  1. I'm wondering about the Albion Legacy
  2. Multiple clicks to find out how much something costs - not a fan
  3. I'm done (yeah right) with buying more libraries. I tend to value the not go with the flow opinions.
  4. Well it hasn't worked on me so far. I can never really afford their libraries. The plus on these sales is they are their Kontakt instruments. Meanwhile I've been collecting VSL in small doses.
  5. Wow! At those prices, I'll be hoarding.
  6. Not sure how they do that. I know both them an Seagate have been sued before. I buy WD almost exclusively since their RMA is hassle free. Their HDDs are great. I still have Blue and Black drives that I now use with a drive dock.
  7. I was curious about some of the stock sounds. I've not explored Max. After using Kontakt the ST browser drives me crazy. I keep my ST sounds on a HDD and they load fine. They also have where you can create your own libraries.
  8. You will have to share what sounds you like. There are not may heavy Sampletank users.
  9. Studio One is one of the easier DAWs to transition to from Sonar. I might need to get a couple more SSDs for my other two systems.
  10. Usually the good deals for me is with Sweetwater financing. I got the Cubase upgrade, Studio One upgrade for $3 each for 36 months. If my internet went out there wouldn't be more hoarding. Then you could work with what you but most likely you'll find out how much software needs to be connected.
  11. Sometimes maintaining excellence suffers from trying to be innovative. I imagine small developers do it as a hobby and not a livelihood. I thought being a professional bass tournament fisherman would be great but then it turns into work.
  12. It's a chore running a DAW. I know I could do it myself but Sound Factory needs a stand alone app.
  13. I prefer to go to the developer's site 1st for more detailed information, then go to vendors.
  14. So who has it? I'm trying to keep this back on topic sort of.
  15. They are no longer in the DAW development business. I forget what they are doing now.
  16. I'm into bland GUIs. I think it's easier when they are similar. Melda is like the Reaper of plugins. They are complexed.
  17. The beauty of Hornet is there is no installer. Unfortunately every DAW is turning into Garage Band
  18. I was surprised someone brought it up. I didn't care for it either.
  19. Izotope offers just don't tempt me. I had the Music Production Suite but their loyalty offers are confusing or they aren't in my world of loyalty. Reason Studios - crank out REs but don't really improve the DAW to match others Latest PA sale - meh is an understatment It seems the good days are gone when companies get taken over or product line sold to a bigger company. Magix is another one after taking over Vegas, Soundforge, and Acid. They basically change the paint. I think they got rid of the original crew. Steinberg I guess got better. No more dongle and 3 authorizations. Now that there will be a new Sonar there's is as much panic as there is joy. The first fear is the sub model.
  20. So did anyone upgrade that bombastic orchestra to the new version yet? I think the upgrade to the super duper version is about $50.
  21. It's suppose to be that way. It's like those $99 guitar packages that came with a guitar, bag, and amp - and labeled made by Fender. It's an amateur package. I remember first getting into Gigastudio 2. You basically got the app and some watered down demos. I couldn't afford any of those libraries and my first one was Kirk Hunter's Diamond and GOS Lite. I was thrilled when Kontakt 2 came out and bundled with a whole orchestra. They are basically for amateurs.
  22. I see the Refill bundle is still for sale. He also has some libraries for FL's Direct Wave.
