  1. if you go to File | New (as opposed to the start screen) do you see the templates shown? Do the demo projects display correctly?
  2. That's why we have both track and project templates. Track templates are probably the handiest way to take portions of a mix out of one project and just quickly add them to your existing other project files.
  3. @Takahiro Seki We've reported a few issues to Waves about crashes with V12, but if you would like us to check your dump file, please attach it to the post or send us a PM with the actual dump file or a link to it. You can find it in the path specified in the dialog you posted. Unfortunately we can't really do much with a screenshot of the prompt. Thanks!
  4. As mentioned, there seems to be an issue with this link, can you try sending a new one?
  5. If you have dropbox, google drive, or similar, you can always post a link too.
  6. It's all relative to the device driver. Some device support automatically change sample rates when opening projects, others do not. The Wasapi Shared driver mode can play projects at different rates from the current device setting though, but for ASIO it boils down to how each device handles it.
  7. You'll want to make sure that you notify Waves of crashes within the Waves shell. If you upload a dump here we can sanity check and forward to their development as well, but you always want to report issues with any plugin directly to the plugin developer.
  8. Is Cakewalk updated to the latest version? There was a potential hang on start fix that went into the very latest update. Otherwise there are some things you can change external to the app if there's an audio driver issue preventing the app from being able to start.
  9. We're not aware of any snap related issues. Can you be more specific about the nature of your problem? What view are you trying to use and what are you editing?
  10. Windows might be set to use a different sample rate than your projects. Windows will default to 48 KHz for the device, which means if you then open a project at 44.1, the windows sounds will stop working because of the mismatch. You can change the setting for Windows in the Device Properties
  11. We're aware of this issue as of 2020.11 and it's logged with development.
  12. Does it happen in every project or just the one(s) you're working on? For example, if you just import a wave file to a new project and export that, does that complete successfully? If can upload a project for us to try on our end that would be helpful.
  13. Go to Utilities | Cakewalk Plugin Manager, find Dimension Pro in the list and hit the Plugin Properties button, then check Configure as Synth
  14. @Michael Fogarty, what audio device are you using? If you try changing driver modes does this impact the waveforms drawing?
  15. Export/Bounce to Tracks with Fast Bounce disabled should work though. You can try an audible bounce if you want to check it while it goes.
  16. @winkpain Also interesting, apparently if you do an audible bounce for the freeze, I'm getting the Wet level for BREVERB, but not the EQ On/Off to render. Doing a bounce to track with audible bounce seems to work for everything too.
  17. Yeah, I can see it in the project. The one thing that might be tricky is the fact that you're using jumps, but if I replace that with linear curves it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'll see if I can narrow what's going on further.
  18. @winkpain I can see what you mean in your project. Looks like SONAR Platinum behaves the same, so this isn't a recent thing, but we'll investigate. Weirdly enough, I was testing with the Concrete Limiter, if I add that with an envelope for the threshold to the track, that still renders correctly even though the other modules don't.
  19. Is it specific to any particular module(s)? Also if you try a simple test automating something in a new project, does that render normally?
  20. Is it possible you're missing something in the export/bounce options? When I try it on my end, the automation renders correctly when doing a bounce or export. Maybe post a screenshot of the Export Audio dialog?
  21. yeah, i'd update the driver as @scook suggested. Can you record a clean signal if you bypass the external mic pre and go straight into the Focusrite? Also you could try hitting the "reset config to defaults" button on the Configuration File tab of the Preferences in the odd case your audio initialization file has become corrupted. @Noel Borthwick did a lot of work with Focusrite when implementing ASIO improvements.
  22. Holding CTRL will temporarily disable docking while dragging windows.
  23. Since SONAR Platinum, SONAR/Cakewalk by BandLab hasn't really hung its hat on the version number releases. As mentioned, we push updates on a regular basis gradually making changes to the app rather than having a big release with a patch or two per year. Cakewalk is still in active development, so there's always more in the pipeline. Nowadays the application version number simply changes with the year, so starting in 2021 it'll hit 27.xx.x.xxx.
  24. It sounds like you may need to configure your audio card for Cakewalk. This can be done in the Preferences. If you're using an integrated audio card that came with your computer, you should set this to WASAPI Shared or MME. If you're using a dedicated audio interface, that would work better in the ASIO driver mode.
