using ALT+3, Views>Piano roll view, not even saying please will suffice.
  18. Yea this beyond my scope. I thought “The 4th spot” was some cool new club.
  19. Use CNTRL+SHIFT+A to clear your selection Aim Assist is snap dependent, meaning you set it using the snap module Good point. I've always had an issue with that. but while my mouse is there to edit the name of the marker, it takes 1 click to move it. not a deal breaker IMO.
  20. I was going to try and help with this earlier but... What's a 4th spot ?

Heres what im guessing, im going out on a limb here but....... Are you trying to open an audio track in the PRV. I could be wrong but worth a check. you kind of need tracks/data to be able to open the PRV.
  22. I know your upset but you have to burden some of the blame on yourself. No software is perfect and nothing is fail safe. Back to your problem, Audio is only removed from the current project. If your not using Per project folders, your risking losing a lot of work using the global audio folder or not using versioning. Did you save all your audio files in one folder (The Global Audio folder) ? If you did and you had several incarnations of this project, Cakewalk surely doesn't realize what your intent is. Until you fully digest this, I would suggest this instead... - Use File>Save>New project - Rename the project to something similar as you had - If you have several versions of the same song "using the same Audio files", Save them all in the same manner. Sorry about your loss of data, that's a tough one to swallow but it teaches us to be more careful in the future. Software doesn't really understand our motives, its up to us to teach it what we like, thus Learning the techniques which to use. Clean audio folder has been Rock solid here and they made some updates to it around a year ago (no longer waiting years for a search). It literally lists every single file and asks you are you sure you want to delete these. I always look at these files closely, even after using it for 10+ years, I still check.
  23. I was thinking the same thing. Are you trying to switch sample rates within the same project ?
