I enjoyed it actually. I wish it were back in the day when black Friday deals were actually on Friday and this happened. I'd be forced to use what I have. That is a strange concept for me.

Straight Ahead Samples [NEW RELEASES] Tuba + Guitar!
kitekrazy1 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I'm a tuba player and liked the demo. It's not a one size fits all library. There's a lot of edge on the low end that makes it unsuitable for different styles. I guess it would be fine if you wanted to create music like on those Mexican stations. -
Sonokinetic 12 Days Of Christmas Call To Sign Up
kitekrazy1 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
We get real giddy over free. I've never really used their stuff. The world wont end if I fail to get one of their freebies which I most likely have. Sometimes I think phrase based apps are more difficult to work with than doing your own thing. -
Cinematic Hits Bundle by BOOM Library for $20 USD! FREE
kitekrazy1 replied to satya's topic in Deals
That worked. I will have to eventually buy something someday. -
If you upgrade I think you should turn you Deals badge in, Another knock against Waves is if you do an upgrade it nulls the previous license. I know that's the point of upgrades but with so many developers they still let yu use the previous license on another system.

? FREE Half-Life on Steam for a limited time! (expired)
kitekrazy1 replied to Lamia6's topic in Deals
These games also have plenty of mods. https://www.moddb.com/ Unfortunately the recent Half-Life requires "gaming goggles" which I will never support. -
I got the Century String bundle for $50 since I had two of them. Too bad I don't hoard drives to fit these libraries. Then I would need a board with 10 SATA ports. I prefer more smaller drives over too many eggs in a basket.

Boz Digital Labs launches New York L virtual piano and other deal
kitekrazy1 replied to satya's topic in Deals
Who is the company were their pianos are sample modeled? That would be the way to go. If you have Kontakt you can collect those Sampletekk pianos for less than this. -
No. 1 one for iLok and another for machine authorization.

EastWest Composer Cloud 1-Year Subscription $149:
kitekrazy1 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
So the upgrade is $199. Tempted but it requires lots of drive space. I guess the sub would be worth it to trial all of their libraries. -
Not a deal. It's a raffle. Deals is pay for something and get something in return.
-
Sampler and other instruments are meh if you have Kontakt. I've deleted most of that content Sampler has never been updated. Max4Live is well worth it. Plenty of free Max devices. Song Sketch is a favorite of mine.
-
Mine is learn the stuff I already have. So far with recent acquisitions it's a major fail.
-
These are not deals. Hopefully no one gets into the habit of posting drawings.

I don't even remember which version I have since I rarely use it. My only beef with Celemony is it overwrites the older version. It has the old school two machine limit. The nice thing is you can put one on iLok and one on a machine. I'd expect a better deal than this for an extra license.

I heard when you close it, it really closes the whole app instead of 2 clicks.
-
What does that mean? I guess all of my DAWs coexist. Live differs in having less screen real estate working in midi. There is no separate window for midi like other DAWs. You resize all of your work areas. Suite offers more instruments. They only plus I find for the Suite is Max4Live whee you can learn to create devices and there are plenty you can buy,

No mention of disk space required either. I'm cautious about such VSTs. -
While SSDs are more affordable I might need another SATA upgrade.
-
BTW support may discount further if you have something in a bundle.
-
Server lag. Must be very popular/
-
My genre is hoarding libraries.
-
Hmmm.... I might go with the Studio Bundle. Never hurts to have more woodwinds. Then again I should sat no since I'll download i, play a few patches, play roulette with my drive space, and forget about it.

BTW the pioneer of lower price sample libraries was Garry Garritan with GPO. Going back to the old Northern Sound Source days, EastWest was banned from the forums for harrassing Gary over his vision. Like how Music Man said there is another market and Komplete often fills that. I think of 8dio more like Squire than Fender. There's a lot better out there if you are not a hobbyist.

Not too many care about what it said above despite I agree 100% The question is for horaders do I go Century Strings or Studio Orchestra. BTW regarding Waves you probably weren't aware around the turn of the century Waves made it to the end user's **** list. There were over 30+ pages on Northern Sound Source of people boycotting Waves. They had to do something. The other one was Pace/iLok where I was getting expensive free stuff just to use iLok. They only way to earn forgiverness is to lower price. Once again and on topic The question is for horaders do I go Century Strings or Studio Orchestra.
