Wibbles
It's time to enter the wonderful and frightening world of The Fall. The only constant of the band in its 40 plus year history was the legendary Mark E Smith. He was a somewhat demanding man to work with. There is a wiki page dedicated to the former members of the band. There's over 40 of them.
Wibbles
Speaking of Mark Smith (who is most definitely a Northerner), here's a track that helped to provide the soundtrack for my first year at university:

Notes_Norton
Time for some late 70s fusion jazz... Michael Colombier - (self-titled album) With folks like Michael Brecker, Lee Ritenour, Herbie Hancock, Jaco Pastorius, Michael Boddicker, Larry Carlton, Tom Scott and other giants of the day. It's like an old friend. I'm past this kind of music now, but revisiting it is definitely fun. Edited November 2, 2019 by Notes_Norton

Notes_Norton
The Great Gig In The Sky - Pink Floyd Man that gal can wail!!! Clare H. Torry improvised it on the spot, and then asked meekly if it was any good. (sorry about the double-click - I can't promise it won't happen again - I'm like that) Edited November 2, 2019 by Notes_Norton
