Thanks, I will give it a try. It would be good to get the FM modules.

I realized after I bought Polymòod that this would have been a far better option. Too much haste!

The update to 6.4.1 has just appeared in my Native Access. Downloading now!

I have regular Komplete. I see nothing compelling in the upgrade, there are a few "nice to have" items to be sure, I see Butch Vig Drums, Noir and Super 8 that catch my eye. I am not sure whats new in the play series and the expansions as I rarely use them. But nothing that can't wait to the highly likely half price sale next year.

Good thing about the Polymood, the Juno 60 and the ARP voices is they can just be loaded in modular and used like a normal VSTi without getting down a dirty with patch chords. I grabbed Polymood and it sounds pretty good using the presets straight out of the box. But if you want you can patch them up with other modules and get pretty wild.

It was working fine for me yesterday, I wonder what will happen when I start up later.

A few more things are on sale than just the bundles on that link. The Polymode looks intresting for $15. Basically a Polymoog emulation in modular form so you can use it as is or use the modules in other patches.

Full Bucket Music has released Fury-800 v2.0.1
Vernon Barnes replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
One of the better free VSTi developers IMHO. I have a real Poly 800 but it's a bit poorly so having the emulation is nice and I will be updating tomorrow. The VSTi is a nightmare to program, just like the real thing. -
Well, it made it. Only 1226 to the next level.

'tis all over the shop, a moment ago it sad 1 more needed. I will check again after lunch.

It hard envisage it reaching the top level even with a month extension, I wonder how many potential punters are yet to come out of the woodwork. One question I have not seen asked is can one sign up twice?
-
Ha, £60 is the catch. I saw the email earlier and was going to look into later. I shall pass.

EZBass is a lot EZer in Cakewalk than it is in Studio One where you can't drag MIDI or audio from a track in the DAW. I thought I was doing something wrong but a thread on the Toontrack forum confirmed this is the case.

Seems like this is aimed a very different market to their previous "Drummer" series for Kontakt. I am not sure what to think about the direction of the Play series, a little bit geared to instant gratification at the expense of versatility?? I hope the next iteration of Komplete offers a little more than new Play series instrument and the expansion pack they seem to be favoring of late. I had a quick scan through the manual and it does not look like individual drums can be output to separate audio channels, but I guess that is all about ready mixed and if the demos are anything to go by that is something it does quite well.

Backup space is certainly a major consideration and one that has been a factor in not going for ST4. I have three sample drives, two of which I image in their entirety. The third houses my EW Composer Cloud libraries, ST3 and Syntronic. The EW stuff is massive but I could download it again any time if required so I am not imaging the disk at the moment. I have the IK archived install files if disaster strikes. But Ideally I would also like to image this disk for speedy recovery. I am toying with the idea of a 12 TB backup drive at some point.

Kontakt programming, scripting and macros.
Vernon Barnes replied to Max Arwood's topic in Instruments & Effects
One only has to look at some of the third party content to get an idea of what is possible. I am always somewhat amused when someone comments on a sophisticated Kontakt instrument " If they would just use WAV files I could use them in xyz" I have never got beyond mapping samples to keys and velocity layers. -
The count seemed to be struggling to reach 3 free, let alone the top tier. I wonder if there will be an extension or another sweater?

Got a six pack from Best Service, £85, less my loyalty points, seemed the best way to get this. Might get the West Coast now I have the serials

Yes, it works now I switched AutoZoom off

OK, The problems occurred with both Kontakt and Superior Drummer. Screenshots and minidump here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CIMEBe0lnlYpMSMCKCDK1HZML04dLpCN/view?usp=sharing @scook No new thread created.

As I have never used Instrument tracks before I have not looked at "Instrument Track Per Output" so I just tried it. For me it crashes regardless of the Stereo Audio Output" or "Mono Audio Output" settings. With one of them checked I get a fatal error just after the tracks are created. With none checked it does not even get that far. Crash when using the first options - Module Cakewalk.exe - Exception code c0000005 I think I will start another thread about this error. Not a show stopper for me as I will continue as i have always done using MIDI + Audio tracks.

Looks interesting.

Now I am at my DAW I tried inserting an instance of Kontakt 6 with the limit set to 8 and 4 in both cases I got 32 tracks replicating what you are seeing. I also tried this with EastWest Play and Toontrack Superior Drummer got a similar results, I had not noticed this option before, if it worked it would be very useful.

What version of Kontakt? Up to version 5 there were separate dll for different output numbers.
