  1. Thanks for asking. I'm not launched yet, and I will put info here when I do. I'm taking some good advice from another YouTuber, which is to finish four videos before you put the first one up. The idea is to try to keep to a one video a week schedule, so it's good to start out ahead. In the past I used to do a video and then think about what I would do next (which usually involved weeks of research). Now I have 20 video ideas in a spreadsheet. I'm thinking about all of them, and moving the order around. For example, I didn't feel I had really thought through my script for the second video, so I did the third video before that.. I doubt my channel will be up until December. I have some other things going on in my life that are getting in the way.
  2. There are also some other deals. Keepforest Classic Metal hits is 99 cents (normally $29.99) and Just Sound Effects' transition whooshes is $11.60 ($29.99) https://keep-forest.com/store/sound-effects?sort=lowPrice If you go up to around $20, there are some interesting things. I'm looking at their Horror Jumpscares for $19.60 (normally $49) This stuff could be hilarious in my videos. https://keep-forest.com/store/sound-effects/225448 But I suppose there will be a lot of good deals to be had on FX around this time of year.
  3. I have to be honest and say that I bought the bundle last year for around a hundred bucks, but haven't gotten deep into anything but Playbeat. I did the usual thing of watching the videos so I would understand Riffer and Chordjam, but then when I got the bundle I just didn't spend much time with them. The real reason for this is that I have been focusing on making videos. I bet a few of you have done something similar. Buy a bundle and don't use everything. Perhaps in retrospect, I just should have only bought Playbeat. Anyway, there is no real break for owning the bundle and getting Loopmix. If I want it, I'm going to have to pay around $40. I think the best deal is JRRShop. I'm going to watch the videos some more. Playbeat is great for popping out a quick cue that nobody else has (important for YouTube). And I think Loopmix will be the same. Another thing is that these are the only ones Audiomodern supports with Expansions (although Loopmix currently only has one that isn't in the factory library.) So maybe think about what you really want.
  4. My upgrade price is now $169. Hmmm.. I own three. My luck is that one of the ones I bought was their current freebie, Little Radiator. Years ago I would have taken this deal in a second. I even wrote them and said "let me buy at the usual price" They didn't write back. Now I'm in a different place, so I don't think so.
  5. https://www.ujam.com/store/ 50% off on most things, except for the new stuff. Special deal of $29.70 (70% off) on the Retro Finisher. For the last few years there have been big discount deals on a specific product at each store. So... something at Plugin Boutique, something at Best Service, Audiodeluxe, JRRShop, etc. I think it's best to wait and see what those are before springing for one of these 50% off deals.
  6. http://www.tsugi-studio.com/web/en/index.html Modules are normally $49 and now they are $24.50 I just love these things. Basically these are Standalones that allow you to draw in your effects (see video). When you're done, you output as waves. You can ask it to generate some variations too. The sounds can be a touch synthy, but for my uses it is amazing to be able to follow exactly what is going on screen. It can save you a lot of time. I bought DSP Action and DSP Motion last year. Recently they updated them so that you can load in video, which makes it even easier to make my sounds. They are perfect companions for the new Krotos Studio. I have written Krotos and said it would be much more useful to editors if it was standalone too. At this point I just load it in Unify and I can drag the audio files right into Premiere. They even provide a whole set of Stream Deck Keys for DSP Motion. http://tsugi-studio.com/blog/2020/09/24/dsp-motion-and-stream-deck/ This year I'm going to get two more modules: DSP Fantasy and DSP Sci-Fi. You can get a lot more kinds of sounds out of them than the genre names suggest.
  7. There is a MIDI program that comes with the Stream Deck and you can assign CC (and anything MIDI) to the streamdeck. But that's just buttons. I will let you know if it works with the knobs when I get my Stream Deck + in December, but I assume I will find that functionality in the sideshowfx template, as that's a pretty basic thing.
  8. And what reasonable people call doing ***** all to make it better.
  9. $199.99 https://www.elgato.com/en Check out the Cubase template from sideshow FX and you can see the potential this has. They've already created templates for Photoshop and Davinci Resolve. I am going to send a note today and beg for Premiere. New Elgato products tend to sell out fast. I bought it and mine is coming in early December. Usually sideshow fx has BF sales.
  10. Larry, do you happen to know how long this deal is on?
  11. I guess I will wait until next year, so I can get Augmented Piano in the deal. Maybe they'll even augment something else by then. 😀
  12. HAHAHAHAHAHA! When the BF deals come round you WILL ALL BUY CUBE! 💸💸
  13. Well done! I definitely got into multis and made it more complicated than I needed to. I just wanted everything that was available to click on to work.
  14. This is a nice deal, but it stops at Origins 7. If they ever offer this deal for Origins 8: Fado Guitar and Cavaquinho, I'll take it. I'm a big fan of this series and bought up all of them up to 6 when they came out. This does make me want to return to them soon and compose something.
  15. I think that this little Cube is easily worth more than $10, but beware, it will make you want the full Cube, when the BF prices come along. I don't have Cube Mini, but I do have Cube, which I love. It's one of the most ingenious user interfaces I've seen. 8 samples in a 3D space. And it sounds great. It's so easy to set up interesting modulation patterns. When I got it, I liked it so much that I sent a note to @Simeon Amburgey and he did a video on it. When I first started seeing videos on it, in 2021 I knew I wanted it, but it cost a fortune. I eventually got it for a little over a hundred and it came with their first expansion, Air (Winds). They then came out with two more, Threads (Strings) and Rumble (Bass and Percussion) These cost $49, but will no doubt be heavily discounted this month.. They also come out with many sets of free presets. These don't include new samples, like the paid stuff. https://lunacy.audio/cube-preset-packs/ Not so many free preset packs as Audiomodern, and two don't work unless you own the paid expansions Air or Threads, but I like this way that Lunacy Audio keeps providing additional value for their customers. Unfortunately, I don't think the Mini Cube plays the free preset packs, although it does load the paid expansions.
  16. I did think about making a video, but it was a big PITA to do. I also didn't mention that there was one library I wanted to put in that I couldn't. I think it was Orchestral Percussion. As I couldn't make it work completely, I didn't feel comfortable giving advice. Anyway, now I've forgotten exactly how I did it. 😀 But I'm happy to not have a hard drive filled up with stuff I'll never use. I don't know about all of you, but I find IK installation so convoluted that I often end up with duplicate installations. This took care of that. I suppose that if I get Total Studio 4, I mad have to go through the whole exercise again.
  17. There is the basic Core Usynth, but after that they are all targeted to a genre or kind of sound: Drive (House), Deluxe (Soul Keys), 2080 (Future Retro Waves), Euphoria (Electronic Dance), and Caramel (Ambient Pads and Soundscapes). The Core is probable the best one to buy, but you don't need to. Like this freebie Drive, the others all work on their own. I think they are meant to work seamlessly with the Beatmakers. You can download any of them for free for a month and see if you like them. And of course, I think we can count on the BF ujam 50% off sale coming soon. And there usually is a special ujam deal in each store.
  18. I agree it sounds great, but $159!!!????? We know it will be $19.95 soon or even a giveaway at Plugin Boutique. But @Simeon Amburgey please do this one!
  19. It's not hard to do. I removed all the SampleTank stuff I'm not using. But... it will be a bit of work if I ever upgrade. Essentially when you install SampleTank it puts in all the instruments. But that's just links. You have to then install the content so it links to something. But it's not hard to remove the various files from the installation and the content. I moved them over to a backup drive in case I ever wanted them back. It takes a little time to figure it out, but the result for me was a much more useful and less bloated SampleTank. For example, I don't like to have the Syntronik stuff there. When you add new instruments, it adds the ST links and the content at the same time. So I don't think I'll have issues if I add content, but if I update SampleTank I will have to do everything all over again.
  20. A lotta new SampleTank libraries are up now. They are getting going on having new stuff to put in Total Studio MAX 4!

    That's your opinion. 🙃
  22. I'm glad Vegas is still working for you, Simeon. Because I make videos that are multi-layered, tons of tracks, Vegas used to crash on me all the time. Premiere has been fine, so I'm glad I made the move.
  23. Interesting, but how can anybody make music with only 60 plugins? 🤬 As most of you know, I don't buy or use plugins from Waves anymore. I just buy WUP. I can't get enough of that WUP! So let me know when there's a good sale on WUP and sign me up! WUP! There it is!
