I wouldn't worry about it. EW does not consider it a legacy product. Funny I was almost tempted to buy not a SSD but a 6TB WD Black. I thought I could move some of the hoard off a SSD on to it and move it back when needed. I've removed over 200GB of Kontakt libraries which were free ones. I have not download all of Komplete U either.

The DAW myth. I read some members on VI Control still use this. Someone here said they use it more than the bloated HO. The biggest concern is the space needed for Hollywood Orchestra. How much stuff from Waves is older like Maxx plugins but people still use them. Age is overrated. I'm was watching a thread about a new bloated library people were gushing over. Never mind that unique library eats up over 300gb of space.

Thinking about a 2nd license. I like this one.

Sort of. Can be bloated to EW proportions. I had to delete all of their free stuff to make room. I haven't really learn how to use it yet. You get nice crossgrade price if you have the Kontatk versions. Since I had every string library I ended up with Adastra Strings for $50. I do like Disco Strings. It seems you can tweak a lot of it. You can even make your own libraries.

I have an external USB nvme 2TB drive and for got to format it and almost filled. exfat is not a good idea unless you use Mac as well. I don't. Now I have to start over. Hopefully it is faster.

Hopefully I'm getting a sense of reality with too many sample libraries. Something has to give when you almost max out 7TB of libraries. Getting larger drives is always a solution but then you max out 10TB. I live for the day when developers don't promote bloat is better. The end user can't seem to divorce that idea either. I've cleared over 200GB of Kontakt stuff. Take inventory of how much you really use in Komplete. How much can be run off a HDD? What I liked about some of those Sonokinetic libraries is you can install 16 bit versions.

I have no desire to game in 4K. I'm still using a 1660. I have no desire to upgrade the most overpriced piece of hardware.

90GB? EW and Soundpaint are jealous.

Who told you that? nVidia? Cases are such a crapshoot. I try to keep using the old ones and I still use a 5.25 bay. I still use HDDs for storage.
-
Sometimes I do it for the extra license since I have 3 machines.

It's not the old NI or Izotope we are dealing with. K7 to me was a blemish.
-
Read those updates thoroughly. If you still like using Kontakt 6 some of your libraries won't open.

They price their plugins at 299 Still trying to avoid hoarding free plugins - I rarely download most of them. If i do they go on a storage drive. It seems you can't download directly without their app. This is the one they starts with Windows. It makes sense if you have their hardware. Their Volt 1 is one sale for $139 - I thought about this interface at one time.
-
it was a connection issue. I consider myself an expert by now dealing with NI's failures.
-
This was regrading that I couldn't access any updates.

I'm getting the never ending circle of loading products on Access on 2 machines.

as opposed to 12 different threads? Yes unless you can edit the titles.

It's gonna be a fail as over valued. https://borisfx.com/store/?product=samplitude&host=standalone&purchase-options=us-renewal&single=1 Not bad https://borisfx.com/store/?product=music-studio&host=standalone&purchase-options=us-renewal&single=1 Some of these fail because of lack of how to use them. That was Magix biggest fail. Vegas has their own site. There still seems to be confusion in my world. Soundforge is worth that $45 if you've always used it. It's a previous version. Older versions of Soundforge just work. When companies are bought it's expected the end user pay for them. One of the reasons why I'm an Image Line fanboy is when they bought Melda and UVI they didn't mess with what those companies do. UVI is still iLok. That old Sony code was brilliant. Acid 7 is still in use by some. It's still a decent deal

Last year was something free that wasn't limited. It's like a smaller version of something they sell.

Our BF booty is more often what we don't need but it should go much deeper Such as buying upgrades of products you barely cracked open. Those sample libraries that you are now wondering what to delete or now shopping for external storage. Not to mention bits of hardware. Bought what you already have or have to do an extensive search to make sure. Who is going to be first so I know I'm not alone.

Ever notice most plugins in a DAW never win an eye candy award. I am always attracted to Live's 8bit look. All of those former Sony now Magix, I always want the GUI look like it was 20 years ago.

Hornet - no installer and bland GUI, I love software that is not pretty

Interesting the stuff I buy is not about need but if I like the developer. It's not always about quality.
