It was offered to me (maybe ver 4 or 5). It's a monthly fee that entitle me to early releases (usually 2 days before general release) and 99.99% time if there is an upgrade fee (like v9) it's "free" to all Plugged-In members. I have also never paid for any new plugin they introduce (again "free"). 99% of every year the fee is less than the costs associated with upgrades and plugin costs. TBH I'm not sure if they still offer it.

Are you TONE DEAF or MUSICALLY GIFTED? (A FUN test for non-musicians)
Bapu replied to Old Joad's topic in The Coffee House
You're in great company. I was 14 out of 15 too. -
Right now I'm WUP'd through 25 Jan 2024. Gives me almost 10 months to decide what to do based on what the new "plan" is.

That guy reminds me of the music producer Marc Daniel Nelson

Well I'm not tone deaf (according to this test) but I'm one brick shy of genius. -
It seems to me that falls to the manufacturer. but I could be wrong.

An eventual murderer appropriated his girlfriend's piano part and was credited for it on an Eric Clapton song and dissing her. As Hunter S. Thompson (may or may not have) said: “The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.”

I replaced by RME UFX and my 2 OctaMICII units with 3 Apollo x8p units and an Apollo Twin Duo. I own every released UAD plugin except the Spitfire libs for Luna (I'm not on a Mac). I also have an 8 channle Berhinger light pipe unit for line inputs . That's 34 inputs. And I have 2 USB 3 OCTO Core Satellites. I guess you could say I'm a full on UAD guy now. Next weekend I'll be doing my first live drum tracking using 16 unison channels of API Vision Strips (2 OH, 2 Snare, 4 Kick, 4 toms, and 4 spot mics on hats, ride and 2 crashes). Should be interesting. OH = AEA R88 Snare = Earthworks top, AKG C414 bottom Kick = 1970's D12, Lewit DTP 640 dual capsule (cond and dyn), Solomon SUB mic Cymbals Spot mics = 4 Sennheiser e604 Toms = 4 Sennheiser e614 mics

If there was one reverb that did everything for everybody all at once....... there'd only be one reverb.

In my previous life (marriage) we had three parrots: an African Grey, a Yellowhead Amazon and a Yellow Crested Cockatoo. It was pure chaos (hell) when they all three started talking (and /or screeching too).

#6 can either be whatever plug you prefer for eq or COS Pro with its extensive list of presets. #9. Gain stage Master Bus using MM with the Master Bus preset (-20) and they suggest that goes into CLA Mix plugin. After that either send that to mastering or use bx_masterdesk, IK's Lurssen or Slate FG-X2 for at-home mastering.

So here is an update: I spent half of Saturday and most of today (Sunday) re-mixing and older project using these two tools. I watched the Monolith tutorials for drums, master bus and the vocals. as well as some generic COS Pro vids. Tomorrow I'm going to do an a/b test of the old mix versus the new bearing in mind that in the old mix I did heavy handed Trigger2 sample augmentation by almost entirely replacing the kick and snare. In thie new mix I'm using all the live drums without any Trigger2.
