  1. I imagine most people use different drum plugins for different things I mean I have AD2 - Captain Beats - 808 Studio - Kick 2 - Loopcloud Drums - Spark - Stylus RMX - XO...then a bunch of Kontakt stuff like Damage, GGD etc All pretty different - all useful for different genres.
  2. I have never been offended by anyone in my life because there is nothing they could say that would ever bother me
  3. I mean look how far I would need to scroll to reach Waves VEQ ??? and mine are pretty organised
  4. I know so I used 8.5 for a decade which has no Browser. It's fine in 2001 when you've got 100 plugins...20 years later it's not really much use
  5. You must have a hellishly low resolution set on your mouse
  6. Not when it's buried 700 plugins away
  7. Which is exactly what the browser is ......
  8. Nothing crazy. 2 x 24" - only about £100 each these days I doubt there's any CPU Ram implications of having the browser open, it's probably open in the background anyway even if you've hidden it....I mean you can even float the smegging thing wherever you want and use the B shortcut to bring it up.
  9. Stating Facts. It's quicker. One keypress (b) to open / close the browser and for instruments you can double click and not drag to insert them. If I had to use the old menu I doubt I could be arsed to use my Zynaptique plugins . Jesus.
  10. Browser is way quicker if you have a lot of plugins
  11. That's gonna be one boring track if it repeats the same loop 100 times
  12. So is there no Humanise function baked into Cakewalk ? Surely it can't be too difficult - I've never got on well with the CAL script I have tried either
  13. I know put it pops back out again all the while - You can't have it permanently skinny like it used to be
  14. You are correct about the search field only returning the plugin name which seems logical to me as you can already sort by plugin Manufacturer and find stuff that way if you prefer, personally tend to remember the plugin name more than I do the manufacturer so I guess for now you would have to rename them all for it to work the way you want.
  15. Fair enough. I probably felt the same at first but once I got used to it I could never go back to the old right click-insert method. My EQ one is insanely long ! Have you ever tried Reaper...I have it as a 2nd DAW just in case and I hate the way it lays out my plugins
  16. I don't really have to scroll and it says I've got 715 plugins but I suspect some of those are old 32bit dupes I should have zapped but I've organised them all into my own folders. I'm with you on Track view real estate - I don't like the double sized Inspector and wish I could put it back the way it used to be. But I keep the Browser open as I find it so much quicker to do a text search for a plugin than the old method..and if you have it docked on the left it's not very far to drag ! Shortcut B opens and closes it...or I have a macro on my Streamdeck that closes both the Inspector and Browser with one key
  17. Do you not use the FX Browser then ? I've not used the old method since about 8.5 ...10 yrs ?
