  1. I'm in there in CbB w/ my dual amp sim rig on two separate tracks and playing through them simultaneously when suddenly I notice the Interleave button on the tracks, which I've never messed with before. Clicking it alternates between mono and stereo Interleave. This confused me because I've already set the track inputs to mono, so what's this "stereo/mono Interleave" business? I searched and found this great post by bitflipper (7th post down) http://forum.cakewalk.com/m/tm.aspx?m=2956296&p=1 This explained it better than I had hoped for, but then he said this: "The output of every mono track will normally be routed to a stereo bus. This is not a conundrum, it's how it has always been. The single audio stream is simply split and sent to both sides of the stereo bus. The track's pan knob merely determines how much of the signal goes to the left side and how much goes to the right side." I always take what bitflipper says about Cakewalk as Cakewalk gospel so I'm only looking for a bit more clarification - because I had researched this previously and read several places that mono tracks should go to mono buses unless there's stereo effects on said buses. Because I run a dual amp sim rig, in order to keep the two audio tracks which the sims are on at unity but still be able to blend them I send each sim track to their own mono bus so I can freely blend the two sim levels to taste w/ each other. So basically I treat those two mono buses as if they were the main amp sim audio tracks and this way I can leave the initial tracks' faders alone and blend the two sims w/ the bus faders - and then those two mono buses get routed to a "guitar amp master" bus which is mono in the meantime until a stereo effect gets put on there, though I suppose this guitar master bus can be stereo from the get go if that's how it should be... Is it appropriate, for this particular scenario, that I use mono buses for those two amp sim tracks, or should those two buses even in this scenario be stereo? So after reading bitflippers post at the old forum, here's how I'm thinking to set things: The two audio tracks, each w/ their own amp sim for the dual amp rig, will be mono input tracks that are each set to mono Interleave - and those two tracks get sent to their own separate mono buses for blending purposes, and then those two buses get sent to a stereo "Guitar Master" bus (where any stereo effect like reverb etc would be placed) which ultimately gets sent to the main stereo Master bus. How does that sound? Thanks for that old post @bitflipper, that was rad, answered all the things.
  2. Though this is cool, I was hoping this would be a reworking of the Recabinet 5 IR loader itself. I suspect that may come when he releases his new amps
  3. D@mn.. I thought I was gonna come here and beat you to it lol.. You really *are* on top of this game cuz
  4. No more than medium rare man. Well someone told me that Dr. Bonkers makes some of the best bass cab IRs by far and he recommended a few specific ones that came out to about $38.. And if I understand correctly, that code down there will take 20% off the already sale price.. but only on the day of Black Friday (it doesn't currently work): kfas19
  5. I pretty much executed my plan a couple hours ago, which was to anticipate a good Nembrini sale which he delivered w/ another 80% off, so I scored the PSA1000, The Boss and the Soldano amp. I guess that was $245 worth of stuff that I got for $49. Like bitman I don't buy stuff I don't have immediate use for. I also scored Audiority's HM2 cuz it's dope and was the first distortion pedal I had as a kid. Scored that for little over $8 (usually $20) from Plugin Boutique. The only other thing I'm after is Kuassa's Matchlock and a steak dinner.
  6. Oh s#!t.. Where's Zo? Lol I misjudged his PSA1000 last time. I didn't get a chance to demo it for myself last time as I had too much going on and instead I was looking at people on YouTube demoing it - and it didn't really seem to sound or respond like a real PSA-1 so I let this deal skate by last time. I've got a real PSA-1 (not the supposedly inferior 1.1) that I've had for over 20 years, and as I've been demoing the PSA1000 the last few days I can say it actually sounds d@mn close to the hardware, especially where it counts, which for me is the TWANG. The PSA-1 has this uncanny ability to twang like a tele even when the distortions are cranked (there's like three knobs on the PSA-1 that give you distortion; Preamp, Punch, and Drive). There's this sharp glassy twang you get when you turn down the Punch knob that for the most part is retained even when the other gains are cranked. And I found that the PSA1000 is able to do this too. Probably most people don't have the hardware to compare, and actually from reading around it seems most who've been using a PSA-1 emu plug have never actually used the hardware at all and that includes the guys who've been using the Pro Tools plugin forever, but to my ears anyway the PSA1000 is very close to the original and is a cool plug in its own right. It's also a bad@ss guitar/bass amp sim when paired w/ a power amp sim and some great IRs, which is how I'm using it. Same goes for his Guv'ner pedal a.k.a The Boss.. I've been demoing that too and it's pretty dope w/ the free [Ignite] TPA-1 power amp and some IRs. Right now the only amp sims I'm using are the MRH810, PSA1000 and The Boss (and incidentally the Brainworx Ampeg VR which he also made). I'm not a fanboy of this guy; he just happens to make the high-end stuff that I'm liking the best, and because as I've said forever I don't like suites. Ok I gotta watch the Sondland hearing *sigh*
  7. Lol yeah, but this time of year it's a gamble as to whether you take your shot on a BF sale, or wait for Cyber Monday, or wait for Christmas, or put everything down on New Years lol.
  8. I just want Matchlock right now. Everyplugin has it at $29.75, but you know how it is.. always trying to knock off that extra dollar. It ain't just about getting the gear.. it's about the game of the deal, which involves jet ski the president of patience, forecasting, prioritizing, and usually losing.
  9. Ah ok thanks. I'm trying to bring some Kuassa prices down further.
  10. Everyplugin is having BF sales and all that, but was wondering if anyone knows of a coupon code that can bring their prices even lower, like how JRR shop does?
  11. If you mean proactively included, i.e. that you would qualify to receive it for free because of a past purchase of the All bundle - no. Because in that case they'd never get any sales from anyone who's ever previously purchased that bundle, if every new future release should be given free to those who previously purchased the All bundle. If that's what you mean.
  12. Yeah that's it. Actually iirc I think I used that additional coupon which did make it $29. Well I remember something weird happening, like the coupon applied itself automatically or something and made the price $29. But that everything bundle is synths too, not just drums.
  13. Samples from Mars' stuff is cool and worth getting. Last year around this time I think it was, they were selling their entire catalog for $39 for a miniute. I had already spent all my gear money but then I happened to see that deal on Facebook, everything for $39 and I got it. Keep an eye out in case they do that again.
  14. Nah, that's the thing; my electric bills are relatively low/normal. But sure, put me down as using 150% more resources than the Joneses across the way I've been trying to keep up with, see if I give a f***. 😎
  15. No kids, but I still get this bulls#*t letter from the Light company every other month telling me I'm using 150% more electricity than my neighbors and it shows a cute little graph with me supposedly waaay above the rest lol. Lies. I sit in the dark a third of the time. It's this standard letter that they try half-assedly to make look personalized but it's standard and I believe they send this letter to everyone as a clever idea some manager type dude had to get everyone to conserve - which in and of itself is not a bad thing, but. Lol as I live alone now there's no way I'm using 150% more electricity than the families around me, and my studio's almost fully itb. And each time they send the letter too the percentage of how much more I'm using than my neighbors increases lol. Last time it was something like 110%. Now it's over 150%. How high's it gonna get?
  16. I had heard they did that.. When did they do that and were they letting every plug go for $9?
  17. Well you know what I always say.. It's like w/ the Subway $5 footlong.. they've conditioned me to believe it's not worth paying more than that for one so I almost never go there now, and likewise I just about refuse to pay more than $29 for a Waves plugin. And that, is their fault.
  18. Pretty dope linkin park-ish vibe man. What octaver is on the guitar? I often use a poly octaver pedal, either the ehx micro pog or subnup. Now you gotta rap to it..
  19. What do you like from Kuassa?
  20. Ah I was referring to the Nembrini one.. at least I think it's a Gov'ner emu - this thing here https://www.nembriniaudio.com/products/the-boss-led-diode-distortion anyway
  21. That's cool, I've been waiting on the OmniChannel and forgot about that. I was actually gonna buy the CLA-2A too, but are you saying it'd be redundant if one has the OmniChannel?
