    Sad Day

Well done. The music has that sense of stately Russian classical melancholy. The power of music to create and communicate the highs and lows of our existence is staggering ????
  3. Thanks Dave ???? Thanks! ????
  4. Great work. Enjoyed very much. As was said above, if there are a few gaffs there I didn't hear them ?????
  5. Great work mark. The vox are great. The music is like a country soundscape that holds together as a beautiful song. ????
  6. Agree with all the above. You guys rock ????
  7. Thanks! I've been really into jazz guitar the last few years. There's a great YouTube instructor that's been a huge help. Her name is Sandra Sherman: Thanks Tom! Thank You freddy! Thanks Jesse!
  8. Thanks. You're not the only one who has noticed that, and rightly so. It's not an overtly happy type song and isn't meant to be. It's just not that kind of song. Cheers????
  9. Thanks Steve. I did an image search for "mirror" and this was one of the hits, and it really did hit me as the right fit for the song. The mix is the result of lots of trial and error and some luck/good fortune. The bass is the real thing double mixed, my 4 string Yamaha RBX170 through a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and then the CbB TH3 simulator and also just the bass signal through an auxiliary track without the TH3. There's also one bass passage where I added a Boss Flange pedal. Cheers????

  11. All your compositons have superb production and sound. Some of the absolute best in this group. ????

    Lead Me On

I like it. Real good song, vox, arrangement and mix. Possibly consider adding some backgroud vox here and there ????
  14. Very good song, I like it. The production is not how I'd do it (here it comes....my $.02 worth). Acoustic guitar needs less reverb, less boom (fix in EQ), less reverb on steel guitar, piano is cool, background vox are the right fit but need more clarity, vox is cool, didn't hear a bass guitar, play with panning to achieve clarity and the right presence of all instruments. It moves along quite nicely without any drums, nice violins swell at end ????

    Night Flight

Just my $.02....lower the lead guitar a dB or two, drums sound good but dry, add a bit of verb, bring the horns volume down a bit and maybe play around with their panning, overall play around with levels....again, just my taste. The mix sounds really clean and pro, just the tones on the instruments is what I'd change.
  18. It's all a matter of taste but I'd cut the reverb on the drums and pedal steel, do a high pass and low pass on the drums and what sounds like an accordian on some of its parts. The drums sound a little hot, maybe they aren't. I'd bring the bass up a dB or two. And maybe do some panning adjustments on the pedal steel settings. Just my $.02, great song.
  19. Yeah, this song has it. Playing, attitude, humor, great pedal steel guitar playing. I'd go for a mix which makes the instruments clearer. ????

    Night Flight

Great arrangements and playing, production needs a bit of work. ????
  21. The song writing and playing are great on this one, but as stated above the production and mix needs work. ????

    Dirty Lies

Very nice work on this piece. Worth listening to all the way through to hear how the playing all comes together and jells quietly yet powerfully. Ends a bit too quick, maybe a longer fade out. ????
