Adding a new part to a project with audio and midi
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Leander's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Hmmm. Agreed on Session Drummer, but according to my spreadsheet, Studio Instruments came along with X1, not before. -
envelope automation nodes and clip question
Bristol_Jonesey replied to micv's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Are you editing automation nodes from the Automation Lane or directly in the Track? -
It's not at all clear from your video what it is you're adjusting in order to change the volume Presumably you're talking about Track 23? The one with record enabled? If you're mixing, switch that OFF The red highlighted waveform seems to be overwriting something on that track. Is this what you're expecting?

Adding a new part to a project with audio and midi
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Leander's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
That's one way. And if the OP does decide to do this, you MUST turn Ripple Edit OFF when you've done Amore benign way to do this is simple Position the Now Time cursor where you want measures inserted From the Project Menu > Insert Time/Measures That's it -
When you import a FLAC file into Cakewalk, it will automatically convert it to a WAV file using the project's sample rate and bit depth. Cakewalk handles this conversion to ensure the audio is compatible with its internal processing. Key behaviours Automatic conversion: Cakewalk converts all imported audio, including FLAC, to the project's native WAV format. Sample rate adjustment: The FLAC file will be converted to match the project's current sample rate, as set in Edit > Preferences > Audio - Driver Settings. Bit depth handling: The bit depth is retained from the original file during the conversion process.

[Solved] Pro-Channel Plugin Question
Bristol_Jonesey replied to thegaltieribrothers's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
The effect of these emulators is cumulative and you won't hear their full effect unless they're on every track and bus. Listening to a single one in isolation is utter pointless. -
Am I missing any ProChannel modules?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Do It Again's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
There were a few other modules from Softube but these were always paid add-ons and I believe they are now discontinued -

Anyone know of a decent, cheapish Minimoog vst? I've done a search but there appear to be loads available, at wildly differing price points

Set the Dry to -Inf (all the way to the left) Reverb at 0.0dB E.R. blend to taste in accordance with the mix, but probably never as high as 0dB

Recording from Line 6 Helix LT sums to mono in Sonar CW
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Matt Rowson's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
The driver listed above is ASIO4ALL, not ASIO. Go on the Helix website and see if they offer a true ASIO driver. -

Using Sonar for recording and playback
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Forlænget Spilletid's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
No. Where are the OUTPUTS of your tracks being routed. First step to analyse this sort of problem is to eliminate you mixer from the equation. Have you routed them to your master output or straight to the main outs? What are the fader levels on your mains? -
core gate "Pops and crackles" in the Core Gate in Sonar?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Edward Allen's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I don't have the Nova on my system so naturally, these were disabled during playback. -
Using Sonar for recording and playback
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Forlænget Spilletid's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
What do you mean by "all tracks are coming back with a LOT more input."? Do you mean they appear louder than you were expecting? Because the levels as shown above seem a bit on the low side. Also, I would switch off all of those record enableds before playing back -
core gate "Pops and crackles" in the Core Gate in Sonar?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Edward Allen's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I left the gate controls exactly who you had them set. By monitoring chain, I mean how are your sounds getting from Sonar to the outside world? What are you using for an interface What driver mode are you using Are you using headphones or studio monitors What Fx are on your master buss -
core gate "Pops and crackles" in the Core Gate in Sonar?
Bristol_Jonesey replied to Edward Allen's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I've downloaded all your files and cannot a hear a single snap or pop on any of the tom tracks, with or without the gate switched on for each tom. So the question is, what is your monitoring chain? -
