  1. I finally stopped procrastinating and bought it while this deal is on. The VSTi is very nice, I have plenty of other option though and usually gravitate to GForce's Minimonsta so how much it will be used in this format remains to be seen. What particularly interested me is the ability to use the modules in Modular. This seems to have a lot of potential. The oscillators, filter and envelope all differ quite a bit from the ones I already have in Modular I have been having fun with a combination of the Rubicon oscillator and the Moog filter. I also set up a 4 VCO Minimoog like setup. Substituting the Moog envelope generator lets you Moog filters and oscillators with a full ADSR envelop (or two).
  2. Just a head up that software vendors may suspend trade to the UK for a period over the new year due to the end of the BREXIT transition. I have already received notification from Softube and Rhythmic Robot . (and in another sector a Portuguese a wine merchant I have been using). This should only be a temporary measure while new tax regimes are implemented but if there are any deals you have your eye on it may be an idea to act quickly.
  3. Presonus Sphere. I know a lot people don't like subscriptions but I am quite pleased with this, Studio One, Notion and a bunch of extras.
  4. The Cherry is a great synth for the price. The Roland has an extra envelope generator which is handy but its not six times better IMHO. The 106 is a pretty basic synth but it sounds good and of course the simplicity means its a sinch to program.
  5. I don't have Ableton, but I have a few Dulcimers, two acoustic and two electric. Maybe I should make a "cinematic" dulcimer ?
  6. Z3TA is a very capable synth that I originally tended to overlook because of the EDM heavy leanings of presets. If you get down and dirty with the programming it has incredible potential that few others match.
  7. Intresting, I wonder what's different? do you have the last round of Arturia updates installed?
  8. For a while when I insert a Arturia synth in Cakewalk I get an Injection Process warning which appears to be related to the licensing process. I have chosen to ignore the warning and load the synths. Today there was a update to NI Komplete Kontrol. After the update KK stand alone hung when trying to scan the Arturia synths. I tried adding Arturia Software Center and Agent to the exclusion list to no avail. With Acronis Protection turned off the scan ran without issues. I turned it back on and restarted Komplet Kontrol, this time it started normally. As the Arturia Synths have recently been updated it could be that this was the reason and not the KK update? The Arturia synths are now loading in Cakewalk with out the injection warning, this is probably as the Arturia Software Center and Agent are new in Arturias exclusion list. .
  9. I have suspicions this may be related to Acronis Protection. Since a recent update I have had a "injection process" warning starting Arturia synths from Acronis. This may be whats causing the scan issue. Nothing has cropped up on the NI forum yet about a similar problem. I have now turned off Acronis Protection and the scan seems to be running normally.
  10. Just linking this thread as I am having problems after the update.
  11. Well Larry was always going to be first, but I have edited my post as there seems to a problem, at least on my DAW.
  12. 2.5.1(R2) Must have been released in the past few days, I saw it in Native Access today. It seems to be taking a very long time to scan VSTs. Holdups seem to be on Arturia synths. I am minded to stop it and let it run overnight at this rate. EDIT - It just seems to hang on Arturia Matrix 12 V2 for a couple of hours. Has anyone else had this issue? I would warn against upgrading just yet.
  13. Got mine and picked the Post Rock Guitar which is very nice. I am beginning to quite like Strum GS2, I prefer the sound of the OTS and Amplesound guitars but Strum is nice and immediate, particularly the chord detection and a good writing tool. I think I may pickup one or two other expansions while the $19 sale is on.
  14. I assume this means that they are NKS compatible? Is that new, often NI has a sale when a manufacturer adopts NKS.
  15. This used to be my goto. When Magix took over I suffered a string of authorisation issues as it was a legacy product. In the end I gave up and reclaimed the disc space. It was being overtaken by my growing Kontakt collection in any case. The Candy saxophones were particularly good and I miss them. The basses were also very good. The rest are reasonable workhorse type sounds. It was reasonably straight forward to load your own samples and map them on the keyboard. I assume authorisation problems wont occur buying direct from Magix. Worth considering at these prices if you need more bread and butter sounds.
  16. I just have the drums and some expansions that bundled. I have considered removing them but I am keeping them, for now, " just in case". There are some nice kit in there but the authorisation thing does not give one confidence.
  17. I wonder if this means they have fixed the authorisation system so it's not broken by Windows updates?
  18. I like the old Sampletekk Estonia grand a lot ( I think its discontinued.) Not deeply sampled and basic interface and features but a wonderful tone. So this one has my curiosity going
  19. The Mellotron finally updated through ASC. It is now full NKS compatible including sound previews!
  20. Just installed analog Lab 5 and the updates to version 7All seems to be well. The Mellotron however is suffering with download failures in ASC, if it does not resolve its self I will do a manual download tomorrow. 12000+ presets showing in Analog Lab 5. Seriously 12K? It would be quicker to learn to program the synths than audition that lot! Fortunately the browser has decent selection filters. Some warnings about the new effects and if you save a preset it may not backwards compatible.
  21. Got it. Edit. Registered and installed apparently successfully in Native Access but its not showing in the Kontakt libraries tab. It loads from the file menu. Further investigation required. On a very quick preview it sounds very good and could be more useful than I thought. I probably would not have bought it but I think I may use it,
  22. I suspect a change in the preset format has happend ( to incorporate new features ?????) When they went from 3 to 4 (I think) they released a small program that converted to old presets for use in the new version. It seems a bit confusing at the moment what's happening. I would be more concerned if the older presets were no longer useable in the individual synths, which also happend when the format changed.
  23. I am having trouble getting Software Centre to log on at the moment. Does anyone know if the new versions of the Jupiter 8 and Rhodes available if you remain on version 7? If they follow previous practice they would be. The Emulator is the main point of interest as far as I can see. The Juno 60, well I have the Cherry DCO160 so nothing too compelling there and I already have the OBx. Patch Points may be interesting if its more than a collection of presets.
  24. Uninstalled and reinstalled and was still unable to connect. It appears that Windows firewall may have been blocking Softube central. I added it to the allowed list and its all working fine. It was never a problem before.
  25. Thanks, I think the pro-channel support is probably gone for ever. Something weird is happening here at the moment, I manually updated Central but it can't connect. I will do what the error message says and try later. There are some glitches on my Internet connection today, so it may be that.
