I think that is the key- Make it as accessible and simple as possible. I like the sounds, but (I have all the synths) there is very much a "keep stepping through the presets" search required because of this approach. The unified Plug-in for all the synths is nice, and at least does make it easy to jump among patches from different Usynth "products".

FYI- Got this email today. Seems they realized that they MIGHT have priced this above the market. IDK if this is even worth the 29€, based on the company history. No mention of a trial that I can find. Just a 7 day refund policy. https://www.orbplugins.com/orb-synth-x/ Orb Synth X Upgrade: New Pricing Dear Valued Customers, We have received numerous complaints about the pricing of the Upgrade for the new Orb Synth X, and after reviewing the feedback, we agree that the current pricing is not fair to our loyal and long-time customers. We truly value your continued support, and we want to express our gratitude by offering the Orb Synth X upgrade at a significantly discounted price. As a goodwill gesture, we are happy to announce that the new listed price for the upgrade will be 39€ instead of 99€. Furthermore, we are pleased to offer an additional discount until the end of May, which means that you can purchase the upgrade for 29€ only. We want to assure our customers who have already paid the old price that they will automatically receive a refund of the difference in price. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support.

Lunacy Audio PASTELS Expansion Release Plus 40% off Everything
Brian Lawler replied to Brian Lawler's topic in Deals
They were quick to get back to me as well. The pricing was wrong on the main page even if I was logged in. I had to go to my account and select "complete my bundle" or some such. The CSR said they were aware of the issue. Guess maybe it is still wonky. -
Me too. I have not even loaded it in the DAW yet. I couldn't stop poking around in Unify standalone.

Rhythmizer 2.1 is a lot of MIDI generating fun for 15 Euros. Primarily techno/trance, but a surprising amount of flexability. Sale ends "Monday at midnight". https://www.futurephonic.co.uk/

This sounds amazing. This is an 11 gig pack that requires Unify. $49 until May 7, then $89 https://www.pluginguru.com/products/ambient-dreams/

https://marketplace.tracktion.com/dawesome-chop-suey.html $44.50 At Tracktion. Think I will wait and see if JRR picks this up. There is a countdown on the main page ATM that shows 8 days remaining, but my email said that the sale ends "March 30". ? I will guess April 30 is intended, based on the timer. And... JRR now has it for $37.38 code "group" ?

Drat! I missed a couple ?

My price is $269 and I own three Eventide plugs that I paid $29 each for, plus two freebies. I also do have Equivocate (Free) and Generate ($40), but since those are not part of the Eventide bundle, so I don't know if they "count" for a discount. Interesting that during the last sale, my price was still $269 but I bought "Shimmer" for $29 and the bundle price is still the same. I still don't think there is enough for me to make use of for the bundle, so I was happy to pick up the single.

Keep em coming @cclarry Over the past few months thanks to this forum my subscription pushed from November '23 to January '24 ? I actually did get the email for this one.
-
Awesome @FatBlimp ! I looked at Best Service before I posted and couldn't even find "Latin Pop". I will keep this in mind if future weekend sales strike my fancy. BTW I got a Toontrack update for EZ Keys MIDI in their installer too.

Do any resellers carry these weekend deals for another buck off or so?

? HoRNet Butterfly Version 1.0.5 Update Now Available!
Brian Lawler replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
It seems to work OK on Studio One (only tried the VST3), but I still think it is a CPU hog. Maybe not bad on the master bus as a single instance, which I think is how it is promoted, but I wouldn't use it on tracks. I compared the compressor to Melda, Presonus, and a few IKM and they were all much easier on the CPU. Hornet said last year that the CPU would not be used by disabled features, so I only had the compressor turned on in Butterfly. -

Saverio makes some nice plug-ins, but he really painted himself into a corner with the constant sales. May as well set the regular prices to "old price x .2" and start over. -

I was using Studio One 3.x until 5.0. At that time, I built a new PC and it just did not perform well with my system. I made a test with five tracks (VSTi) that bogged it down to crackles. I switched to Cakewalk. Cakewalk was happy with my CPU, but I felt it lacked the polish of Studio One. I missed the chord track a lot (analyzing audio and extracting the chords), the ease of arrangement and marker fiddling, and especially had difficulty getting some of my MIDI controllers to work with it. Several months later later I tried Studio One again- maybe 5.2 by then? They fixed compatibility with my system and I loaded the problem 5 track project, duplicated it up to 25 tracks, and S1 still had headroom to spare on the CPU. I still rock between Bitwig and Studio One. I love em' both.

Cinesamples Musio Lifetime Access 499$ (50% off) - Extended sale
Brian Lawler replied to Yan Filiatrault's topic in Deals
There is a hot thread over on VI (500+ posts in four days ?) if you want to read a few opinions. I admit that I fell for the FOMO as far as my concern that they might actually limit the deal to 100 sales. Now that you know it is good at least for another week, you can make a more informed decision by running the free Musio demo (full featured 14 days). I did run the demo and am pretty happy with what they have so far, but I did base my buy decision on their promise to include all of their current sample content , and implement keyswitch articulation. The company rep in the megathread did warn that some functionality that relies on extensive Kontakt scripting, like the phrase builder in Voxos Choir might never make it to Musio. -
Cinesamples Musio Lifetime Access 499$ (50% off) - Extended sale
Brian Lawler replied to Yan Filiatrault's topic in Deals
I bit too. I don't own any Cinesamples libraries, so I will be happy with the value even if they only port most the existing Kontakt stuff. I was a bit tempted by the "glitch" last week, but am glad I held off. So far the Musio player is working well for me on Windows. I can't believe they are holding to 100 sales though. FOMO works too well.
