Is it a bug or am i missing something
Jonathan Sasor replied to user6998183183211456's question in Q&A
It's not really clear what the MIDI you're pasting is. It's definitely not the existing content that you made in the project. Sometimes certain synths will behave differently depending on what other extraneous data could be contained in the MIDI. Without being able to see the exact data in the clip that's not playing, it's hard to say, but you could look at what the details are in the Event List for what's in the pasted clip. -
SOLVED! Windows 11 Does Not Launch any Cakewalk Products
Jonathan Sasor replied to g-feel's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
If it's not a driver-related issue, then the specific redists shown in the other post are the ones that would need to be uninstalled and reinstalled, although the most likely one to try first would be the 2015-2022 X64 version. -
Cannot reactivate Cakewalk by Bandlab
Jonathan Sasor replied to Yves Chaput's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
The app needs to periodically renew its auth. This is independent from being logged in to either CPC or the BandLab site in general. When you launch the sign in from the CbB, it will launch a browser window for a sign in for the app. The alternative is to use the offline auth method by exporting the request and then loading that in CPC and importing the response back to CbB. -
That typically happens when something externally is blocking the registering of the DirectX plugins. If they've been registered previously, then there's no change to those, and you can just let the rest of the install complete. Otherwise make sure you don't have pending Windows updates or an aggressive antivirus that would otherwise block those files from being able to register with the OS.

This is related to the length of the track name on the Melodyne tab. We'll take a look. Thanks!

Please note that 2025.02 Update 1 (build 31.02.0.074) is now available. Thanks!

I'd suggest reaching out to the Community Team with questions like this as they'll be better able to answer sales-related questions. Thanks!

There's a few different ways to accomplish setting the project tempo from an audio clip. The above method works, but you can also do it via set project from clip in AudioSnap, or the Melodyne method. Editing the tempo in Melodyne for accuracy first yields the best results there, if your version supports that.

If you're getting crashes please obtain dump files and log a case/cases for development to investigate.

Request for Urgent Help - Sonar X1 Producer
Jonathan Sasor replied to SUMIT SIMLAI's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Yes, please avoid this in the future, I removed that from the post. Bearing in mind that X1 is rather long in the tooth... PM sent. -
If the hardware is working on your current setup, it should be fine with Sonar (as relative to Cakewalk by BandLab or legacy SONAR versions). Roland hasn't supported them for some time, so troubleshooting anything on them is a bit of a non-starter, but if you've been using it, then it should keep working.

drum Replacer is not meant to be in the normal plugin list. It should appear in Region FX

While we're generally working in Windows 11, we also still test on Windows 10. At least through October this year when Microsoft is discontinuing support. These issues seem like they might be more specific to a particular configuration as I haven't personally seen them on Windows 10.

Without having the proper debug symbols for things, it's going to be of limited value aside from seeing the faulting module, which may or may not be helpful. @Scott C. Stahl, @msmcleod has made some changes that definitely improve on the load time for your project on my end. That should be in the next Sonar update in the near future.

Account creation is only disabled for the legacy Cakewalk site. Otherwise the BandLab accounts will work and you can download through Product Center. While it won't necessarily impact the install itself... 4 gigs of RAM is definitely pushing it for being able to do much. Make sure Windows is as up to date as the machine will allow.

Take a look through this: If reinstalling the Visual Studio redistributables doesn't fix the issue, it may be audio driver related. You can always reach out to support directly for additional assistance.

Track Folders - Rare & Random Failure (for me. Maybe others?)
Jonathan Sasor replied to Rickddd's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I haven't seen/heard of this one before. If you can find a scenario where that's reproducible, then definitely log it via Help | Report A Problem. -
Installing any Cakewalk by BandLab or Sonar update will retain an existing TTS-1 install. We cannot distribute it with new versions, so it's just not included as part of the installers anymore.

Anything referencing LANDR would be from a legacy version of SONAR. It's no longer supported through the app for either Sonar or Cakewalk by BandLab.
