  1. Still waiting for the Bapu Bunch, Bapu's Island and My Favorite Bapu! ?
  2. Is that offer in Lira? ? (Which equates to about $294 USD!)
  3. Which would be cheaper and more useful unless you're keeping promises! ?
  4. Are you kidding??! The ladies are very into older gents now (I'm guessing that all of the young studs were never taught proper manners). ??
  5. It has the real Paul in it and not the fake one? ?
  6. Dang! $18 for two coffees???! Well Dave, after reading your post, I think my last trip to Vegas was the one I took back in the 90's! When I was touring playing darts (mid-80's), I used to go to the Strip twice a year. The Sahara on one end and the Hacienda on the other (both hotels are gone now). I would play Black Jack at $10 (or more) per hand and get rated by the Pit Boss which would usually get me a free hotel room. Of course, once that was done, I'd stop playing! I was good enough to almost break even so it only cost me an hour of my time and a couple of bucks. With all the buffets and free drinks I always stayed cheap. Not any more I guess! Sounds like you're doing it for all the right reasons though! ??
  7. Mind if I take a Slow Ride?
  8. Can't stand laptop trackpads! I have an inexpensive, small, wireless Logitech mouse that accompanies each of my laptops.
  9. Throughout the years Intel has always had more overclock room than AMD. Basically, ALL Intel chips are meant to be for the best/fastest group, however, they test each using a very large tolerance and sell the ones that just don't nail all the benchmarks as lower grade chips. AMD was never as good as Intel so they would sell their chips with very little tolerance over what they're spec'ed at. This is why you can often get lucky and buy an Intel chip that will overclock quite a bit, but you can hardly overclock AMD chips at all. That said, I'm with Jim on having either just provide rock-solid 5GHz across all cores so I don't have to toy with overclocking at all! ?
  10. Does your Cadillac convertible have a catalytic converter? Does your conservatory caretaker have a criminal conviction? Does your carapace carcinoma have a chemotherapy contrast? Does your confused crustacean have carapace claustrophobia?
  11. Hmm... Makes me wonder if I need a mat...
  12. Provided the software you're using can even USE those extra cores, ya? I've heard that most things out there will still overtax one core (say 80%), then off load to one or three more reliably (and at lower percentages). The others tend to just sit around... Hopefully that's changed (or is changing).
  13. That's so nice to know it's not a bottle-neck any more. Thanks Jim! (And others who chimed in.) Ok, it's time for me to make some MONEY! I "need" gear and a much better computer for my DAW. ?
  14. Can't help myself; I must ask... Do they print their catalog in color? ?
  15. A Musician's Friend catalog? ?
  16. Was just reading the Ryzen thread and the following question popped into my head. For recording audio with several tracks recording and/or playing back at higher resolutions (say 24/96 for sake of example), and, for fun, let's include a bunch of audio mangling (your choice, compression, pitch shifting, modulation, whatever), what do you think would be more useful? More cores (i.e., off-loading the processing to multiple cores) RAID striping (i.e., speeding up the writing of LOTS of data by striping to multiple drives) Sure, BOTH is the best answer, but I was just toying with the idea for kicks and giggles.
  17. Hehe... I STILL have Jazz Drives in storage...
