  1. Unify and other synth libraries. Until Jan 4. Many titles at 40% off. Just added three titles at 70% off:
  2. Me too! So many synths added to my collection this season, but the way you can twist the arp in Kult via the mod wheel is amazeballs. All Dawsome synths make it so easy to utilize after touch, mod, pitch-wheel and CC values. Love it.
  3. https://lunacy.audio/products/frost Requires CUBE (IDK if it will work with the Lite version) New Festive Pack! Introducing Frost Grab that hot cocoa and cozy up because CUBE just got extra frosty ? Explore icy pads, festive sequences, twinkly plucks, and a fresh set of seasonal orbits in our new free preset pack, Frost. Frost is only available until Dec 31st. Download soon!
  4. Also Reveal Sound is running 50% off preset collections at their store. https://www.reveal-sound.com/store/product/Reveal_Sound_6In1_EDM_Bundle is a pretty good deal for around 700 more presets by Reveal Sound ($30).
  5. LOL... I just clicked on the blurred gold box and got it.
  6. I bought Suite 11 a couple years ago for the Rack capability, then I took a "+" sub to try out the newer instruments/players. I recently decided to actually give the DAW a chance and finished a tune in it. There is a lot to like IMHO working with MIDI in the sequencer. This is my hobby, so I rationalize that it is good brain exercise to flit from one DAW to another.
  7. I actually missed 2.0.13 All info below https://kilohearts.com/ Please check the following few posts if you have kHs One installed. It may be removed or broken by the installer. Wake up @everyone, version 2.0.13 just dropped! This version features a new modulation module, the Slew Limiter. You can use it to filter your other modulation sources. Perfect to soften rapid changes in pressure, for example. I'm sure you will find something fun to do with it! Note that the Kilohearts Installer no longer installs kHs ONE as this is a legacy product and is no longer supported. The final version of kHs ONE can be downloaded here: https://kilohearts.com/docs/download_and_installation#khs_one Now, onto the change log: General - New modulator: Slew Limiter - DSP & UI performance improvements. - Fixed broken inverted mode for the LFO Table modulator. - Fixed a memory leak that could cause some memory to not be freed when loading a new preset. Phase Plant - Made sideband input on modulators work for global voice as well. Gain - Fixed a bug sometimes causing clicks when automating the gain. Happy holidays @everyone! Version 2.0.14 is out. Some bugfixes, especially for you! - Fixed a problem where the modulation lane disappeared in some cases. - Fixed a problem where macro knobs changed position slightly depending on number of modulations. - Fixed a problem where modulators didn't always follow their group's enable state properly.
  8. I have been running Malwarebytes Premium for many years (I got grandfathered in on a permanent license). It has never balked at UVI software, which I have been using for fewer years. The IP referenced in that forum is not (currently anyway) UVI. Maybe someone was victimized by a DNS hack? At any rate, posts dated 2020. You can go to https://lookup.icann.org/en and find the registration info for IP addresses and domain names. If you are suspicious of a download, you can drag it to https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload (Google service)- free multi AV scanner, but limited file size allowed.
  9. I think I may go ahead and pull the trigger on the update too. It appears more stable- that was the biggest issue I had. I have had one crash window so far, but the program continued to run and I didn't lose anything. It used to just dump out to the desktop. Must be the new Java engine.
  10. Anyone else having trouble activating the trial? I am also having long delays with this forum. Maybe my ISP is stuck in a snowbank. //EDIT// I am up and flying now. I tried to install alongside 1.7 and I guess that ain't allowed. Uninstalled per RTFM and I am up and flying now. UI is none too friendly for aging eyeballs. ?
  11. Mine too. I have both Rhythm and Music, latest versions prior. I found them very clunky to use, and set them aside fairly quickly. $29 for apparently a bug fix gives one pause, but I understand that with the death of the primary developer, there is some financial risk assumed by those moving forward. The code base must be well commented. I dl'ed the demo and will take it for a spin. Fingers crossed!
  12. Hotel manager to staff: "The house always wins." "Wait... is that Larry checking in?"
  13. Re: M1, the CEO says "early 2023" in this Dec 16 post: https://reasonstudios.com/blog/roadmap-update-from-ceo-niklas-agevik/
  14. Look for it after the "Mind Blowing Synthesizer" is released ?
  15. Long awaited support for VST3 comes to Reason 12 owners (and Reason + subscribers). Run it tomorrow to get the update prompt. Still no support for MIDI from VST though ? https://reasonstudios.com/
  16. Nope. Cubase 12 (and maybe 11?) comes with "Spectralayers One". Steiny allows no upgrade path to SpectraLayers Pro, according to the fine print on the upgrade page. https://www.steinberg.net/spectralayers/compare-editions/ In regard to UNMIX function, "One" is limited to vocals only. I own Cubase Pro 12 but have not tried that function, as so far I have not found a use for it. Admittedly cool technology though.
  17. I have not used the stem separator, other than to observe the function out of curiosity. I've only used RX 9 Standard for "fixing" problems (usually some kind of noise) in old recordings. It is called "Music Rebalance" and you will find it referenced by same in the manual. When you click "Separate" in the Rebalance window, it splits the audio into four stems vocal/bass/percussion/other as new tabs in the RX Editor. Each tab can be edited, exported, etc.
  18. Could be an American thing, I don't know. I am sure the basic idea is to incentivize you to autopay your bill with their card and that momentum will keep your business there after the spiff ends. They are also giving a 3% kick-back for all online purchases this quarter, so my they are getting my GAS business. Time will tell if I stick with D+ not too likely since I am neither a Star Wars or Marvel fan, and they seem to have a ton of that (and kid shows of course- none of those here either
  19. New Release! Intro Sale ($39 vs $49) • A bluesy/gritty/expressive harmonica • Made for the full version of Kontakt 6.7.1+ • Normal + Bluesy Legato samples • Lots of special articulations for extra subtlety • "Chugger Mode" for rhythm and chord phrases Embertone · Honkytonk Harmonica We set out to create a virtual harmonica with a honkytonk soul… stylistically faithful to the country and blues music originating from old-time southern bars of the past. In other words: a twangy virtual harmonica that stands on its own, whether you’re backing up the band, or soloing over it. Trigger real, sampled vibrato performances for the extra realism, or intimately control our modeled vibrato engine instead. Go between "Normal" and "Bluesy" legato styles, and dig into an array of user controls and specialized articulation to craft a totally legit harmonica performance. We can't wait to see what you can create with this expressive virtual harmonica!
  20. Kinda what I was thinking. I was going to watch for SpectraLayers sale, but have since picked up RX 9 Standard on a pretty good bundle deal in Feb. Gonna pass on Spectra, even if it goes to $119.
  21. If you have an Amex card, check your perks. They are now paying me $2 per month to add Disney + to Hulu. A deal is a deal
  22. They have a crossgrade too, but the price is still showing $199, which a $20 penalty vs buying outright. In the past, the crossgrade has been part of the sale, so it should be $119.
  23. Two year old Ryzen 3700X is showing both Vibe and Vogue using about the same here: 5% GUI closed, 10% GUI open; single instance in Studio One 6. I disabled the FX to try and keep an equal footing, since the patches were different. Measurement from Windows Task Manager 128 sample buffer.
