  1. Superior too!
  2. I am fighting GAS here, I have electric piano VSTs and libraries coming out of my ears including some very good ones but somehow that Rhodes Anthology is tempting me. Must resist!
  3. This is an interesting new synth from GForce. They are better known for their classic synth emulations but here they have struck out into new territory. I didn't really warm to there earlier "new" synth Halogen FM's user interface and decided to pass but I like what they have here. I am still demo-ing and deciding but it seems well thought out. There are a number of modules like Oscillator, Filter, Time, Colour etc. Each has its own pre-sets making quite radical changes to the global pre-sets possible in a couple of clicks. It appears that saving your setting in a module as a user pre-set is possible. The factory pre-sets seems to show a lot of potential for unique sounds. https://www.gforcesoftware.com/products/map/

  4. I have the Sonic Pass sub so I downloaded it last night. I only had time for quick run through some of the presets. First impressions are it sounds good, there is a faur bit of variaty and importantly will be useful.
  5. Mmmm. I quite fancied this one but the price was too high. Even now it's not cheap but it's a awful lot of synth for the money. Tempted.
  6. I think Amplesound has more potential if you can get to grips with riffer but you have to be able to think like a guitarist to get the best from it. Both sound good, preferences depend on the individual guitars.
  7. I have not seen one of them sampled before, it looks interesting.
  8. My first reaction was "another two oscillator mono synth" but having watched Tim Shoebridge's intro video and trying the demo I decided it has a lot of potential and bought it from JRR. The two signal paths open up a lot of options particularly with the envelope filter effect in FX section.
  9. Yeah, I bought the D50 last week, it's nice and unlike other synths I have. The others are not on my "to get" list but I would have probably gone for the bundle at the JRR price if I had waited.
  10. Alternatively https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/7-Drum-Machine/15360-TR-808
  11. Looks like I can get it for $79 by upgrading my complete bundle. And I have some orange slices to bring it down further.
  12. Good price for a versatile synth, but beware, you will be tempted to add more modules.
  13. I don't think anyone's music has meant so much to me over the past 50+ years than as Dave Cousins, front man and primary song writer of the Strawbs who sadly died last week. RIP Dave and thanks for all the music. https://www.strawbsweb.co.uk/index0.asp
  14. Don't think I would pay full price, but I have the email and I am tempted.
  15. The only one I don't have is the Americana Autoharp, so I have signed up with that
  16. All individual Pianverse instruments are 29 Euros on IK's website. I bought a couple recently.
  17. I have not had an extensive play with it yet but on first impressions the instruments are better but you don't get the World Traveller stuff.
  18. Installed. (I have the sub). There are some nice sounds in there on a quick run through.
  19. Spaces is a goto for me, by far my most used reverb. Ghost Writer was the library that temped me to try the Composer Cloud sub. While it's very good I can't say it gets much use here. I came for Ghost Writer and stayed for the orchestras, choirs and pianos.
  20. I will watch you video later, I have installed it from my CC sub and had a quick look and there is certainly more to it than meets the eye.
  21. Downloading now. Larry beat the notification from Composer Cloud which has still not arrived. I am not sure I will find much use for this one, but I will keep an open mind.
  22. That is a deal! I know some people are totally anti sub but this gives you access to a massive sound pallet. I have found libraries I would not have considered to be the most useful.
  23. I installed 4.0 with the new browser and tags last week so probably not the "something big" they were teasing. For me the best thing about the new browser is it gets rid of the long time it was taking to load the library menu. The NKS style audio previews are pretty handy too.
  24. Well this update is a real PITA. After jumping through several hoops, despite migrating settings it needs content locations to be added manually and everything to be rescanned which took an age. It seems to be working OK once installed but I have not given it an extensive test. 90% of my drum work is in Toontrack these days and I don't see much to tempt me back to using BFD more.
  25. I will probably upgrade, but having to upgrade the voice will push the cost up a bit. I will have to investigate further. While don't envisage using it for a final vocal part I find it a valuable tool when writing and creating a guide vocal to send to a singer. Hopefully the new version will remove some of the clunkyness.
