  1. Not free as in free beer or free as in freedom, but free as long as you cancel the subscription for the other things in time.
  2. I like the beats! We all have different styles. My mind's ears hear some sections of different layers, such as various mellow, evolving swirling swooshes of different textures. But its your creation. Maybe the ideas from my mind's ears will resonate with your creative impulses; maybe not. Thanks for sharing.
  3. I found this odd considering how many forum members here have mentioned using Cakewalk and the fact that Cakewalk is listed here [see Supported Hosts] and includes "Bandlab" underneath Cakewalk. Maybe the person who did those tests and that page might no longer be there. It even says: "X1 and newer is highly recommended. There were known problems when surround was enabled." Someone at some point evidently wrote that.
  4. I had CbB open, got the toaster pop-up, and did the latest update. It was smooth and seamless. Thanks. I am on Windows 10 Pro PC (21H2; BIOS = 2011).
  5. I don't know the official answer. But, ever since I started with CbB, it has been connected to my Bandlab account. I thought we needed to have a Bandlab account. Back in the days before the in-app updater, I needed to use Bandlab Assistant. Therefore I had to be connected via a Bandlab account. I didn't know that wasn't true for everyone. Plus with recent Cakewalk updates, I can now publish to and download from my Bandlab account. See File > Browse Bandlab and File and File > Publish to Bandlab. I just assumed that the ease of transferring between the two requires synchronization of the accounts. Personally, I have gotten used to the YYYY.MM format (as in 2022.02). Update # 1 seems more user friendly than referring to a build number.
  6. Not sure if it will solve the problem, but might be worth trying to fix. As for a CAL script to help, I defer to others who use them.
  7. The first mashup I ever heard. Go Home Productions "2000 Light Years From Bolan" Rolling Stones-T.Rex . I haven't listened to this in a few years, though. So thanks for the reminder.
  8. Am I misreading your event list? I am seeing duplicated notes. If I am reading that correctly, are the duplicated notes intentional?
  9. Yup. That's what I am afraid of: WWIII, world-wide nuclear destruction (direct and indirect) , fallout, etc. The nuclear weapon threat is totally abhorrent. Musicians of the World Unite!
  10. Maybe Musicians of the World need to lobby the UN to get protected status that transcends geo-political divisions. Kind of like: PS: Feel free to send this statement to the political leaders where you live, but please don't make it political (i.e., favoring one party or another, etc.). Thanks.
  11. That is the unfortunate thing about war. Lots of totally innocent people get hurt. As I used to say to my kids when they were small, "I don't care who started it, it has to stop."
  12. I also saw it at KVR maybe a month or so ago. IIRC it was not for existing products, but for new products though I could be misremembering that. If it was for updating existing products I might have gotten through more than 7/8 of the NDA. UPDATE: Confirmed; new products (at least the notice I saw).
  13. Just my opinion: "The forum" is a collection of individuals. Not all forum members agree on the same things as other forum members. Some individuals come into the forum and automatically assume the frustrations they experience are "caused by" the software (and therefore they "blame" the software). Some individuals come to the forum with the assumption that they did something "wrong" or lack something from their personal knowledge bases. In diagnosing issues and trying to help others solve problems, it is often best to rule out certain things. Some people who reply are more terse than others. If you were to do a content analysis of replies to requests for help making better use of the software, my guess is that you probably would find diversity in the responses. As for me, I usually start from the assumption that I either don't know enough, I missed something, or I did something wrong. We are all different.
  14. Apologies for suggesting something you already tried. I read your posts from Feb 22 about CAL but didn't realize that was the same thing I was suggesting. Now I know.
  15. Bluffmunkey Cinematic Sounds Available for KV331's Synthmaster One. Free for (1) owners of Synthmaster Everything Bundle and (2) owners of SynthMaster One Expansions Bundle. Available for purchase for others. Steps I used that worked for me: Start SynthMaster One. [I used the standalone version on one PC and the plug-in within CbB on another PC.] Click on the BROWSE button [if not already in Browser mode]. On the left side of the UI near the top, select KV331 Audio Store. On the right side of the UI, Right Click in the KV331 Audio Products List. Select Refresh My Licenses and/or Restore My Expansions [might take a while to Restore if you need to do that] Note: On one PC I only had to refresh my licenses; on the other I needed to do both. Needed to wait for purchased expansions to download! Evidently I hadn't done this in a while so I also downloaded and installed the latest version.
  16. I am exploring this problem for myself ATM. With Syntronik 2 SE, I had 104 Generation 1 V-80 Presets and 12 Generation 2 V-80 Presets. I thought I added the "freebie" correctly, but that only added 3 additional Generation 2 V-80 Presets. I looked in a file I unzipped and installed and sure enough, it only contained 3 new ones (for a total of 15, not 38). I have some theories on what might have happened if it is user error (mine). I might not have downloaded, unzipped, and installed everything. Testing now . . . Updated post anticipated . . . BTW, under My Products > Download Resources, the link for SYN2_V-80_SL_Update.zip and SYN2_V-80_SL_Update.dmg are switched. I think I just ran that updater (the unzipped zip file installer). So that might explain why I have 12 + 3 Generation 2 V-80 presets. Maybe! BINGO!!!!! I now have 38. TY abacab!!!!! Not sure if this will help others, but evidently the update file just added 3 Generation 2 presets. With the IKM Product Manager I saw that although I had downloaded the V-80 freebie, I did not Installed it. (The button was grey.) So, I told it to update and now I have the 38 Generation 2 V-80 presets! ?
  17. Thanks for confirming this. If you want to have some fun trying to understand what's going on, take a Generation 2 preset and compare editing it in the Generation 1 editor (the one that simulates a hardware instrument panel) and the Generation 2 editor (what IKM calls the "Edit Panel"). The EDIT button at the bottom of the UI toggles between the two.
  18. Its a long story.** I might have miscounted 104 and its really 102. I like the new Edit Panel and the fact that we have 4 "oscillators" per Generation 2 preset. **For a small part of the story, see this. BTW, I did get past the 500-level errors and all the APD please wait type circles.
  19. TY!!!! SE only has 12 Generation 2 [i.e., fully editable] presets. I will get it if I can get past the 500-level errors. I counted 104 Generation 1 presets. And yes, counting them is silly, but IKM doesn't have a list, just the version comparison numbers.
  20. Thanks for the explanation. That is consistent with what I found over the past couple of weeks. How many Generation 2 presets are there with just with the V-80 Instrument selected? That should tell me if there are more than what I have in Syntronik 2 SE.
  21. If anyone tried these in either Syntronik 2 CS or SE, I would be very interested to know if these are "Generation 2" presets (fully editable in Syntronik 2, including by use of the Edit Panel that opens with the EDIT button at the bottom of the UI). I already have multiple licenses of the Generation 1 presets which cannot be edited with the Syntronik 2 Edit Panel. Thanks.
  22. To me, the free insider stories are a deal. And they break up the monotony of so-called deal after so-called deal. But I can understand if someone disagrees. I'd hate to see this thread have to be closed because it escalates. So, in the interest of peace in the thread, perhaps you might want to use the ignore button for Reid's posts. Offered as a friendly suggestion.
  23. ektoplazm netlabel on bandcamp > Organic Circuitry https://ektoplazm.bandcamp.com/album/organic-circuitry
  24. Now that you mention it, I have done something similar. Over the past decade or so, I have listened to and/or purchased from electronic and ambient artists who offer their albums and entire collections through bandcamp. I generally heard the music on any of a number internet stations I have grown to trust. Also, in some cases I knew the artists from live streamed performances, from personal contact at events I participated in, etc. I am on the mailing lists for a couple so I find out about new releases. I can't remember how many decades ago I gave a rat's tail about music pimped out by "the industry."
  25. I had REmatrix Player open (standalone) and then had a pop-up saying it has been updated (1.2.10) since I installed it.
