  1. Is it me or is something goofy with Forum Software dating? 3 months... or 4? 1 month... or 1 year 4 months? 1 month... or 3?
  2. I'm not aware of any CbB themes that can change menu colors so I'm curious how you did that.
  3. Media Browser. Use the arrow button to navigate your drives. Click on files to audition. Drag files directly to Track View:
  4. Curious why not use groove clip looping? Once you snap the original (bounced) clip's ends at the right places just drag it out as far as you need helps avoid that issue.
  5. Are those backwards? My CbB doesn't have a black menu but I know Sonar does.
  6. Some of us don't need a GM synth or play MIDI files. In 25 years I've never used one.
  7. pssst... no one uses screensets.
  8. If you have a lot of tracks, using F or Shift+F will compact everything as tightly as possible.
  9. If you're using CbB and have the 64 bit version installed, it should load as is without dxshell. If you only have the 32 bit version installed, it won't work in CbB. If you have 64 bit SONAR Platinum or earlier installers you can install the synth w/o installing SONAR. If you're trying to use it in other DAWs, check that they can load DX plugins as some don't.
  10. Funny thing is it (v4) has been opening right up in 32 bit SPlat.
  11. But only if you have Cake Pro Audio 9 or earlier... right?
  12. Maybe I misunderstand but other than 1 or 2 they all seem to be hardware specific, of which I have none.
  13. Since none of these work with my hardware they are of no use at all unless I can make my own, tho I've read creation required a bit more technical skill than the average person has. A good idea that could have gone farther had it been thought thru better? Kinda like dangling a carrot just out of reach.
  14. 12 years too late and yes there's one when you click on the dropdown menu, but would be much useful to see one on the module number for an immediately obvious reminder like a lock icon or colored border:
  15. My default is to have nothing selected. But thanks for kicking me in the head to look at settings. I found Snap To Nearest Audio Zero Crossings was checked. My screenshot proves this was the "culprit". It's the little Per Project settings that get you and why they only happen "occasionally".
  16. In some projects Snap refuses to work properly. Every now and then clips refuse to split or move at the proper Snap To location no matter what snap resolution I select: Example: Split at 75:01:000 with snap resolution of 1/16 results in: When this happens I have to disable Snap and drag clip ends manually.
  17. Yup. This entry does appear when an audio clip is converted to MIDI thru Melodyne so maybe it happened by mistake.
  18. Visible in Track View. Nothing in PRV. Event List shows Melodyne text entry??? This was not an audio to MIDI conversion track. Don't even know what the text is. Bouncing the clip did not remove it but when I isolated that section to a new track and bounced it, the entire clip disappeared. MIDI clip has no name but I was using Melodyne quite a bit on the audio tracks below it.
  19. We can copy clips but not entire tracks as-is between projects. This means carrying over Input & Output data along with whatever synths, plugins, and automation reside there... which could make one more way for Cake to crash if things weren't quite right.
  20. Many ways to skin cat... poor cat.
  21. Or maybe click-n-drag the entire track from the track header to another open project like clips can do already.
  22. Things like this mostly protect/control/hinder your access to stuff... not the stuff itself or professional hackers who want it. My phone has finger print access but too often tells me I've exceeded the allowed number of attempts when I never even touched it.
  23. "Looks like" a video driver conflict or a corrupt project. If you're on default Workspace try opening in Safe Mode removing all plugins to eliminate them as the cause. If it goes away, bring them back one-by-one until it happens again. If it still happens with no plugins then it's something else. If you need to rebuild the project you can drag all the clips to a new project.
  24. Probably the closest thing to a snap but you have to watch the left hand gage closely to maintain the same value. Would be a smashing good bit of werk flow if we could hold Shift or some such while using the draw tool to maintain the same value across the sweep. Still, you can select all the notes and simply enter the value in Event Module, tho you may have to zero them all first.
