'tis true, although a lot can be done to spruce things up with the use of external FX and such, and with surprisingly little effort. Plus for those of us whose area of 'expertise' may lay elsewhere, and may only be light users, the likes of this and UVI's offerings etc may be more than enough, and you can't argue with the price. For those the price of the heavy weights may not seem justifiable all things considered. I scored this ages ago for some ridiculous price, it gets occasional use, which was the intent when I purchased it, and no regrets.

It all works fine, you get your key and download, no issues with install or authorization, works just like a new one. As to whether it is legit or not, I'd personally go with legit. Odd, I just update 25 or so, so I would imagine what you installed would have some overlap with what I installed, zero issues here.

In my experience Norton itself is a virus and best to be avoided, but that's just me. What if you just shut it down while you install, and then accidentally forget to fire it up again.

But I came across this, and you could actually look at the GUI without having permanent damage to your eye sight. So it pricked my interest, when I went to the Melda site it appeared that I already had an account there from many years ago, and 1 plugin in it. Beats me. v1.0.3 has taken a large portion of that 'beta' feeling out of it, it's quite good now. The Drive pack and the Cab pack(Seacow Cabs) are pretty good additions. Dudemeister (New) and Shibalba (Old) are damn fine amps, not that the others aren't. If I hadn't gone to TONEX I'd have/use these along with Softube, Nembrini and Kuassa, and T-HU but only as a IR/Cab loader with SuperCabinet, and some of the RIG Libraries, and of course Amplitube 5. As it is now I'll keep up with this and Softube, Nembrini and Kuassa, even though I won't use them, let everything else go, only use Amplitube 5 and TONEX until . . . Like to support the smaller guys that make good stuff (even though Softube is not small, good stuff), you never know what's coming down the line

Add me to the Tilt club, I have both of these, and I believe a couple of others, I take the Softube over them all, it goes on every guitar track.
