  1. Yeah just enable/disable for most so they can be activated/deactivated during transport for spots along the track that don't need or want the effect. Not very often this is needed so not a big deal.
  2. Would be cool if your FX could be automated. At least Enable/Disable. Even Cake's MIDI FX aren't. If they are I don't see a way to do it.
  3. Good to know since I think Melodyne ARA uses VST3. Obviously I can use Melodyne standalone outside Sonar but only when necessary. Currently I avoid VST3 if 2 is available, and I keep all included plugins installed so older projects load correctly. This question arose when revisiting an old X1 project. It's getting harder for older Sonars to operate correctly so I migrate projects to CbB when feasible.
  4. Thanks. Wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong. Looks like it wasn't offered until X3 which had ARA (1).
  5. Was Melodyne not a region FX in X1 & 2? It's in the Plugin Manager and I can insert it in the FX Bin but there's no "Region FX" listing in the top menu or clip right-click menu. Only V-Vocal.
  6. Mine is the same as listed on the website. Curious how yours looks newer than the "Latest" one.
  7. He scrolled all the way to the end of the page. You probably meant the 1st one labeled "Latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Version" The latest version is 14.40.33816.0
  8. So what you're saying is the drum pane is a pain?.... wait, is that a drum stick??? Mmmmmm

    I need help

Some real and virtual synths respond to chorus and reverb at the top of Inspector MIDI strip. For some reason Cake's SI instruments weren't made for that.

    I need help

Cakewalk comes with Delay/Echo (mono) and Sonitus Delay. Right-click the SI Bass FX Rack and select Insert Audio FX.

    No Bug

    Error operator
  12. I have an empty port on the MIDI interface I label and use as NONE for this reason. Not that it's an anomaly, but there are occasions when Cakewalk will randomly assign all inputs at once, or maybe 3 out of 5 available prompting me to physically check each and every track input before using them.
  13. My guess is your RealTek soundcard doesn't support surround.
  14. Reinstalling any program should not affect the files/projects made by them. It's always good to have backups of them for other reasons tho.
  15. "In my thirty FIVE years of using Cakewalk I have also never run into this." - one forum user "In my 35 years I have encountered this issue many times, and it's come up on the forum many more times." - another forum user Whether you do or don't seems a regular consensus on this forum and pretty well sums up Life with Cakewalk... or life with computer. Anomalies can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere, and for anyreason. Not to brag but I have a 100 page memoir to prove it. If there's something wonky going on under the hood or with your routine, seems Cakewalk will be one of the 1st to protest. ...I'm usually the 2nd.
  16. "Too much information"?? Many of these pages come up in a Google search and not always clear to the viewer which ones are current or defunct. Even gaga.cakewalk and taylor.cakewalk pages still come up on occasion adding to the confusion. The last page shown above stating "We're sorry, this part of our website is currently undergoing maintenance" is misleading and only leads to confusion and frustrated forum posts like this one.
  17. 1. Right-click your desktop 2. Select Display settings at bottom of list Do you see 2 screens? If so, how are they oriented and are you dragging to #2 in that direction? - you can change the orientation by dragging #2 around #1 - if you don't see 2 screens then you haven't set them up 3. Scroll down Multiple displays and check that Extend these displays is selected
  18. Workspaces?? You can hit "F" or "Shift+F" to bring it all home or make a Custom Module button for it.
  19. In my case it didn't create artifacts but actually damaged and distorted the wave form. I figure some algorithms have trouble "crunching" the numbers accurately when shrinking short clips like this one.
  20. Thanks Mark. This is a 4 sec clip shrunk 65.25%. Radius worked but I would expect none of them to ruin it.
  21. Don't know what "round" means but themes for Cakewalk by BandLab can be found in the Forums > Community > Content > UI Themes forum.
  22. This will bypass the entire PC rack even if some modules in the rack are left "ON".
